  1. Agree with the majority of points, and kudos to the OP for the topic. 24 hour sports cycle, a flooded market of opinions, quick access to YouTube, cell phones, ridiculous salaries, and the movement away from actual journalism all are culprits of the horrific drop in quality. It is why I am opposed to Thursday Night football. I think it actually waters down the overall product. Like any organization, if you expand too quickly, push an agenda, don't innovate, or lose focus by trying to reach/market to everyone, quality drops. Ask Disney, The Federal Government, the Roman Empire, California, or Hollywood writers for more details on how to take a nose dive. 😉
  2. Kirksey would be good to bring in on short yardage running situations or when they need a little extra power to account for so the DE's can fly to the QB and have Kirksey plug himself up near the line of scrimmage.
  3. We know our Bills need to move past the ugly lost and take the needed steps forward. What's your game day performance wishlist? Bills: GameDay Wishlist Vs Raiders 1. No turnovers by Allen 2. 2 sacks or less given up by Oline 3. Allen 250+ yards & 2+TD passes 4. 100 yards combined rushing for backs not including yards by Allen 5. A rushing TD 6. Kincaid 7+ targets 7. Diggs 8+ targets 8. A 3rd receiving option appears 9. 3+ sacks on Raiders QB 10. No rushing play over 15 yards against defense 11. Defense gets 2 turnovers 12. Bills special teams does not give up a TD 13. A home win by 10+points
  4. No, but he will not be able to reach that ceiling if he continues along making these kind of mistakes and mental errors. His offensive line, his OC, and a lack of film rool study don't help either.
  5. If the Bills play like they did in the 2nd half, then I would be ecstatic I'd be happy if we were 2-6. Josh Allen was the biggest liability on his team, tonight. Time for him to get to work. Bring in Tom Brady to show Allen what work ethic, film study, and commitment can do for ya.
  6. Josh Allen is Brett Favre minus weinergate, a few MVP awards, and one Lombardi. Exciting to watch. Strong arm. Terrible in executing smart situational football plays that lead to devastating turnovers that kills us. Capable of doing things only a handful of QB's can do. Like Favre, he is loved. Unlike Favre, he has not yet worn out his welcome. Patience is wearing thin with our QB version of Jekyll and Hyde.
  7. We are officially the Chargers! Lots of talent, but somewhere we will trip all over ourselves and find ways to lose when it matters most.
  8. Sure... Doesn't matter tonight. Zach Wilson was the better QB tonight. He did not cost his team a loss.
  9. Buy: Bass-O-Matic. I feel he is going to be called upon and gets us 3 field goals, including what ultimately is the game winner. Sell: Bernard is not a starter in my view. Hold: Harty has shown some excitement in preseason. I believe he could be good, but until I see a quick and frequent short passing game from Allen, I would hold on him.
  10. First, you spelled Mormon wrong. Second, he is not of that faith, and like most ignorant comments that are made, such comments are often a lack of research and a stereotype with only a kernel of accuracy. Third, only some splinter groups of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have multiple wives, and this practice is not in-line with the tenets of the main church in Utah. I am not a Mormon, however, I have friends in that faith that are very much opposite of your playful yet inexplicably bigoted comment. Be classy. It's kind, professional, intelligent, and just the right thing to do. Food for thought.
  11. I live in Colorado. Went to the game today. They have talent, but they aren't deep yet. Also, Nebraska is a "old name program only." No relevance in a long time. The hype is so big. Fans are saying Colorado isrunning the table. No, their ceiling this year is qualifying to be bowl eligible. Will they win 6-7 games? They should. Will they win 10? No. It will be close. I could Buffs and Broncos winning 8 games.
  12. Simple screen pass to Cook out of the backfield. Goes for almost 5 yards but the officials mark it as 2nd and 6. When do I claim my prize? 😃
  13. I assume you are referencing the local paper in Buffalo. What was something specific you found interesting that Dorsey does in his preparations? Whether a player, head coach, or coordinator, these guys have an impressive but also insane level work ethic. Let's hope the preparation leads to an even bigger jump in consistency, creativity, and maximizing all the pieces available in this offense.
  14. Bills over Eagles 24-20. SuperBowl MVP: Matt Milano though Allen plays well. MVP Trevor Lawrence (Allen gets 2nd because of media bias) OPOY: Jefferson DPOY: Parsons OROY: B. Robinson DROY: Jack Campbell 2nd Team All Pro's Allen, Diggs, Milano
  15. Apples really don't fall far from trees. Eli Apple, Josh Jacobs, and Geno Smith. Ha...those 3 have rotten taste. Stay classy self-absorbed poisonous apple.
  16. Kincaid has a long career. He plays 10-12 years with his first 7 years being a notch below the all-pro/legitimate pro bowl player. He is a good #2 and then a valuable backup and mentor his last two years. He will have more TD's and yards than any Bills TE in history. He plays his whole career in Buffalo. He earns a ring with Buffalo. Torrence is a starting guard for the first half of his career. He makes a few pro bowls and is considered above average at his position. Once he hits about 30, his weight becomes an issue, so he becomes a backup but a good technician and ends his career playing for another team. He earns a Super Bowl ring with Buffalo Dorian Williams is a key special teams guy who gets occasional spot starts at LB with the Bills. His second contract is with a 3-4 defense where he plays inside but not the playcaller. He earns a ring with Buffalo. Shorter and Broeker bounce around a bit. Broeker becomes an average backup who rejoins Buffalo after 4-5 years on another team and helps Bills win its 2nd Title in the Josh Allen era. Austin makes a career on special teams and has cups off coffee on several NFL rosters.
  17. I hear you that the Cardinals cut him. With that said, the Cardinals suck and every team knows they are intentionally tanking. Colt McCoy maybe plays well enough to help Arizona squeak out 3 wins. That makes him expendable. No Kyler Murray or Colt McCoy or semblance of an offense is what it will take to pile more losses than any other team. Arizona is a hot mess. Cutting McCoy is all about the right to draft Williams out of USC.
  18. McCoy all day before Kyle Allen. No, he is not great, but I believe he could be a veteran presence, and he can give the offense a competitive chance for 1-2 games, if needed. Bring him in and Max Duggan as a developmental prospect for the Practice Squad. While we are at it, I would drop Alec Anderson and Dodson and bring in Alex Leatherwood and Kirksey to replace those two.
  19. Thanks for the insight on coverage being a weakness for the guy, Vigil. Hopefully one of these young 3rd round picks steps up. Just curious if there is anyone (Christian Kirksey, etc) that may be an upgrade or at least raise the floor a bit on that position.
  20. I was looking at roster cuts. Nick Vigil intrigues me. He is about 240 lbs and has played both outside and inside in a 4-3, though mainly off ball. He was in Jets camp and was cut, but he has 7 years in the league with a good amount of starting experience. Anyone know more about him? Could he play MLB and/or be a fit for the Bills?
  21. Very informative. Thanks. I appreciate those who can breakdown offensive and defensive concepts in a simple way.
  22. Lance needs a fresh start. I wish him well. Overdrafted, injuries, and on a team that needs a consistent QB. Too bad he landed with Cowboys, but maybe it gives him a chance to develop.
  23. Steve Tasker can be summed up in two quick sentences. He is an all-time great Bills player, and a fan favorite player. He is an all-time terrible local news coverage guy for the Bills and interviewer.
  24. The penalties and the inability to generate any offense flow or stop on defense is concerning. Yes, this game does not count. Still, the Bills got outplayed, outcoached, and they definitely are not as far along as I would hope a few weeks until the season starts.
