So if it were just a tiny number that’d be one thing. And if the ones not doing it were fast to fill out reports on the ones causing issues it’d also go a long way. I get it- most are good. Many are great. Plenty are inconsistent at best and enforcing laws/policies that aren’t perfect. Few are actively monsters. But to pretend the issue is a matter of “you just got the very rare bad experience” ends up sounding condescending

Lamar Jackson pulled a Josh Allen and no one said a word.

we have seen time and time again that the media enjoys a good bills team. -

I tend not to push the chips in til these guys do it with the diminished roster around a franchise qb pay check but he’s checking a lot of boxes most weeks. Still would like to see some more pure qb games against top defenses but he’s earned not to be nit picked these days -

yea, that Lamar has earned more leash isn’t exactly breaking news to most. I’ve been a Lamar skeptic but the dude is still consistently doing it -
do we not have positional and topic sub forums yet? Like he could use the bears wr trade or bears wr contract dispute forum maybe.

The main difference in the pass game Sunday.

having a good screen and play action game mixed in will go far in keeping defenses honest. then roll in he could throw 70 yards down field and pretty much side line to sideline or run up the middle... it’s hard to cover that much grass and not be able to cheat on anything -

you mean the same ones the questioned Lamar coming out too? If Josh puts up an MVP season they will treat him like favre and not nit pick everything. As is, he hasn’t proven them wrong yet, as much as we all think he’s taking the first steps in doing so. -

I mean, it’s a thread about how people are reacting to the plays and you are having a reaction. ironically it’s nearly the only thread where you could kind of accidentally make yourself the topic and it be relevant content to discuss -

I mean, we are discussing why a blooper in a regionally televised week 1 blow out win is getting less attention than a blooper in a nationally televised playoff game that was lost. i wasn’t trying to comment on either player. just that it’s wildly different context and audiences. -

that and one was a nationally televised playoff game in the middle of a melt down. -
The packers really blew it selecting Love
NoSaint replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
certainly would be. but even confident there a qb in the back half of the round is less than 50-50. if I were Green Bay I would’ve doubled down on win now... but if love is the guy for 15 years, they will get plenty of shots to win out of it. -

It’s such a tough topic to transition from. Like what are you supposed to do? Change the topic back to the game? -

tough spot. hes good but is he “the guy” long term? next year they can bail but what’s the play? Non-top-10 pick won’t be an upgrade. Maybe an end stage vet like Rodgers going home?

it’s a three sentence praise of our big ticket free agents. Let’s not freak out about lack of nuance for the many other positions involved in passing. -

How not to protect your blue chip franchise QB

when you come in with a reputation, and play to it, it inevitably takes more than 1 game to get credit for consistent accuracy. we will see how he evolves and how the comments do too. -
I’m not sure the “no call no show” practice, tweet about new beginnings, delete all team related social media posts and wear another teams gear version of diggs is really going to better a bad situation. the trick will be to win a lot. And there’s no reason to think we won’t across his current contract

And I don’t think he’s the Deion sanders type when people said he was a diva. Word out of the Vikings locker room wasn’t that he was pushing others out of the spotlight. He’s gritty. And a hard worker. Definitely not soft. But he also got a lot of comments about being a little unusual and wasn’t shy about opinions. as long as we are winning, and he’s racking up stars (and cash) I don’t suspect we will have much trouble out of him.

As long as he is happy and heavily involved. which he should be here for the foreseeable future

How not to protect your blue chip franchise QB
NoSaint replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this week we could’ve won with that 10 man offense and Gregg Williams trains his defense to injure quarterbacks I think is the concern. if it’s a big game against a tough opponent I think most are fine pulling out all the stops. But you don’t want him exposed on a throwaway play. He can Kyle Orton it against the jets. I mean, I’d hope in another game where we are overwhelming favorites we won’t expose him more. We need him healthy when we play the rams, raiders, titans and chiefs! -

Yea, I wouldn’t be using up too many hits in a game like this. sure, put a few plays on tape to stress defenses but especially against Gregg Williams I’m not calling his number too many times in a game we should win handily without it -
Let him work it out often they start shaky and play great for a second team. If you are going to take the learning curve you should wait to get the reward that goes with it.
