Anybody see the holding on Dawkins at the end? That better have been legitimate penalty. That ended our game.

Yeah once you get in your 20s you learn how to stand up for yourself, bluff that you're going to fight, and then both sides walk away with their dignity intact. In your 30s fights aren't really necessary anymore unless it's a serious situation. It's also a class thing. For example, people growing up in certain countries never really stop fighting. Should Kamara be involved in hotel hallway fights? No. Was he instigated? Probably. Should he have walked away or let his entourage/security handle it? Of course. But these are men who bang their heads and bodies at full speed against giant men for a living. Maybe the problem is with us for expecting better behavior out of them?

The delivery of the insults was off. They didn't land for whatever reason. Switching back to nice talk and then angry again was alright in theory, but maybe the problem was they needed funnier actors. I also think that it makes Bills fans look like schmucks to the national public. A funnier skit would have been a fanbase having a lame, boring tailgate and then Bills Mafia shows up and turns it upside down. That would've been a great introduction to Bills Mafia for America and been a lot more memorable and talked about. Instead it was just so weak and lame. Forced laughter. The only humor came when they showed the Bills fans they were yelling out being kids or pregnant women. And even then a snicker.

Nobody here has ever been in a fight? Maybe I'm old-fashioned or I've seen too much, but that video was rated G.

Could somebody please have a chat with Thad Brown?
ToGoGo replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thad is just disconnected. And seems more interested in Thad than becoming a true member of Bills Mafia. -
My friends that root for other teams have said that about Allen. I don't think he does it as much as say, Mahomes. But he does his share. We're going to win on Sunday regardless.

Why not two? I didn't realize it was one or the other.

Ultra elite talent if healthy. Remember Moss going to Pats? This has potential to be iconic.

Who cares. Let them lose.

Why do some Bills fans refuse to have confidence in this team?
ToGoGo replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's just win a Super Bowl so we don't have to deal with all this loser wisdom. "All this disappoint has taught me..." Whatever. -
Why do some Bills fans refuse to have confidence in this team?
ToGoGo replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watch Four Falls again to understand. That 4th loss took the soul of the city with it. Only a win will bring it back. Some fans want the team to fail because they're just haters and enjoy the suffering. Probably in their personal lives as well. I'm generally a very optimistic poster. I think we will win Sunday. But I also know we're going to see Rodgers' A game Sunday night. Whatever that is in 2022. The key is balance. As always. This board will be a very different place after we win the SB this year. And that change will be permanent. -
Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm

I'm not saying he's going to beat us. Just that we shouldn't be foolish to dismiss him based on the weekly media cycle. -

I know he's not a likeable personality but the Bills should count him out at their own peril. He has won the last 2 MVPs. He can turn it on at any time. You realize this is a passing of the torch game? Brady and Rodgers do not want to pass the torch to Allen and Mahomes for as long as possible. Rodgers will wake up for this game much much than others. -

Rodgers is a HOF QB for a reason. He also takes pride in winning when everyone counts him out. He's said it many times. They're going to bring it next Sunday. -
Do people really believe it doesn't bother Allen that he was #13 on the list?

Jerry Jones , Robert Kraft get into it at league meetings

It's still better than the 70's when owners like Caroll Rosenbloom were rumored to be betting large amounts against their own teams. -
Sideline TEMPERATURE Dolphins v Vikings

Bravo. Amazing brother. You're my new favorite poster. The truth is an extremely small few can pull themselves up by their bootstraps the way Allen did. The best metaphor are plants breaking through the cement on sidewalks. Will power is the most powerful substance on the planet. But that doesn't make it OK to expect the same from everyone else. There is truth in "grow a pair and be a man" but there are limits for what you can expect from the majority. As always, BALANCE is a universal law. That's the master key lost in simplistic and dualistic arguments. Some call it "grey area" or "nuance" but it's about feeling around and finding that bullseye of truth. Regarding the Miami game, the will to win exerted in that game by Allen and others like Diggs was superhuman. It was to such a degree it seemed the universe began glitching (drops, throws hitting the dirt, missed snaps, etc.) at the most inopportune times. ALMOST like we weren't meant to win that game. So your reference to extremes is even more extreme than what you said because Allen and the Bills DID pull themselves up by their bootstraps in extreme conditions far beyond what the average NFL player can do, much less an average fan judging people with 1000x the mental fortitude they have. And yet they still fell short... And to add insult to injury, the narrative turned towards Tua being a potentially great QB. It's injustice, but as you said, a further mark on societal conditioning to keep everything shallow, and avoid the essence/truth of the situation until the right authority tells us to focus on it, in whatever way we are told to. In this case, all it would require is a report from a respected medical journal about the dangers of a Miami game towards opponent's players, followed by being picked up by a major media outlet for the naysayers in this thread to change their tune, and those on the fence to become outraged. But that wouldn't really solve the true problem here -
Sideline TEMPERATURE Dolphins v Vikings
ToGoGo replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem is very obvious. It's unsafe and unfair. The two teams were not playing in the same conditions. That was clear to see with how the Bills were dropping like flies. I'm genuinely stunned and taken aback that people are not in full agreement that this is incredibly wrong and unethical. Amazing. -
5-1 is surprisingly impressive, no doubt. But Daboll is doing what he did here, leaning on a generational talent. But there has been no improvement in Daniel Jones so far, so they're already on to Plan B. That's the main reason he was brought in, right? What happened there? It's not like Jones lacks natural talent. I'm assuming Daboll will get a chance to draft his own QB in the next draft (or FA). I think that will be a good barometer to measure Daboll vs Allen. If Daboll's guy becomes a good starter, and even slightly exceeds expectations, I think I would be comfortable saying Daboll played a bigger part in Allen than we thought. Until then, I see Daboll as a guy who uses all the talent he has at his disposal to the max, regardless of long-term consequences. I have a hard time forgiving him for running Allen into the ground the last 2 years. Dorsey is showing how running a QB is done.

NFL Week 6 - Bills victorious!!!! Over Chiefs - post game thread
ToGoGo replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I keep thinking about the improvised throw to Diggs after the center mishandled the spike in the Dolphins game. Diggs had no idea it was coming but when he saw the ball coming he instinctively realized his QB needed him. McKenzie needs to be more in the moment and less about girls and his restaurant and his persona and other off field crap. I'm also hoping it was also related to lingering concussion symptoms. -
There was a movement a few years ago led by analytics people like Barnwell who felt they "proved" momentum doesn't exist in sports. It's sort of the "stop believing your lying eyes" type of analysis which led to everyone making fun of Allen coming into the league. https://grantland.com/features/bill-barnwell-theory-momentum-football/ That's what the previous poster is parroting.

Like everyone else, I was very disappointed with Mckenzie's play, but considering how clutch he has been for us in the past I'm willing to give him another week to prove yesterday was due to lingering concussion symptoms.
