  1. My summation/comparison of Josh Allen: Arm of Marino Legs of Elway Toughness of Kelly
  2. Wait till he is a free agent and sign him to a contract worthy of his skills.
  3. I was going to say Leonard Smith - Strong Safety (picked up from Arizona) should be on this list instead of Mario Williams, but Buffalo traded for him, not a free agent. He solidified the Bills defense.
  4. If the Chargers would not have picked him, Dallas would have.
  5. Couple of things on the stand that RB's do not win Super Bowls: If Marshawn Lynch had been given the ball at the goal line, Seattle wins the game, Lynch is voted MVP. Most Super Bowl winning teams have had great complimentary running backs; Marcus Allen, Franco Harris, Emmitt Smith, Roger Craig , Terrell Davis, Larry Csonka, Edgerrin James,
  6. The ball from arm to to arm was 45 yards.
  7. Khalil Mack becomes an UFA next year and we will have the money to pay him.
  8. Not saying your wrong, but I would tend to believe that teams have not been drafting QB's that high in the draft is because the talent level of the QB's (other than 1 or 2 per year) does not warrant it. This year seems to be the exception with at least 6 QB's worthy of 1st round selection and the stars lining up with 4 QB needy teams picking in the top 5 (not counting Cleveland's 2 picks.) There are variables with NYG staying with Eli and TBD free agency that can/will effect everyone's position and willingness to keep/trade their picks.
  9. This is what teams with poor to mediocre quarterbacking say. While there are few instances of mediocre quarterbacks on winning SB teams; Mark Ripen (Washington had a terrific OL) and Trent Dilfer (Ravens had a killer defense) come to mind, it hasn't worked for the Bills.
  10. Supposedly one of the best quarterback draft classes of all time in 1983: Elway 1st overall - went to the Super Bowl 3 times, winning twice at the end of his career behind a great running game and stellar defense. Blackledge 7th - never really made the Chiefs better, considered one of the Chiefs biggest busts Eason 15th - went to one Superbowl with NE, but crapped his pants in front of the 86' Bears defense and was never the same Kelly 14th - well you all know his story, took the Bills to 4 Super Bowls, no wins O'Brien 24th -had a decent career in New York Marino 27th - took the Dolphins to one Super Bowl in his rookie year, lost and never returned despite a HoF career Elway, Marino & Kelly were the only QBs to earn Hall of Fame honor. Regardless of what anyone says about any quarterback of any year, you never know how they will pan out. One of my favorite QBs was Jim Plunkette. Drafted by NE, rookie of the year, but NE never really improved so they traded him to the Raiders and he went on to win 2 Super Bowls (again with Marcus Allen and a terrific defense) Anyway, there are a lot of quality QBs in this years draft. Speculating on how their careers will go is just that pure speculation.
  11. Yeah, but we only have 30mil this year. With ~10mil for rookie contracts, resigning our free agents and/or signing other free agents, not a lot of money to work with UNLESS the captain is willing to back load his contract and accept 5 to 10 mil this year with a whole lot of guaranteed money to offset risk of injury. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
  12. After watching Gilmore play for the Bills for 4 years, I cannot remember any game clinching, big plays from the big ego that defined Gilmore better than his play. Glad he is gone.
  13. "Just give it to them." "Oh wait, it's the Bills, not the Pats. Just take it away!"
  14. That's because there are a different set of rules for when you play NE vs the rest of the league.
  15. Want vicious hits like gronkowski's on White to stop.... suspend him for every game the injured player is out. If this is White's last game this season, so should it be gronkowski's, playoffs included. Not that there was much to begin with, but I have lost ALL respect for this bum. Who the hell does this guy think he is? If belicheat, has any kind of honor and integrity, this animal whould be benched until for the rest of the season, then outright cut.
  16. Tyrod Taylor will no longer be a Bill by the time the draft rolls around.
  17. Because they are my team. I always want my team to do well regardless of the big picture. It is the way I am, always was and always will be. Whenever I played HS sports, competitive games, or coached softball, I always played to the best of my ability and to win, no matter the score or the situation. Never give up, always compete.
  18. I guess the Bills should just pack it in for the year, since you have it all figured out.
  19. the Top 4 picks are all starting, so there is that.
  20. Agree. The 88 season was one of the more enjoyable seasons for the Bills. Low expectations, yet they pulled off gritty wins for a 12-4 record and just one end zone fist fight away from the super bowl. Favorite quote in the D&C, "Smerlis Blocks Out The Past." for his field goal block in the Jets game to clinch a playoff berth.
  21. Seth Maxwell - North Dallas Forty (1979) Seth Maxwell - North Dallas Forty (1979)
  22. There was a reason the Rams moved to St Louis and the Raiders went back to Oakland; poor attendance and little support from the "fans." The NFL as an organization (i.e. short sighted, money hungry owners with deep pockets and big egos and mr placate goodell) think that people will continue watching regardless of whatever they do (similar to Kodak managements attitude towards photos vs pixels) are in for a rude awakening if they do not adjust their attitudes towards the real fans of these teams.
  23. Before I found out there was a Buffalo Bills football team, as a kid, the first NFL game I ever watched was the Ice Bowl with Green Bay beating the Dallas Cowboys. Today the only teams I follow/love are the Bills.. If the Bills were moved, I would follow the Packers.
