  1. Smartest thing I've seen posted on this board in a while. The biggest difference between people who are great at data analysis and people who just like to look smart, is that they are able to read between the lines of the data. THAT is the reason why FootballOutsiders and PFF are a bunch of frauds. It's a harsh word, but I can think of nothing better. Those outlets either refused to, or lacked the competence and ability to, watch tape and interviews and figure out WHY Josh Allen had a low completion rate. They just lumped him in with everybody else. Now that PFF and FO are begrudgingly giving Allen props while still throwing back-handed compliments shows that they will continue to make these blunders in the future with prospects. As for Diggs, we're just spreading the wealth while the defense is on higher alert covering him compared to last season. Two very important factors that would lower even Jerry Rice's stats. If the rest of our WR's were bad, we would be force-feeding Diggs leading to more INTs, drops, and incompletions. The biggest thing for me is that every time the balls comes Diggs way, he is just as elite as last season. The same caliber of player. He's just getting less targets. My only concern would be if he begins to pout, but his body language on the field and attitude during interviews shows that not only is he confident he will get his, but he is happier to see the team and offence become elite rather than the offense mediocre but his stats elite. Dude just wants to win and loves Allen.
  2. The only other person that thinks like him is Gene1973. Suspiciously similar names.
  3. Are we also going to take down Ray Lewis? Or did the media not brainwash you enough regarding Lewis to get emotional about it?
  4. Why? Not guilty. Or is it because of the weird memorabilia heist? Are we going to take down Jim Kelly too because of the rumors?
  5. You attach the motive of money. If the son theory was true, then the book was a deflection. Which makes more sense actually.
  6. I'll throw it out there: I would shake his hand if I saw him. I don't think he did it. Over the years the "son theory" makes way more sense. If true, it would make him a better person and father than practically anybody you could ever meet.
  7. Bingo. Promotes narcissism. Approval seeking behavior. But it's almost like an excuse. "I'm not just arrogantly showing off my rear end, I'm making a dance video to show how goofy and fun-loving I am." It's very see through, but it's been promoted as the cool thing to do. To me it exposes neediness.
  8. If he never gets back to where he was a few years ago, his closest comp becomes Kurt Warner. A very, very well-paid Kurt Warner.
  9. People are underestimating the Pats. Those will be 2 potentially tough games. Never write off Belichick.
  10. Only feels impossible because of the hype. It's very possible he becomes a 2 or 3 year wonder. Maybe not a bum, but falls to Stafford or Prescott levels.
  11. Time and the truth are close cousins. Not long ago when even "Bills fans" loved to rub it in how much better Jackson and Mahomes are than Allen.
  12. Would be a slight upgrade. Unsure if that's the best move we could make, but it's definitely not the worst move.
  13. Mahomes never faced big adversity in the NFL. He walked possibly into the greatest QB situation of all time. Allen arguably the worst. Now we will see Mahomes is really made of. We already know that Allen is what the intelligentsia calls "anti-fragile". Diamonds that form under intense pressure.
  14. I vote for the word "meh" to be eliminated from the English language.
  15. Everytime I listen to Erik Turner I wonder why I listen to anybody on this forum.
  16. Speaking as someone who had a bad case of Covid around the same time as Dawkins but was not hospitalized, it's a miracle he plays at all.
  17. Anybody notice the announcers have this weird obsession with Daboll? If Allen makes any good play, it's a credit to Daboll. If Allen makes a mistake, it's on Allen. What's up with that? Is he so good he's disrupting some sort of matrix? Or are people such zombies they stick to their opinions rain, sleet, or snow for years? "Allen had Sanders wide open in the end zone! How could he miss that?!". (While he's running for his life) "Allen had the easiest TD of his life to Beasley there. Easiest throw of his career". (While 4 guys chasing and on the run firing a perfectly accurate missile to go ahead in a game against a playoff team on the road before half during primetime). I want to say it's comedic, but I feel like Allen is exposing something about human nature. I just can't figure out what it is. And why can't everybody get behind the most talented to QB we might ever have seen in the NFL? No stories about his arm strength? His hurdling? His velocity? Don't national fans love hearing about that kind of stuff? Why is Daboll the better story?
  18. It's a week to week league, but it doesn't mean you have to be a week to week thinker. Cardinals still have a lot to prove. More than us. Murray slips up next week and then what? Will there be another boogie man that we should be scared of?
