  1. Next man up
  2. Great thread, I appreciate the sentiment. I am not very optimistic about Poona Ford, however. Was supposed to be in the mix for a starting job when signed, and has not seen the field yet.
  3. I was not able to watch the game. They should have won by 30 - not sure what happened there. I thought I did my part.
  4. Ed has been great, but I think he is going to be a little less great without Da'Quan Jones by his side.
  5. The Bengals effed up by not finding a solid backup QB this offseason. They should sit Burrow, but the cupboard is pretty bare. One could argue the Bills are in the same situation.
  6. For the London game, they will be using the metric system. Josh will have a passer rating of 100.
  7. It's a conundrum, for sure - You want to dress Elam for Miami based on his skill set, but do you really want his first regular season action to be against the likes of Tyreek Hill? Not a great way to shake off the rust.
  8. A lot of the lack of YAC yards is because our leading receiver isn't that great at it. Diggs' first instinct is to juke and dink and dunk, instead of just committing to a line and hitting the jets. Trying to fake tacklers out when he could just be running past them.
  9. I hope the Bills front can get after Tua the way they have gotten after everyone else. I think that's their only chance. Secondary just can't keep up with the Cheetah. I have to tip my hat to the Fins. I was a firm non-believer in both Tua and McDaniel, and they are really tearing up the league.
  10. Since Bernard is playing well enough, I say why activate Kirksey? Keep him healthy and fresh on the shelf.
  11. To all the Bills bashers on this board, always finding reasons to cry about how terrible our team is… this is what really bad teams look like. And thankfully, the Bills are not in the same universe as these turkeys.
  12. I think he's good enough to start on a lot of teams, but not this one at the moment. Why not just keep him well-preserved for now - it's very likely he will get the call before long. So it goes in the NFL - sooner or later, someone is going to get hurt. I think they're keeping him behind glass as Tre White's understudy.
  13. Cue the Jim Mora 'Playoffs' gif...
  14. Oliver Rousseau Milano D. Jones Not sure anyone on offense was really game-ball worthy - the skill players all did their part, but nobody stood out - and I didn't watch the O-line closely enough to say. I just thought all the exceptional play today was on the D side.
  15. If it's a loss, you will probably hear some talk of rebuilding. Not saying it's rational, but you can bet good money you'll be hearing it.
  16. Did ya SEE the final score on Monday night?
  17. I fell asleep a few minutes into the third quarter. Everything seemed fine - not the Bills' best game, but it had the look of a business-like road win. That second half must have been a real puker - I'm glad I slept through it!
  18. This is one of the dumbest lists I've ever seen. It barely includes anyone who played before 2010, and it doesn't include Reggie White, which means it's automatically bunk.
  19. Just look at the cuts that were made this year - A lot of now-former Bills lost out to new acquisitions. That means improvements were made. OT depth is shaky, and MLB is not fully solved yet, but said MLB will be working next to Matt Milano, as well as between a very stout D line and a very experienced secondary. Beane is smart in that he makes sure the marquee positions are always taken care of - QB, LT, CB1, Edge. So no glaring holes, but maybe you should jump anyway, if that's going to be your attitude. Yeah, they could go 8-9, but they will be fun to watch either way.
  20. OT depth is a little scary, but otherwise it looks like a pretty solid roster, and they cut some really talented players to get there. Hopefully they can put together a good practice squad, and make a run. Looking forward to the season, GO BILLS!
  21. A team with assets like the Bills have should always be looking into trades.
  22. Well, the young fella made somewhere in the ballpark of $13 million in 6+ years in the NFL. It stinks that he won't be in the mix for the Bills this season, but good for him! I wish I could have retired at 31 with stacks of money.
  23. Barkley has two things going for him - He's cool-headed, and he has great timing on his throws (to make up for his lack of a cannon). I don't think K. Allen has anything going for him, except that he is probably the better runner. Barkley's style is nothing like JA's, but Kyle isn't good enough to be on an NFL field. Basically, the Bills live and die with Josh Allen. But if someone has to come in and hold it together for three games, I'm going with Barkley.
  24. What's with the grey and blue bars behind the lion? They are distracting, and they extend up to where there's a ridge on the helmet, distorting them. What a terrible design!
  25. That's cool! I work in the vegetable business and have met a few folks in my travels to CA who know the Allens, and always speak highly of the family. Personally, I think they may be late to the party with pistachios - everyone's growing them now, there seems to be a glut on the market, and the prices are diving. But I hope it works out for them! And I hope they have reliable access to water. It's scary talking to growers out there. They just keep drilling deeper and deeper.
