  1. Zing! (my other caption would have been "up, up, and away!")
  2. i would never call myself a hater, though i was fully expecting to get freight trained today, and have been considering what to do with the first overall pick in the draft. now i have to shift back to superbowl mode. and...there it is. 17-2 baby!
  3. those darn NFC victories have been crippling us for nearly two decades now! i thought McBeane learned there lesson, but noooooooo!
  4. yes! he was planted by Belicheat to blow up this team before it had a chance to do anything good, and his evil plan went horribly, horribly wrong! Look out Billy boy, we are fixin' to throw you off that damn train!
  5. he might have been coached up to take the shot if a certain look was there. but i agree, he looked to be poised, and he looked to be processing the information very well. he also got away with a couple today. the hurdle could have been bad (but instead was insane) and the strip sack could have gone for six the other way. overall, i loved his game today and was downright giddy at times! agreed. i also loved the stiff arm he put on barr later in the game. drew the horse collar penalty and added to the allen/barr highlight reel!
  6. he certainly did have himself a game out there today. he was all over the field and making an impact in a variety of ways. i loved seeing that, and i felt really good for him. he should be proud, he played a hell of game!
  7. my expectations have changed slightly. i really thought that after the first couple games, we were a lock for the first pick in the draft. now, i am still not expecting 14-2, but i think a few wins are definitely on the table. this year was never really about the record for me, i is all about development. but give 'em hell boys, and win as many as you can!
  8. i think if it had been an all out 40 pt blowout, we would have seen peterman and quite a few other backups out there. but while the game never felt close, points can absolutely come in bunches real quick. also, i think coach wanted to have allen park this one in the garage.
  9. this is either intentional comedy, or some damn fine drunken rambling. either way, i like it!
  10. he definitely seems to put them on his shoulders at times. looks like he is making great strides in making this HIS team. the stiff arm was pretty epic as well. Barr will be getting the business from his team in the film room this week.
  11. loved the old wgr app. my phone is not compatible with the radio.com app. and doing the mobile wgr site through radio.com is buggy as hell and bogs down my phone. freezes often, and is just a general pain in the butt. maybe my phone is ancient. maybe i have a bit too much "get off my lawn" guy in me. but i absolutely hate it, and listen to a lot less wgr because of it.
  12. i would love to see a heavy influx of talent on the offensive side of the ball. a couple o linemen, a blue chip wr that can burn, maybe a big, fast, athletic te. defensively, maybe a linebacker that can cover and a pass rusher. and ideally, if we are drafting at the very top, we can find someone that feels they need to spend big money to move up to grab a guy. if we could parlay our top pick for potentially two or three solid players...i'm all in on that.
  13. i hope that Rod Streater finds some success this year with Cleveland. he seemed like a good dude, and i felt really bad that he got injured last year.
  14. Fits is one of my all time favorite Bills. always will be. i am absolutely ecstatic that he is on a roll right now. i hope that he remains the starter and wins the damn superbowl! i have said it before, and i will say it again and again...i love me some Fitz!
  15. the amount of points we score. i would love to see the philosophy switch towards building the high powered offense and a defense that is good enough. the whole trying to win 17-14 thing is not what i am hoping for since they drafted the kid with the rocket launcher arm.
  16. i am also excited to see this kid's starting debut. i don't expect him to have a great game, but i am hoping to see a few flashes. i am hoping to see some competitive fire. i am hoping to see his team rally around him. i am hoping to see a definitive start to something. and i am also hoping to see the defense get a stop or two. lots of hoping going on, but that is apparently what i do.
  17. i was going to reply something very similar to this, but i think you summed it up damn near perfectly.
  18. i find Cowherd to be an arrogant, condescending, pretentious douche...but this is dead on comedy gold right here.
  19. he'll even tell you as much. he hates boring. and when everyone agrees it is boring. he likes debates, and argumentative conversations. he likes for people to back up their opinions with some kind of facts. but if your argument is just plain silly, or you are getting disrespectful, he will drop the call and he can get a bit condescending. but, i love his sense of humor. he is a bit on the dorky side.
  20. i enjoy listening to Schopp and the Bulldog. I enjoy listening to Howard and Jeremy as well. They don't always stay on the topic of Bills and Sabres, but i think that is what i like about them. i used to love it when the morning show would smite people. and the occasional afternoon drafts are just fantastic. i think i listened to the Halloween Candy Draft three or four times. i don't agree with every point any of these guys make, but i enjoy listening.
  21. i make sure he understands that "defense wins championships" and "run and stop the run" are antiquated concepts and it is now a league that is dominated by explosive offenses that are fueled by the forward pass. then we set out to hire a gm and head coach that believe in the concepts of the modern passing game that is driving this sport, and we make a plan to build an offensive juggernaut. then i try to collect as much cash as i can before they realize i am just a fan and have no idea what i am doing, and hope that my severance package is on par with all the other guys being paid to not be a part of the team anymore.
  22. if they play peterman, the fans will charge the field with torches and pitchforks.
  23. i can't speak for everyone, but i am up to watch some on the job training. i wouldn't expect allen to take this team to the playoffs, but i would expect to see some flashes of what made mcbeane choose this guy over any of the other qb options over the past couple years. also, it would give him a chance to take his lumps, get some of the growing pains out of the way, and possibly earn the trust, respect, and admiration of his teammates, coaches, and fans.
  24. this is exactly right. qb is the most important position possibly in all of professional sports. the object of the game is to outscore your opponent. this is a passing league. every coordinator in the league is trying to help his qb, or stop the opponent's qb. all other positions are complimentary. look at the game mack had. but then across the field was rodgers.
