  1. Agreed. When Fergy was on, man, was he on. However, he was known as a "head hanger." Kelly, on the other hand, I never saw him hang his head, no matter how horrible a throw he threw. Allen so far keeps his head up and hope this continues.
  2. Cannot answer for this coming offseason, but the history of the Bills is we draft good players and watch them sign with other teams because they were "too expensive." Robert Woods comes immediately to mind as a recent example. We have potential young talent on this team; milano, edmunds, dawkins, lawson, white, yarbourgh, poyer, hyde and who knows how our rookies (7 active, 1 IR, and 4 PS) will pan out. Granted resigning these guys are a few years down the road, but blowing all our cap space in one year does not sound like the way to build a Consistent winner.
  3. 84' and 85' seasons. 85' was a great draft year though.
  4. Because the team gave up on him... and he had was a circus level distraction with all hype and no real answers.
  5. Yep we are carrying dead cap money for both. Should have kept McCarron, Coleman was a non starter from the get go. My brother in law is a Brownie and he thought the Bills got fleeced for the Coleman trade.
  6. If you have disagreements, let's hear them. I take no offense. I have more important things keeping me up at night. ?
  7. Ok I see your points. Maybe I want to believe this regime wants to join the rest of the NFL. Then why did they hire Diabold?
  8. They are partially to blame for the Offense. Not getting a decent backup QB, buying into Peterson are definitely bad decisions by the coach and GM. Not upgrading the WRs and OL is a cap space outcome. I would have kept Robert Woods and EJ Gaines, but... Incognito going nuts and Woods retiring were unexpected. The cap space is a condition of overpaying for players from the previous FO and this FO wanting to clean house of non-productive players and build through the draft. Unfortunately, players like KB have not panned out and building through the draft takes time.
  9. I was listening to the Chiefs - Broncos game on the radio, the announcers were talking about who would have Home Field throughout the playoffs this season, KC or NE. The folks here on OBD are talking about who we draft next season. This is not quite 1/2 way through the season. ?
  10. Exactly. He knows his offense sucks and there is nothing substantial and available for him to do.
  11. When you do not have any alternatives, i.e. viable QB, WRs, OL, an over-invested defense, and talented RBs, this is what you do... Today! Over 50mil in dead cap money, relying on a few players to "step up" (Clay, KB, Shady) results in what you are seeing. The FO did not draft a QB with Allen's talent/skills to play a run heavy offense. Once Allen gets the hang of playing NFL football and they build an offense around him, then it will be a different story.
  12. "Mahomes looks like an MVP because the Chiefs gave him the tools to be as exceptional as he can be. The coaching has been insanely creative. The playcalling has rolled the dice on a number of occasions. The Chiefs are playing as confidently as ever under Andy Reid because they truly believe they can win any game against anyone."
  13. The only one I can think of is Dan Marino in Miami, but that is ancient history.
  14. DA Lights up the field, Shady runs wild, the D makes Luck think about retiring. ... the Bills win, 31 - 13.
  15. Did Joe Montana make Jerry Rice great or did Jerry Rice make Joe Montana great? Maybe they are both great.
  16. Emmanuel Hall, WR, Missouri Height: 6-1. Weight: 196. Projected 40 Time: 4.40. Projected Round (2019): 1-3. 10/6/18: On the year, Hall has 18 receptions for 430 yards and three touchdowns. However, he was shut out against Georgia while dealing with an injury that sapped him of his speed. 8/28/18: According to NFL teams' preseason data provided by team sources, Hall checks in at 6-foot-1, 196 pounds. He is said to run the 40 in 4.40 seconds. His arms measure at 33.5 inches, his hands at 9.5 inches, and his wing span at 80.38 inches. Hall was a big-play threat for Missouri in 2017, as his speed to stretch the field was a real problem for defenses. He averaged 25 yards per reception with 817 yards and eight touchdowns coming on only 33 catches. Sources say Hall has motivation issues and needs to improve his hands due to his problem with dropped passes. That being said, they said he is very fast and there is no doubt he can run. Elgton Jenkins, C, Mississippi State Height: 6-4. Weight: 304. Projected 40 Time: 5.05. Projected Round (2019): 1-3. 10/13/18: Jenkins has been a steady blocker in the middle of the Mississippi State offensive line this season. Overall, he had an impressive game against Auburn as Bulldogs quarterback Nick Fitzgerald had a lot of success running behind Jenkins. At the point of attack, Jenkins is quick to the second level and does a nice job of beating defenders to a spot to wall them off. He is quick, agile, and athletic on the inside with the ability to fire to the second level. Jenkins is very effective at double-team combo blocks with guards and is reliable to get gaps open with his double-team skills. In pass protection, Jenkins has a good anchor with the size to handle bull rushes. He may not grade out as a first-round pick, but he could be a good second-day selection who is a plug-and-play starter in the NFL. 8/28/18: According to NFL teams' preseason data provided by team sources, Jenkins checks in at 6-foot-4, 304 pounds. He is said to run the 40 in a quick 5.05 seconds. His arms measure at 34.25 inches, his hands at 10.13 inches, and his wing span at 83.38 inches. Jenkins is a athletic and quick interior blocker who has been very impressive for the Bulldogs over the past two seasons. Sources who have done some advance work for the 2019 NFL Draft say that Jenkins has impressed them and possesses early-round potential. Jenkins has good size to be a starting center in the NFL, and it will be interesting to see how he handles the change in offense under the new Mississippi State coaching staff. 17. "a fun entertaining high scoring Bills game" Two Big IFs: IF Allen can hit Foster (and/or McCloud) on the long pass, IF Foster (and/or McCloud) can catch them, the offense will start to open up for the young QB.
  18. Should have elaborated, getting McCoy's input/consent might alleviate any "locker room" discord that was/is being discussed. Totally agree the Bills should do what is best for the Bills.
  19. I liked the idea (posted in a similar thread) to have a sit down with McCoy and give him the option. Of course you don not let him go for less than a 2nd round pick in 2019.
