  1. The next Russell Wilson => Johnny Manziel Plays just like him, similar in size, and Manziel is statistically more accurate (in college) than Wilson, same level, if not better, of competition
  2. yuuup, trade for an okay number two, and get rid of your number one . . . that makes perfect sense
  3. Two things . . . 1) O-lineman are the safest bet in round one 2) No team has ever regretted building a strong (elite) offense lineman I say draft one of the big-three tackles, and 2 or 3 more solid o-lineman in the rest of the draft
  4. low risk, high reward type of move . . . let's hope it works out
  5. aaaahhh, brings back fond memories of guys like, "He Hate Me"
  6. Wow, I've trudged through almost all of this, and I'm still not sure what to think. My conclusion, the only huge difference maker at 1 (vs. 9), is Clowney. If the Bills can swing a reasonable trade to get him, I would be okay with that. Other than that, I see no need to do it. It appears there will be guys there at 9 whom can make a difference right away (previous Bills draft history aside, they can't really blow it that bad this time, can they?)
  7. For some reason, this is all starting to sound like a John Grisham book to me . . . in the end, the family fights like heck for it, Ralph screws them all, and a long lost, ill-legitimate, missionary child of Ralph will ends up owning the team. And as she won't really want the money, she re-invests it in the team and keeps it western NY. And the novel ends with a little know Bills kicker making a field goal from 47 yards to win the Super Bowl!

  9. I feel the same way. But RIP Mr. Wilson, and "thank you" for your commitment to our community and the contribution to the quality of life (and fun) in WNY
  10. BB, I hope your first two picks are prophetic, that would be a great first two days of the draft: 1. RT Jake Mathews 6'5" 308 Tex A&M 2. WR Allen Robinson 6'3" 220 Penn St.
  11. As this thread shows—with so many well thought through perspectives and angles--there are so many nuances to this process. There are lots go good options, but what is the best option???? Let's hope the Bills figure it out.
  12. Consider this: "Of the thirty-two teams, twenty are set to start former first round picks at left tackle. Seven more were drafted in the second round, and are expected to start at left tackle. These numbers don't even take into account this year's past draft." (6/13/13) I hear you, and I for one would not at all be upset if the Bills drafted one of the top tackles (although Lewan doesn't excite me). I'll say it again, Hairston is the Wildcard. He played very well when he did play, and if the Bills think he can provide stability at the RT position, then draft something else. Or, if he can move to a guard position, and then draft another tackle ??? …. that might be an even better option. But who knows?
  13. What is the over-under? two games before this is a point of controversy in the NY press & the 4 letter network, should Vick be staring over Gino ???? Let the fun begin, I for one, can't wait.
  14. Consider this, good tackles can be found in the 2nd round as well . . . wasn't our current left tackle, whom we all agree, "is pretty good" (good enough that even these top 10 pick tackles would not displace him), was a second round pick? I say, draft the playmaker: Ebron or one of the top WRs, and get your RT in the 2nd or 3rd. This too, is what I'd like to know. If Hairston is available, I think that gives the Bills more room to draft a potential play maker at 9. I really think that Hairston's conditions is the wildcard in all this. If he's healthy and ready to go this season, the Bills drafting options are much better.
  15. Fitz in, Shaub out, it means the Texans are going to draft a QB at one …. which is good news for the Bills, the more QBs that go ahead of us, the better quality available at 9
