  1. I think the Bills have to focus on O-line if they are going to be serious about winning. Consider this—NE and Brady were brought up earlier in this thread: how many top-flight receivers has NE/Brady had over the years? A few, but it certainly has never been a strength of their team. But what has been the consistent during the Brady years? Answer, a very strong (effective) offensive line. The lines—both sides—are the heart and soul, the core, the foundation, etc., of any good team. The Bills have made some decent picks in the o-line over the past few years (Glenn, Wood, etc.), but it is still an area of need that needs more help and needs to get better. And until it is addressed, this will be an area of inconsistency and frustration at best. Anyhow, if one of the big three tackles is there, draft one. And, if a starting quality lineman is available in the 2nd or 3rd, draft them as well.
  2. two too many Notre dame players for me
  3. I like the kid from Auburn more: Tre Mason . . . 2nd Round? He reminds me a lot of a bigger and faster Fred Jackson
  4. this . . . Yes, draft Matthews if he's there, put him at RT . . . strengthens the entire line, and gives you insurance if Glenn gets hurt, or walks at the end of his contract
  5. A good move for both the Bills and Kaufmann: He has good hands, works hard, and if he develops as a blocker, it could become a great move Also indicates no Ebron at #9 And, I have thought for a couple of years this is what Easley should do, put some more muscle on his big frame and move inside …. he's a monster on Special Teams, surely he can block?
  6. My picks. RD 1 #9 - OT GREG ROBINSON AUBURN (I was surprised he was still there, if it happens, I'd be thrilled) RD 2 #41 - RB TRE MASON AUBURN (I love the way he plays, reminds me of a younger, stronger, Fred Jackson, and time to think of replacing him) RD 3 #73 - DE MARCUS SMITH LOUISVILLE (I've heard good things about him) RD 4 # 109 - WR CODY LATIMER INDIANA (I've seen him listed much higher, if he's here, grab him) RD 5 # 149 - OT AUSTIN WENTWORTH FRESNO STATE (Moving to a guard position, to be a long term fixture there) RD 7 #224 - TE COLT LYERLA OREGON (Low risk, high reward pick)
  7. that size, that speed, I wouldn't risk a FA signing, draft him!
  8. You heard it hear first: No TEs are drafted, and Gragg will become the Bills #1 TE this year,
  9. Fred jackson is everything you would want in a football player, a teammate, the face/voice of your team, and as a team leader. Moreover, sports don't necessarily build character (they can, but it's not an automatic), but what they do is, reveal character: good and bad. And if what I see from Fred Jackson on the field is an indication, I would be willing to bet he is an outstanding husband, father, neighbor, and friend . . . the truly important issues of life. Anyhow, yes, he will start to show his age, but I still believe he is one of the most important players on this team right now. And as long as he can still be productive, there is no need to reduce his role or even consider getting rid of him. He is a true professional, and he is a leader in every sense of the word, and as such, is still a very vital part of the Buffalo Bills.
  10. I do agree, my hunch is, all three of the top three QBs will drop . . . I would even bet that two of them will be available when the Bills pick at 9 . . . not that I want us to pick any of the three . . . but the bad news is, this means some of those top players we thought might be available, will probably not be (I doubt any of the three OTs, or the two WRs will be there at 9).
  11. Yeah, if that weight is fat, but if that weight is muscle, and he's more healthy, then why is that a bad thing?
  12. I've heard the reasons, and none of them sound compelling to me. I hope they move it back to April.
  13. That, my friends is good journalism from our own Chris Brown. I wish he did more things like this on the Bills website.
  14. There are a lot of college ball players with this body type and good athleticism, parade as many of them as you can through TBD, the precedent has been established that they can make that transition well: Gates, Graham, etc.
  15. My Response: I want to believe in Manuel. The jury is still out, some signs of greatness, but so much more to do.
  16. Well, to be honest, there is nothing about this list that excites me. Maybe Ebron proves to be a stud, but I'm not are the Bills need him (compared to other needs).
