  1. Actually, it was a positive article. Considering the negative themes that run through most of what is written about the Bills, it is nice every once in a while to see something that has a more hopeful, positive feel to it. Glass half full...
  2. You're not by chance writing to us from inside a prison?
  3. Trolls roam this website spewing nonsense far and wide Just instigating Pontificating But not making any points Amusing themselves We beg and we plead Please stop and just go away Our cries all in vain
  4. I think sports journalism in Western New York has to hit rock bottom before it gets better
  5. Just to play along...This year I would choose the Jets only to see the look on Ryan's face at the end of each game as the final seconds on the clock tick off...
  6. I want my football team to be tough and physical; and I'll cheer for good, clean, hard hits as much as any fan. Injuries are part of any contact sport and a risk knowingly taken by anyone who participates - and, unfortunately, they will occur. However, I will never understand anyone who wishes for somebody to be hurt or derives any sort of pleasure from the pain and suffering of another human being. It's only a game. I'd rather my team just be better than the other team.
  7. Got me going. No matter what has transpired in the past, or how bad things have been - true Bills fans are still here and still billieve things will turn around. Hopefully, starting on Sunday.
  8. Nice breakdown of the play. Did you take stills from a video, or did you take the photos?
  9. Not sure what this even means. Too much emphasis and money on quarterbacks? Teams win championships? Your still pissed over the Tennessee game? You forgot to take your meds?
  10. Agreed: 09/12 MIAMI DOLPHINS-W- Show full offensive and defensive packages. Dolphins running game is shut down and Henne struggles, 1-0 09/19 @ Green Bay Packers-L-Capers brings a host of blitz packages and offensive line struggles badly. No pressure on Rodgers and he eats up secondary with his accuracy. Offense and defense struggle, 1-1 09/26 @ New England Patriots-L –Offense plays well, defense struggles with getting pressure on Brady and he (as usual) exploits the 5-10 yard range (with many yards after the catch), 1-2 10/03 NEW YORK JETS-W-Offense struggles somewhat but defense slows jets running game and forces Sanchez into mistakes. Win the turnover battle and the game, 2-2 10/10 JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS-W –Play a sound game both ways. Edwards throws for 225+, 3-2 10/17 BYE 10/24 @ Baltimore Ravens-L-Never play well in Baltimore and that continues. Game to forget, 3-3 10/31 @ Kansas City Chiefs-W-Defense and offense rebound after poor Baltimore game and play well on both sides of the ball – in particular, a big day rushing the football, 4-3 11/07 CHICAGO BEARS (Toronto)-W- Both defense and offense beginning to feel comfortable in the new systems. Solid game, 5-3 11/14 DETROIT LIONS-W-Good play continues, 6-3 11/21 @ Cincinnati Bengals-L-Team plays well but can’t seem to get enough pressure on Palmer and lose a tough game, 6-4 11/28 PITTSBURGH STEELERS-L-Team plays well again but loses a heartbreaker, 6-5 12/05 @ Minnesota Vikings-L-Defense struggles against both the run and the pass, 6-6 12/12 CLEVELAND BROWNS-W-Team ends 3 game losing streak with dominating defensive performance, 7-6 12/19 @ Miami Dolphins-W-Continue winning ways and Edwards has a big day, 8-6 12/26 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS-W-Team smells playoff berth, confidence has grown, and tremendous 12th man presence in the stadium. Finally get past Patriots with an inspired game, 9-6 01/02 @ New York Jets-L-Team goes into Jets new stadium with chance at playoff berth, but lose a tough game, 9-7
  11. The draft isn't an exact science. One can be the greatest talent evaluator in the NFL and still "miss" on a draft pick - because nobody really knows until the players get to camp. Some perform as expected, some surprise, and some disappoint. Calling out the front office as "wasting" a draft pick and insinuating they didn't do their jobs properly (all done in hindsight no less) - on a 7th round pick (or any round for that matter) - is rediculous. By your logic, the skills of the scouting staffs of every NFL team are suspect - because they all "miss" on draft picks. It's the nature of the process.
  12. Your mother and father really should learn how to use the parental controls on your computer to keep you from wandering onto sites meant for adults
  13. How Trent Edwards has compared to some other quarterbacks (Not an all inclusive list) who have played against STARTING defenses this preseason. And Edwards has done it...under a new system...behind an offensive line that, shall we say, has issues..with a receiving corps that has one established veteran...etc....etc...etc... ......................Att/Comp......%.....Yds...Yds/Att.TD/Int..Rating Trent Edwards BUF.....37/24........64.9...304....8.2....2/1....97.1 Drew Brees NO.........32/50........64.0...331....6.6....2/0....96.3 Philip Rivers SD......31/48........64.6...354....7.4....2/1....91.8 Joe Flacco BAL........38/62........61.3...421....6.8....3/1....90.9 Rex Grossman WAS......33/55........60.0...446....8.1....2/1....90.4 Peyton Manning IND....31/51........60.8...396....7.8....3/2....88.4 David Garrard JAC.....35/49........71.4...325....6.6....1/1....87.5 Matt Hasselbeck SEA...24/42........57.1...279....6.6....1/0....85.3 Sam Bradford STL......27/49........55.1...270....5.5....2/0....84.6 Matt Cassel KC........34/50........68.0...235....4.7....2/1....83.3 Chad Henne MIA........26/47........55.3...293....6.2....2/1....79.5 Mark Sanchez NYJ......31/48........64.6...270....5.6....2/2....75.9 Jason Campbell OAK....23/41........56.1...312....7.6....0/1....70.4 Derek Anderson ARI....31/53........58.5...287....5.4....2/2....70.2 Matt Ryan ATL.........24/45........53.3...213....4.7....1/1....64.4 Kevin Kolb PHI........28/53........52.8...324....6.1....0/1....63.7 Matt Moore CAR........28/57........49.1...279....4.9....0/1....56.1 Jimmy Clausen CAR.....21/42........50.0...231....5.5....0/2....46.8 He is no Peyton Manning, but I have reserved my judgement until I can see how he will do under his first truly offensive coach with some proper guidance. All I can say at this point is that he has gotten better each week Hope the trend continues
  14. Trent's last 3 - 4 quarters of play: 18/25, 246 yards,2 TDs Of course he's no Mark Sanchez (sarcasm)
  15. Finally - a coaching staff that understands how to counter defensive line pressure. And CJ Spiller - 52 yards rushing on 12 carries - after the first two lost 16 yards...hmmmm
  16. Considering the Bengals starting defense has given up one touchdown this preseason - I think our boys are doing OK
  17. Bobby's special teams haven't looked any better in Philly this preseason
