  1. i really want to like benjamin. but i have never seen a bigger man play smaller than he does. it is really unfortunate that a guy that size is not just overpowering the cb's and safeties in this league.
  2. because when we predicted 0-4, we were resigned to being horrible. first pick in the draft horrible. then last week happened, our qb played like he had an iron will and was defiant. our defense played lights out. and we were given hope. hope is an awful, awful thing.
  3. yeah, there is no going back now. when you made that change, it was most definitely a permanent thing.
  4. absolutely. but the inverse is that if one of their best WR's is out, hopefully the next man up is a bit of a drop off, and will struggle a bit more getting open. which, in turn, causes rodgers to hold the ball a tiny bit longer.
  5. just think of it as a cheesy stunt show with horrible acting and some unintentionally hilarious storylines. think of it more as a steroid fueled action/sitcom.
  6. seems like it should be advantageous for us. certainly more so than if he were playing.
  7. i won't go as far as to say we have our franchise guy for the next 15 years, but it definitely feels different than it has with the last few possibilities. the talent is there, there is no denying. but the impressive thing is that he seems to be getting better and learning from mistakes. and then there are the jaw dropping plays. can't wait 'til he makes a couple of those plays with his arm. although, he could already have a couple with a little help from his receivers.
  8. it seems he was out to prove that he wants to win, and will do whatever he can to help the team. i think his performance went a long way, not just with the fans and media, but with his teammates.
  9. this will be incredibly tough. after all, this is A A Ron Rodgers we are talking about here. and if Matthews gets flagged for another one and throws a stink, they could be looking for a make up flag. and hughes has a bit of a reputation out there as well. i won't pretend to be able to predict it, but i sure as hell can't wait to watch it!
  10. truer words, my friend. but what we saw in this one game was more than just the sun shining on the dog's behind (i hope). i think most of us were all set for the up and down season with the rookie qb to see what we've got. and last week's game showed us that this kid has got a whole lot of "want to". i am still fully expecting a roller coaster ride this season, full of ups and downs. but i think we could be in for one helluva ride!
  11. they took the risk, but i think it was a calculated risk. three year contract, i believe (i have no idea how the money breaks down), knowing that next year they open up a flood gate of cap cash and have a bunch of draft picks. if he works out, he is a high effort guy with enough talent to make some noise opposite jerry hughes. and if he doesn't work out, then you have pretty much only lost out on this year, which is a bit of a "house money" type of year anyway.
  12. nicely done. informative, well written, and very encouraging.
  13. i don't remember ever hearing Ted Darling. growing up, we were big Bills fans but not real big sabres fans, or hockey fans in general. it wasn't until i was a bit older that i started following them, and listening to the radio call.
  14. i voted for our guys, because, well...they are our guys. i like mohommes a lot. but tre white is a great kid and a great corner. and josh allen is providing a whole lotta holy $#!! moments. so i am going to trust the process and go with our guys. you like that! you like that! y'all like that!
  15. absolutely. the guy was damn near unblockable! there is a fire that has been lit under this man's arse, and i hope it continues to burn for some time!
  16. this may be the case, but i still love me some Fitzy! i would love to see him break all kinds of records all the way to the Superbowl! if for nothing else, but for all the talking heads and experts to lose their friggin' minds, eat a bunch of $#!! sammiches, and have to smile through it. odds are against it, but give this man his delusions for the evening.
  17. i love his competitive fire. he seems like a good kid. and it appears he is learning from his mistakes and growing every week (i know it is a small sample size, but darn it, it's exciting!). we know he has the rocket launcher and the athleticism, but it appears he is really working on what were supposed to be the apparent flaws in his game. oh yeah, and this kid's highlight reel is full of positive expletives...i cannot wait for the next game!
  18. fitz is an absolute gambler, because he has a "gunslinger's" mentality in a game manager's body. Allen has all the tools you could ever want, and appears to have the work ethic and desire as well. and he has already displayed some serious leadership skills, both on the field and on the sideline. i am all kinds of excited for this kid!
  19. my man crush on Fitz is well documented here in the hallowed halls of TBD. i have always respected him for giving everything he had and being a good guy, and such an interesting and entertaining guy. the fearless attitude on the field. allen has so much more natural talent than Fitz. but i have always said the Fitz approaches the position the way i want my qb to play it.
  20. i went with underrated. he had the misfortune of following an absolute legend in Van Miller, but i think Murph does a very good job. as Buffalo sports fans, we are extremely spoiled to have been able to hear two of the all time greats in Van and Rick Jeanneret. Murph is very good at what he does, and with more talent, more big moments, and more important games, he will only be shown to be the announcer that he is.
  21. yeah, tyrod definitely had his share of highlights while in buffalo. but this past season, they seemed to be less frequent. but allen seems to be not only dynamic with his arm and legs...this dude's "want to" is off the charts! don't crush me for saying this, but he plays like Fitz but with the physical tools to back it up.
  22. he was tanking so that we could get him. he has secretly been enthralled with the Buffalo Bills for quite some time now. that dive to the pilon was but a warm up for some table shenanigans!
