  2. I did pass the Academy on the way to pikes peak and garden of the gods but didn’t get a chance to stop in. I’m ex Air Force (enlisted) so it was cool to pass at least.
  3. Meow Wolf was even crazier than I thought it was. Such a bizarre and wonderful spot. First time at a dispensary. It’s like picking out candy. I actually can’t believe how inexpensive it was. Garden of the Gods was amazing as expected. And Bills fans were deep at Jackson’s. What a great game to watch, too. At Temaki Den, I had probably the best Japanese whiskey I’ve ever had in my life. Nikka single malt. Melts in your mouth. The sushi wasn’t bad either. I wanted to check out red rocks but we never got the time. If we ever go back it’s first on our agenda.
  4. I was in first or second grade, hanging on a tree limb while my grandma raked leaves. The branch cracked, sending me falling with the back of my head hitting her waist-high rock wall, which outlined the property. I don't remember how I felt but I will always remember hearing the sound of what I thought was a baseball unravelling in slow motion by my ear. A whoosh sound.
  5. I'll be there! I'll be curious how it compares to Atlanta's and Manhattan's Bills bars. Look for the couple wearing Bills gear. (joke) Now taking recommendations for No. 1 thing to see while there. Got Pike's Peak / Garden of the Gods and some sushi place called Temaki Den so far.
  6. The wife and I are in Denver Sunday and I'm hoping to catch the Baltimore game. Is Jackson's LODO Bar and Grill the best spot to watch the Bills? Never been to Denver before. Looking forward to it.
  7. It’s “disturbing” that so many of us find it acceptable for someone to throw a clipboard down? Disturbing is a strong word man. Perhaps it’s even more disturbing to compare said person throwing said clipboard down to a man murdering his ex-wife to try to make some logical point when it’s anything but logical? Moving on.
  8. The team, a quarter of it injured, left everything on that field Sunday. Missed opps bit us. Not a mentality. This place is miserable sometimes.
  9. He lost his cool over a crazy situation. “Mental health”? Unhinged”? Goodness, y’all. Overreact/overthink much? Next…
  10. For the obligatory Edmunds comment, his instinct to the ball today so far has been horrible.
  11. Standing in the fourth when it’s close? Standing on 4th down? A big play? Sure. But the whole game? These people are the same types of people who recline the airplane seats all the way back for the entire ride just because they can. I’m 6.4. No thanks.
  12. If the season ended now would we even make the playoffs? McD must go.
  13. If Matt Milano gets hurt for a long stretch, which he has several times, it has a very small impact, as good as he is. If Josh Allen gets hurt for a long stretch, we’re probably not going to the playoffs. Allen is the offense. I love the runs, personally. It adds an extra dimension to our game. I think we can all agree running him in the fourth quarter when we’re up, even if it was RPO, was reckless and unnecessary.
  14. In major American cities, first half of 2022 compared to previous period: Residential burglaries (+6%) Nonresidential burglaries (+8%) Larcenies (+20%) Motor vehicle thefts (+15%) Aggravated assaults (+4%) Robberies (+19%) Murder (-2%) ... but up 39% overall since the pandemic/2000 summer of social unrest Source: Council on Criminal Justice Everything is a cycle, but those who are mocking people for saying things are out of control, are out of touch.
  15. The problem wasn't finding a way against the Chiefs. It was playing too soft on defense and not tackling in the last 13 seconds. We had a 95% chance of winning that game after Allen found a way. Bills: Prevent the prevent Cardinals: Should've played baseball Patriots: Question: What's the same height? Answer: Lil Mac's floor and ceiling Dolphins: Something's fishy Browns: Hold my beer
  16. At this point in offseason nonsense, we may as well throw Mac Jones' hat in the ring. PS: Burrow looks like he should be starring in Home Alone 5.
  17. Dude - did you read the post? It's a fact that this defense was built to beat KC. That doesn't mean it didn't. Good grief man. Do you really not understand the difference between intent and result?
  18. With all due respect, his D isn't soft. Tell that to Poyer, Hyde and everyone else. We have a D built to beat KC and NE with an O designed to score lots of points. (It obviously didn't work the second time and I'd agree the prevent D was atrocious in that last game.) We stop the pass and the running QB. His D is the No. 1 secondary in the league. We can't stop everything. The team isn't built to defend the Darrick Henry's of the world. Besides, one RB alone isn't going to outscore Allen and Co. on most Sundays. If that's "soft" then so be it. I'm not saying that shouldn't change but that was the design this season. I stand by my point - finding a DC if Frazier leaves might cause a long bump performance-wise.
  19. This comment encapsulates the point of the thread. You want him fired because his playcalling sucked in the second game against KC and because our players weren't fast enough to tackle Hill? What about the rest of the year? We're really going to fire the DC responsible for the No. 1 defense (by a landslide) in the NFL? Then, we find a DC on a DC tree and everything will be better ... because.
  20. For those who didn't read past the headline -- Johnny Hammersticks, Bruffalo -- I'll sum up my point: With breaks in continuity, success can be fleeting -- enjoy it while it lasts. No, that's not a wisdom bomb, just a small thing to think about. I'll make sure to drop greater wisdom next time. Our coordinators are at the top of their game. I don't understand what magic knowledge people have by wanting them gone. There is a good chance this team could take a bit of time to adjust. Roethlisberger took two years to adjust to Haley, his new OC many years ago. I don't think that's an inane comment frankly. But what do I know. Nice find.
  21. PLIERS? Growing up, my dad made me use my teeth. Boomers don't know how lucky they had it.
