  1. I am hoping we use the low-round picks to trade up, not to pick a QB project.
  2. Can't wait to see the Pats there in a couple of years.
  3. So now everybody wants the Bills to miss the playoffs so we can watch them bicker at each other in HD? I hope they never qualify for Hard Knocks.
  4. Brian Westbrook gets my vote.
  5. Of Allen and Rosen, I was glad we took Allen. I would have probably felt a little better about Darnold or Mayfield, but I liked Allen a lot, too. I also thought that Lamar Jackson might wind up being the best of the bunch, but it seemed unlikely. I never liked Rosen at all, and was not surprised he was the last one of the bunch taken. I still think it was the right move, even though I am not as convinced as everyone seems to be that JA is destined for greatness - all the signs are there, but we've seen this movie before.
  6. It's a deep draft, so they are probably wise to keep their #9 pick and trade up into the late 1st rd. - early 3rd rd. range. The extra draft picks they have to trade with probably won't get them above 9 anyway. Based on draft pick trade values, they could potentially trade their 2nd and 3rd, plus maybe throw in one of their lower picks to get into the bottom 10 of the 1st round. Whatever the case may be, I hope they trade the extra 4th, 5th, and 7th rounders for something. They need talented guys more than they need warm bodies.
  7. TJ Hockenson, not to be confused with Terje Haakonsen...
  8. I've watched games at bars all over the country, and wherever I've been, there are serious Packers fans out in numbers. And they are always both the friendliest and most fun bunch in the place, win or lose. No offense, but they really are the best.
  9. Best Josh Allen Available
  10. I agree - the FAs are mostly depth guys; what they really need now is some high-end talent.
  11. Also a fun player to watch. Fitz was never a guy to hold onto the ball too long. Not afraid to chuck the rock, for better or worse.
  12. 20-0. The Chiefs, Chargers, and Bills all go undefeated, but the Bills don't get a bye because of strength of schedule. Then they run the table in the playoffs. History is made.
  13. If nothing else, the Bills improved their depth dramatically with these signings. It's a major asset in a league where you know someone's getting hurt every week. Even if there are no blue chip talents in the group, they addressed a core issue just by bringing in 11 players who have all proven they can get the job done in the NFL, and will presumably make the team. A few of them will start, and maybe one or two (can we get three?) turn out to be studs. And yes, one or two will probably suck, too. But this is already so much better than the recent status quo, which was to start a bunch of other teams' cuts, and back them up with rookies and UDFAs. Or vice-versa. I would love to see them get one more player through FA or trade, maybe splurge a bit on someone more gifted. They could still use a little more high-end talent on either side of the ball.
  14. Not embarrassed, but because I live in New England, it can be genuinely uncomfortable. Too many Pats fans are pathetic human beings - mean-spirited, aggressively antagonistic, no class, no respect for others' fandom. Rival teams' fans are simply not welcome. I don't even go to the bar on Sunday if the Pats are playing - I got sick of being harassed, and it's not the good-natured ribbing I always enjoy with other fan bases. Fortunately, the Brady Bunch are regularly featured in the prime time slots, so there are usually a few 'safe Sundays' when I can go watch the Bills get crushed in peace.
  15. It would be nice if he went to the NFC, or retired. The dirtiest player in the game today.
  16. Oooooh, you can't really mean that!! The Giants, man?! Take it back, take it baaaaaack! Kidding aside, as a fan from WNY, I could never feel anything but scorn for NYC-based teams' fans. Especially ones who have a brutal Super Bowl victory to lord over us forever!
  17. If the Bills stink this year (and we all know we're not immune), it won't be because of Beane.
  18. Ah, the Hope Season! It is upon us!
  19. Let's not get too excited yet. None of the FA signings are superstars, and a few of them have significant injury histories. Let's see how they play on game day before we label this team a winner.
  20. He can still play. He won't put up big numbers on the season, but he will be a cult hero by year's end. He's the kind of player/story Bills fans can't get enough of. Like a rich man's Fred Jackson.
  21. The past is looking bright for the Bills.
  22. This is not a discount.
  23. You know your team sucks when the off-season is the best time of year.
