  1. They played man about 25% of the time against the ****Pats and about 74% of the time against the Ravens. I don't think they have the players to play a lot of man against the Bills, particularly if Davis is close to healthy.
  2. Love Micah Hyde and hate to lose him. However, I don't think we are going to see a trade for a replacement, as I believe Jaquan Johnson is going to surprise a number of people. He is is not quite as good as Hyde in coverage (but not that much of a drop off) and I actually think he is a better tackler.
  3. A lot of legendary coaches have started a season 2-0. Just look at the Bills: Greg Williams, Dick Jauron, Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone....
  4. Top 15 Edge Defenders per PFF (FWIW): 2: Von Miller 7: Boogie Basham 12: Greg Rousseau (24: A.J. Epenesa)
  5. Why? Does this team seem arrogant to you? Over confident? Needing a dose of humility? Just what is it that makes you feel a "butt whipping loss might be benifical?"
  6. Honestly. The way some posters are acting it's as if the Bills are fielding a team of players they picked up off the street this past week...
  7. They are not exactly lining up a junior varsity defense against the Dolphins...
  8. Doesn't your Samsung have an Apps feature that allows you to search for and download Apps? Most smart TVs have it. I just purchased a Sony OLED (awsome picture) and was able to download the NFL App. Works great.
  9. Yeah, Eichenberg has been pretty bad - maybe the worst over the first two games - although Hunt, Little, and Williams have all been pretty bad in obvious passing situations. Tua has relied on quick throws in the short to intermediate range. He has also done ok with the blitz, but he has really struggled when dealing with pressure from just four Dlineman.
  10. Armstead has been solid in both pass and run blocking and that would be a big loss. The weak pass blocking link on that line is the center, Williams. If the Bills can get consistent pressure up the middle, it would make it more difficult for Tua to work the middle of the field in the intermediate range where Waddle has done most of his damage.
  11. Thad Brown...always channeling his best Jerry Sullivan
  12. Allen defying gravity...He is just F****** amazing...
  13. No doubt. That 4th quarter was primarily the result of blown coverages by Balt, YAC, and turnover worthy plays by Tua that should have, but didn't, result in turnovers. The stats I posted were more for a break down of throws by distance, YAC, etc. Tua lives off the short to intermediate throw with YAC. He has good anticipation, a quick release, and accuracy in that range. When getting the ball off in under 2.5 seconds, Allen and Tua are both rated near the top of the NFL. Where Tua runs into problems is when he feels pressure or when he has to hold onto the ball for more than 2.5 seconds. When Tua throws over 20 yards, he struggles a lot. He's had 6 completions over 20 yds and 5 of them he had a WR wide open as a result of blown or bad coverage. The other completion was literally an interception that Hill then took away from the defender. To stop Miami's passing offense, the Bills need to limit the middle of the field on Tua's intermediate throws (this is where Waddle lives), limit the YAC, and play disciplined in the secondary.
  14. My hatred of Dolphins in the 70s eclipsed my hatred of the ***Pats under Belichick and Brady (maybe because I was younger then) But, ultimately: **** both of them

  16. Right. This is just as Hyde hits the receiver: He was smart about it, but, IMO, he intentionally hit the receiver with his shoulder. This kind of thing had been going on the entire game. The Titans play a physical style of football and they don't mind crossing the line into dirty play - mostly off the ball. The very play before this one, Hyde got got laid out from behind by a Tenn WR. Completely illegal block and, as Hyde was getting up off the turf, the WR hit him again in the back. Tenn had been engaging in that type of play all game. This wasn't a hard hit by Hyde, but it was a hit - and, again, just my opinion, he was sending a message. This team isn't going to get pushed around by physical teams. Amen
  17. I think it is more likely that @Airseven and @FilthyBeast could never be seen together in the same room...

  19. Best of luck to Cole and I wish him well. He gave everything he had every time he stepped on the field
  20. The evidence was clear for anyone who actually wanted to evaluate it honestly. It didn't matter. The trial became a referendum on racism in the LAPD and the verdict reflected it. It was a classic case of jury nullification.
  21. Right. Tua's strength is a 3 step drop, 7-10 yd throw. He has a quick release and is accurate on the short throws. They rely on speed and quickness for separation and YAC. Apply constant pressure with four and keep the YAC to a minimum. Yesterday, 28 of his 50 throws (58%) were within 5 yards of the LOS and he completed 23 of 28 (82%). Those 23 completions netted a grand total of 25 air yards and 129 YAC, for 154 total yards and 2 TDS. 13 more attempts were between 5 and 12 yds and he completed 7 of 13 (54%) with 1 INT and 1 TD. He threw 4 passes between 15-17 yards and completed 2 of 4 (50%). He threw 5 passes over 20 yds. On four of the passes there wasn't a defender within 5-10 yards of the receiver and resulted in 3 TDs. On the only throw over 20 in which a wide receiver was actually defended, Tua threw an interception. Tua had a good game. However, most of his success was based on the speed and quickness of receivers in the short passing game and the absolutely awful play in the Balt secondary in the 4th quarter. Tua Passing Chart
  22. Lance played hardly at all his last year in college (30 Att), very little last year (71 Att), and now will miss the rest of this year after only 31 Att. Next year he will be returning from a bad injury and having only attempted 132 passes in three years. He may come back and be the franchise QB SF hoped for when they traded 3 1st round picks him; however, it doesn't look real promising at the moment.
