The media ballwashed him from Day One because the Chargers just moved to LA and the NFL wanted a star there. Fans just parrot whatever the media says. Most of them.
-
Tell me if all 3 went the other way, would anybody have protested?
-
Two were caught. One was "dropped".

Now imagine the Chargers interceptions counted. How many NFL games are influenced?

3 picks called back. All on questionable calls. Unreal.

Even Adrian Peterson would like to play for the Bills

Short-sightedness. They think their money is infinite. It's not about friends asking for hand-outs or investments, it's about feeling like you can afford to hand that money out. -

You loved that "stay humble so the media doesn't rip you apart" footballspeak? Wtf I want to talk about history being made. -
The Bucs worry me if the refs do what they did to us last time.

To be fair, the Jags game was an O-line disaster. We had injuries. The Jags had a good D-line. It's not like they ran it up on our defense. Allen's renaissance last year coincided with the O-line healing and gelling. The narrative has since changed to "The Bills and Allen unexplainably blew a game". That kind of loss won't happen this year unless we get major injury problems at the wrong positions.

I'll say this, the Dolphins have some awesome WR talent. If they somehow draft/develop or acquire a very good QB, they will start becoming a threat. Until then, they seem like a 9-7 type of squad.

What's scary is that we won't really really hit the ground running until next year after our offense has had continuity with Dorsey. I have a feeling our offense is still half-Daboll and half-Dorsey.

Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement
ToGoGo replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's all convince ourselves getting less than a 10 on a Wonderlic doesn't mean anything. Lamar will be remembered as a great runner who went to an amazing franchise who built the team around his limited abilities perfectly. He'll also be remembered as a dumbass. -
It's a lot of in-season pressure to go undefeated which can be draining by the playoffs. Plus now it's 17 games to win. Let's focus on the 1 seed and home field advantage.

Tua and his sensitive fan base (JA17 Related)
ToGoGo replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Dolphins fans, not incorrectly, sense the media ball-washing all of a sudden and hate it since it is a division rival. They are used to a baseline where the Bills and Allen don't get full respect, and think that things are out of whack. In truth, we are seeing a necessary correction. The accolades we are seeing now are a long time coming, even if it seems almost scripted. -
Anything less than perfect, the haters will point their finger to. Then God forbid we actually lose. It's something they can point to all year. There are some fans here that get very uncomfortable when the Bills are dominant. They seem to have ulterior motives.

From the Department of Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Takes
ToGoGo replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen is getting extreme, almost suspicious ball-washing lately. Like a script went out around the media that it's time to make Allen a superstar. I think this nonsense is just some of the dopes in the media not yet knowing anything about Allen or the Bills but needing to talk them up. But by the end of the year they'll all be Bills experts. Until the next narrative comes through their email. -
I don't think they're continuing negotiation, at least not genuinely. I think this was the move to save face for the Poyer side since he sat out. Poyer wants to play, but father time is catching up and he's outplaying his contract. But cap issues are real and too many other guys to resign. It's not good business to resign him to a large contract nor pay him for retroactive performance. This was a goodwill gesture from the Bills. Here's a bit more money, go to the media and make it look like you didn't back down, let's win a Super Bowl this year, and you'll get a nice 2 or 3 year deal from the Jaguars or some other bottom feeder next year that you can spend the downside of your career with.

Bingo. He didn't have common sense. The NFL world will see it the next few years with the Giants before he's fired. Allen made him.
-
I think if we lose in the SB but get the #1 seed we'll be fine this year in terms of expectations. A little disappointing but people would realize it was a successful year and a step forward. After that though, every year would be SB or bust.

Week 1: Bills at Rams on TNF in NFL Kickoff Game
ToGoGo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is that not what we've been doing since 2019? If you want an example of team that has done nothing to deserve the hype, point at the Cowboys and Browns. We've done everything to deserve this. We just have one last thing to do. -
They should include another column in that table that shows us which team they have money on!
