Many of the schools/states/municipalities have current travel/gathering restrictions. Being inside 60 days of the event (kickoff weekend) and looking 90+ days out are big gaps still between the evaluations. id be shocked if the courts tell a school they owe for a game inside 2 months if teams may not even be able to practice. i also will day these schools are using force majeure all over the place to cancel and a public lawsuit to enforce a contract may cost them big money in all the events they are trying to cancel in the next 6 months. Surely UB has a wealth of agreements the are backing out of for conferences, events, etc...

the number 16 contract is tevin Coleman, averaging 4.2m his remaining deal averages about 3m id guess they’d give him a few incentives to make up the gap but would also guess he’s not demanding a trade unless he wants more.

No shame in it but think he will be hard pressed to see a major jump from the 2 year 6m he has left. Maybe gets it’s up to 8-9m? was just saying the gap between his existing pay and deserved pay is probably much smaller than “special teams contract” vs “starting running back” would imply for most fans. He’s already paid like a slightly below average rate starter.

Yup. I’m dealing in some student housing discussions, and certainly understand intent vs what may actually happen. Many schools have similar variations behind the scenes.

unfortunately you have to get pretty high levels of buy in. and then you have to get (part time) refs, coaches, trainers, cameramen etc... on board too. players with ill family members, shaky marriages, kids to be birthed during the season all might be hesitant to sign up for a bubble And unlike the NBA, we are taking like 2,000 players plus the support staff. I’m amazed by the direction this has gone but it’s a much bigger lift than I expected 4 months ago.

ironically, doc, we may finally have the weapons to entice a guy like this... you don’t want to be alone as a threat. First parts a bit of a waffle from simply the play book knowledge. second ignores that rosenhaus is above all consistent in finding the path to the pay day. That’s not behind hooper, that’s being a TE1 for a year successfully. He doesn’t need to rush a deal for less or demanding a crazy unearned deal. He’s in fact often very practical in that regard.

1) So we are thinking only bad units with new coaches or new (low skill) additions to the unit? 2) there is a great chance he wants to showcase that skill before, not after, signing a new deal. I think he’s unlikely to rush a contract.
