How many missed blocks and assignments did the Oline have today?

I can't wait for a team to take Daboll away from us and fall for his BS. As cute as we seem, we run the most inefficient offense. Singletary is used maybe half as much as he should be, Foster was misused, McKenzie was underused. The truth was, I was annoyed all year with the clamoring for Duke Williams. But after seeing him the last two games, the kid is baller. I am now convinced McDermott was just stubborn. It makes me question all the other decisions we made. For all the good we've done, Allen could've developed way more this season and we should've won the division. We CHOKED today, guys. CHOKED. And we did it with the usual suspects. Cody Ford, Frank Gore, Daboll, and Allen fumbling and taking sacks. It's a miracle we even got to OT.

This game will always bother me. Always. Because we should have won.

His hero worship was always weird. Frank Gore was NEVER considered one of the greats. He was a solid player who lasted a long time. Seeing him up there with Payton and Smith is an oddity. I get treating veterans well to encourage them to come here, but not at the expense of losing. McDermott needs to look in the mirror in the offseason. And Beane needs to stop being a pansy and spend some of his salary cap on better offensive players.

We had such a good flow going on offense. You lose 2 downs with Gore and have the clock. I defend McDermott a lot, but that is absolutely awful. In the playoffs? WTF

You can't be elite at every position. He's as good or slightly better than replacement IMO. How much he gets paid doesn't matter unless it handicaps the team's salary cap. If it doesn't, then it's a personal issue between the fan and how much money another person makes.

Gotcha, thanks. From what I've read, the Jills were being exploited and rightfully spoke up after many years. Personally, I think the game experience could use hot cheerleaders, but maybe I'm just a small minority. As for Marc, I don't really care what happens. But I will stand up for his right to make money. I think using his likeness without his permission was a really shady move. And I thought it was weird how everyone instantly turned on him because he wanted to get paid.

I think even a dumb person could understand the concept. But a closed-minded person? It's one thing if they were using his likeness to promote a non-profit event and he was asking for money on Twitter. That's a bad look. But Resurgence and the Bills marketing arm? He gets a decent lawyer and that's the easiest settlement in the world.

You are possibly the lowest information poster on this board, and that is saying something. Through hundreds of posts I've seen you litter this board with, I have never seen you have the courage to put your true opinions and beliefs about the Bills on the line. Rather, you choose to belittle other posts and snip at minor inaccuracies that miss the greater picture. I have a background in data science. So please, I ask of you, expand on your "lol" and we can have a true conversation. I want to see what the real "Mr WEO" is all about. Do you even have a connection to the Buffalo area?

He is absolutely elite at this. If you remove the last few games from the sample, the percentage will be even higher, and I think more indicative of his numbers compared to the rest of the league. Super-clutch.

It's weird to me that people are against this. Companies are using his likeness to promote their brand, without his permission. It's an open and shut case IMO. They're using him for their personal gain. There's nothing wrong in wanting to be properly compensated. Is there a tint of jealousy here somewhere? Is it because he's a working/middle class guy like most people here, trying to make some money? He already gave so much in that interview, and has brought so much joy to anybody watching it. What does it say about the city of good neighbors when they want to take, but don't want to see something given back? Are you afraid he's going to make more money than you? Weird, weird, weird.

It's interesting, isn't it. Why are they so attached to their initial opinion? Josh Allen is the domino that exposes NFL advanced stats. I'm not saying that advanced stats are a fraud, far from it. Just that we are in such an early stage of knowledge about advanced statistics, all these guys popping up that think they're smart and trying to make money off the gold rush, have barely scratched the surface of what's possible. That's how I know PFF won't last. Instead of trying to figure out where they went wrong, they're clinging to their original formulas. Big mistake. Case study of what not to do.

I don't think people comprehend the competitive advantage the Patriots receive from the things they've already been caught doing. For example, Deflategate was about reducing their fumbles, not throwing the football. What about having a former military intelligence genius with a photographic memory given carte blanche (Ernie Adams). It's BAD what's been going on. That's just the stuff we know. Belichick doesn't do things for no reason. For example, the pick plays, they must have an exceptional advantage long-term for him to be using them out in the open. My main point is, instead of fans looking for more ways the Patriots are cheating, they should comprehend the magnitude of the competitive advantage from the cheating already discovered. If fans don't realize that, then they won't appreciate anything new that is discovered. In my opinion, and not even speaking as a Bills fan, the entire record of all games the Patriots have played since 2001 should be thrown out. My other theory is that the reason all of their winning began as soon as Brady stepped in for Bledsoe, is that Brady showed himself to be willing to bend the rules to win, thus winning Belichick's confidence.

