An early regular season game too. Not even playoffs. Warriors.

Patriots Game 2021, Dolphins Game, Anomalies

In a weird way, we played above and beyond our potential today all things considering. -
Trevor Lawrence….another quality young buck in the AFC?
ToGoGo replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he'll end up better than Burrow and Herbert. Allen and Mahomes level I don't know. -
This place is so cathartic after losses.
ToGoGo replied to BIGFOOTspaceman's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the "no excuses" hardass posters that annoy me the most after losses. It's like it gives them power to point fingers, and they look forward to losses for that reason. -
Worth 15 yards for Allen to smack him. We're no pushovers.

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme

We lost? Who can I blame? How about the coach!!! -
I think you need to calm down.

A Few Thoughts About the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
ToGoGo replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you should hand in your "weekly thread" card. You're too short-sighted and having a privilege weekly thread like this requires more wisdom. -
How about the missed SPIKE at the end of the 1st half!

But we're winning the Super Bowl this year so it's all good. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol

"Investigation" -
I don't know guys. 1. 45 yards for the touchdown OR 2. 45 yards for the field goal Historically, the second option is way better.

It's a shame we lost. The "Butt Safety" would have joined the pantheon along with the "Butt Fumble".
-
Also we have a brutal 4 game stretch coming up. Wish we could've pulled this one out.
-
No, it sucks. But I agree it's an aberration. We won't be this unlucky again this year. We'll make up for it.

I also think that's why Dorsey went nuts. They probably told everyone 100 times before that drive to get out of bounds if you have any opportunity to do so or just get down immediately. How about the entire oline just standing around and the ref lazily running the ball back to the LOS. Weird, weird game. The universe really conspired against us this week. As for the OP, we're a winning organization. We don't listen to loser talk. Last thing we need are loser fans getting viruses in the player's heads like "we don't win close games". -
This game exposed we rely to much on Josh again
ToGoGo replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're right. But I guarantee you Josh will never forget that McKenzie miss the rest of his career and it will drive him to be even better. THAT'S why he's superman. -

Shows he cares. -
It's very dangerous on a hot day. As we saw today.

The truth is the Dolphins have a (in my opinion) incredibly unethical advantage with the sunlight hitting the road team. Incrediblely bad sportsmanship by the city and team.

Allen's a f-cking warrior. Unlike OP. That McKenzie miss will bother him the rest of the year. -
Can you imagine how stupid the poster that you replied to is? Unbelievable.
-
True. I guess I was saying that they'll never be more than a wildcard type team with Tua. If I was Dolphins GM and I was serious about building a SB contender for the long term, I would be quietly looking at other QB options.
-
Tua is going to be a decent middle of the pack NFL starter. He can make *most* NFL throws. In terms of peak, he feels like a Tyrod Taylor-level QB with less arm and minus the running ability obviously, but maybe more accurate. But Tyrod never had Tyreek Hill and Waddle and Gisecki to throw to. That's some wide catch radiuses right there. I watched the Ravens game. He made decent throws. The Dolphins receivers had an obscene amount of YAC. And Hill's touchdowns were underthrown, underchalleneged by DBs, or wide open. The game winning TD I can't take anything away from. Clutch and nice throw. He can't take then further than 10-7. Probably ever.
