Here are some ideas of what to do in PGH: https://travel.usnews.com/Pittsburgh_PA/Things_To_Do/ https://www.planetware.com/tourist-attractions-/pittsburgh-us-pa-pt.htm personally, I recommend the Science Center, Incline, Strip District and History Center. The Science Center currently has a Mummy exhibit that is getting GREAT reviews (have not gone yet). It also has a decommissioned WWII era submarine that you can tour. The Incline is just fun, great views, and lots of bars/restaurants in Station Square. The Strip District is also a fun place to visit, better on Sat morning because everything is open, but still a good place to hit up on Sunday Morning. Finally, the History Center is really good, and there is a Sports History Center attached to it (although it is a Western PA sports history center). Someone also mentioned casinos. Rivers Casino is also right downtown. Good place if you're into gambling. PM me if you need any other suggestions!

what are your reasons for not going to the game?!?!?!?!?!?!? There are no good reasons. Get here!!!! Also, question: do you drive up and back for Bills games? I had ST's one year and did that. Exhausting, but doable. Steelers fans are spoiled brats. Living here, I can't even listen to anything Steelers on sports radio. It's like the world is ending if they lose one game, and the amount of "Tomlin sucks," is ridiculous.

Look Alike Thread - Pittsburgh Steelers Addition
RyanC883 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Omar Epps Tomlin look alike may be the best in all of Football. I bet if you asked, most Steeler fans or perhaps even Steeler players couldn't pick them out of a lineup! -
Vic Fangio wants to see NFL drop divisions format
RyanC883 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do agree with keeping Divisions, but one problem with ignoring them and going completely on records is what if one team has a garbage division that it dominates, while another division is tough and keeps beating each other. Imagine a situation where one team in the NFC East was actually good this year (yeah, difficult to imagine, but just do it!), that team could be like 15-1. A decent team, but not good team, would be something like 12-4. This could potentially keep out a better Rams team in a harder division out of the Playoffs, when the Rams are the better team. Overall, I like your plan more than the scrap divisions. I have no idea how to solve the issue I mentioned above, or if it would even be an issue most years. -
no, it's really a game the Bills should win. The Steelers D has feasted on weaker offenses over the past few weeks. They do cause havoc, but if we have an offense we need to win. We don't allow points on D, and the Duck is the worse QB we will face all year. We should keep the Steelers under 10. We need to score more than 10, or we have serious issues.

Week 15: Bills at Steelers on SNF
RyanC883 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steelers have Hayden and Fitzpatrick. Plus they do not need to blitz to get pressure. Daboll needs a good game plan. We should win this game. D is equal, and a franchise QB should not lose to an undrafted rookie. If we lose, we have very serious issues on offense. (The Cards moved it on out prior to Murray throwing interceptions) -
We need to win this game. D is equal. Offense we are better. If not, then we have major issues. Really, a franchise QB does not loose to an undrafted rookie.

NFL officials are well paid & not 'amateurs'
RyanC883 replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is why it’s time to weed out the non-performers. Next time the CBA is up let them strike. A certain percentage of them clearly don't care about doing a good job. -
The part-time thing does not bother me as much as the fact they are awful. I'm not sure, but I think college FB is part-time as well. The problem is that there is zero accountability apparently besides not getting the "big games." And who is grading them. I mean, missing 12 men in a huddle should be a fine. plain and simple. I'm in the minority and didn't mind it. It's against the Bills defense, the Ravens know they needed points, and there was a chance at catching the D sleeping. Reminded me of Marino (I think) faking the clocking years ago.

great write-up. The game planning by Daboll was awful, and particularly so in the 1st half. This is an alarming-season long trend. Good adjustments, but lets be ready when the game begins. I'd get Duke back in the game. He makes contested catches. Get Knox receiving gloves, I don't get going bare handed in cold weather. Keep Roberts in the endzone. It's crazy to have him running it out. It's not working.

the Refs in the NFL all over seem to be getting worse by the season. Time for some turnover. -
another LB and a pass-rushing edge is my offseason D wish list.
-
I would. Sacks: PIT: 48, Denver: 31. (PIT leads NFL) INT: PIT 18, Den 9. (PIT 2nd) Fumble recoveries: PIT 15, Den 8. (PIT 2nd). Not only is PIT ranked 1 higher on "overall pass D", which takes into consideration who you are playing, the game time (garbage time factors into that), PIT's D is on the field a ton due to its offense. This is a great take. The game plan was awful. I thought I was watching a HS offense. McD stated the offense did not get into a rythym. Well, gee, no shi*. Your OC was awful. The slow starts by Daboll need to stop. It was a problem against bad teams, and now is a major issue (costing games) against balanced teams like Balt.
-
PIT is much worse on offense. PIT has a much better D. PIT leads the NFL in sacks with 48. Balt is in the middle with 33. And they got to JA easily (good job OL). PIT has more INT's than Balt. 18-11. Not a huge concern as JA throws safe passes, but combine the pass rush with ball-hawking CB Hayden and Safety Fitzpatrick and it is a concern. PIT has more fumble recoveries than Balt 15-9. JA needs to hold onto the ball when he's hit/running.
-
He had a B+ game against Denver, so I'd say good. The offense overall was also better. It's not all Allen, the whole offense from playcalling, to execution, to Allen missing open guys, to guys dropping balls. It was all around bad. They need to correct this. PIT is MUCH better than Denver on defense. They looked unprepared for the multiple blitz looks that Balt brings, and PIT brings them as well. Guys will appear in the backfield from anywhere (safety, DL, LB, etc). Quick hitters and running well will solve this to some extent. Also, JA does not throw INT's. Needs to keep this up w/o being afraid to trust his WR's route running. Lots on the offense plate for PIT.

terrible officiating at the end of the 1st half is my guess. Ravens had 12 men on the field and there was no call. Then there was the blatent PI at the end of the half, but he can't be too upset about that since he did not challenge it. I could see challenging it, getting screwed, and then being upset. Interested to hear if there is anything more. Glad to see him fired up. The officiating in the 1st half was terrible, much better in the 2nd.

My issue with the performance yesterday is that Josh has not had a "good game" against any top D this year. Given, we have not played many good D's. The Steelers game will be a great test. We need to neutralize the Steelers blitzing/pass rush ability. Knox will have to catch the ball close to the line, (get him gloves!); and we can't be throwing high-school 2 yard passes and thinking we will beat top CB's. Need some more quick hitters to Beasley and Singletary and Knox that open up the run game and mitigate blitzes. The Cards moved the ball against the Steelers, before turning the ball over every time they got in the redzone. Lets see if this offense can solve some of its redzone woes. Big game for the offense.
-
will be a huge game for many reasons: (1) the AFC East. And imagine if NE somehow loses before the game. Even bigger. (2) The Bills offense. The Bills offense has sputtered against top defenses this year. (no, Dallas is not a top D). Against both NE and Balt the offense has been terrible. Is it play-calling, Josh, lack of talent on O-line and at WR, all of the above, some combination. In the end, it does not really matter to a fan. Seeing it get fixed matters. This may be the best D the Bills face to date, if not, it's one that is certainly in the same league as Balt and NE. (3) I also want to see how many Bills fans are at this game. Hopefully lots. It's close to Buffalo, and many Bills fans appear to live here. Lets show the NFL we are the best fans.

yep. and ke kept taking it out of the endzone and getting tackled before the 25. just boneheaded.

Knox needs gloves. why not try them. on another note, Knox runs angry and is good after the catch. put him at half back and run screen plays?