How much would it cost to resign Phillips and Shaq? $16M per year? $20M+ the first year with guaranteed money? We have the most cap space in the league. Allen is on a rookie contract for a few more years. We draft well. I would call to see what they want and if there is mutual interest from Donald. No need for knee-jerk rejections.

After sleeping on it, this was a game of little advantages. Our D needed to be a little better, our O a little better, the refs a little better, etc. There were many things that led to a loss and changing just one of them might have changed the outcome. This appears to be the final step of overtaking the Patriots. Beating them or at least matching up with them on the little things.

My initial thoughts is that a high-end DE is a luxury this offseason. Needs are WR1, CB2, OT, G OLB, DE in that order. My opinion could change.

I'm actually sometimes amazed with the accuracy Allen shows on some throws. That's why I raise an eyebrow to these guys. If they were to say "yes, sometimes Allen makes amazingly accurate throws, but I feel like it's not consistent enough to get to the next level", then I would be all ears. But to keep saying he is an "inaccurate QB". They're either not watching or ignoring the good stuff (for personal agenda).

Right? My favorite is "sure, he can make extraordinary plays no other QB in the last 25 years could make, but can he make the simple plays? The jury is still out. I'm not sure." As if Allen didn't just fix dozens of little things last offseason. As if he doesn't improve week by week. As if he didn't just play 4 of the toughest defenses in the league 4 games in a row coming off 2 breakout performances. Why not "Not only can he make the most amazing plays ever, all he needs to do is work on those little things that every QB in the league has managed to learn how to do. I'm so excited about his potential!" Like what is the difference? What makes them doubt so hard despite all evidence to the contrary? Remember when everyone cried about his turnovers as if that was some permanent problem. How many times can you possibly be wrong and still stand by your opinions? The human mind is incredible in it's ability to put on blinders.

I hear you, but I believe they might hate them more than fans do. They play them twice a year and lose both times and then watch them raise trophies at the end of the year. They see their cheating up close, needing to always be on guard in the hotel room, during walkthroughs, etc. Even worse, they need to go out there in the cold and get hit and watch the refs side with the Pats game after game, year after year. Watch Brady get what he wants, and then get treated like a hero before, during, and after the game. I'm willing to bet if you had a drink with someone like Jerry Hughes, he'll let you know how much these games mean to them.

I disagree with some of the posters here who believe this was practically a meaningless game. Maybe in terms of standings and probabilities. But in terms of intangibles, something I weigh 100x more than stats (unpopular opinion today but whatever), this was practically the AFC championship game for what it mean to the players, coaches, organization, fans, and city. It's a dragon that must be slayed to begin a difficult healing process. That graphic at the beginning of the game that compared the two team's successes since 2001 is all you need to know. It's very painful. The Golden Era doesn't truly begin until we beat them in an important game. Yesterday was our chance, and we came up short.....again. The moral victories don't have the impact they used to. We needed to beat them yesterday. So unless we play them and beat them in the playoffs this year, we carry this pain onto next year.

It's the stain of the NFL that's been going on since the beginning. I'm glad fans are beginning to wake up, but this stuff gets worse the more important the games become. I agree that this game wasn't 100% decided by refs, but just like Vegas, if you give the house the advantage, they're going to win most games. Magnus Carlson isn't the best chess player in the world because he checkmates everyone in 10 moves, it's because he constantly gains small advantages over the course of the game. A few timely penalties is all that is needed to give a solid team like the Pats an advantage, along with whatever other shady stuff they do. Some obvious (Edelman's pick), some not (spying on play calls, messing with the road team's headsets or tablets, showing the field goal posts on the Jumbotron during a field goal, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.) It's not just rigged, but it's rigged smart. Plausible deniability. That's your concept of the day folks. Google it.

It sounds good in theory, but Jones had this intangible negative effect on the passing game. Somehow, someway, he just seemed to repel the ball. Something would always happen when the ball came his way that would lead to an incompletion. Sometimes his fault, sometimes not, but he was just one of those unlucky people. From some rumors I heard, he was the same way off the field (beyond the famous hotel incident). Getting involved in situations no NFL player should be getting involved in. He was good riddance. We need players that bring fortunate events, not unfortunate events.
