The rule is pretty straight forward, not difficult to understand, and has been covered ad nauseam. At this point, anyone asking whether it's possible to own two franchises in the same market or saying that it's not is either a simpleton, trolling, or being sarcastic/busting chops...or, possibly, a combination of the three. GO T-PEGS!! GO BILLS!!! -

That will be addressed in the 2014 & 2015 drafts. -
Metropoulos bought the 'Hostess' snack cake line for $410 million last year. http://business.time.com/2013/03/21/how-do-you-revive-twinkies-a-qa-with-the-new-owners-the-metropoulous-brothers/ FWIW, I don't see how he can get the Bills without major help. His net worth was "only" estimated at around $1.3 billion. He's from Greenwich, Connecticut with no visible ties to WNY that I can find and reportedly would've moved the Jags to LA had he been successful in his bid. I wouldn't trust him with WNYs most prized possession.

jw...are any of your sources at the moment speculating that Pegula will bid? If not, is your gut feeling that he will or won't? Thx. -
Should the Bills Cut Dareus? - Jerry Sullivan Article
ExWNYer replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
233 say keep him, 13 say cut him. 13. Those 13 are probably at the head of the line squawking about "how many holes this team has". So let's create another one by releasing one of the most talented players on the roster. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. He'd be scooped up in a NY minute. He's immature and definitely guilty of poor judgement but he's done nothing egregious to this point. The lack of football knowledge and over-reaction by this baker's dozen is laughable and sad at the same time. Righteous indignation...the mantra of 'Sully's Troll Army". -
JBJ, Tanenbaum and Jacobs family super team?
ExWNYer replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. The concession to Canadians is that the stadium would be closer to them in Niagara Falls and would give them a sense of the team being more theirs than in years past. The idea is to strengthen the Canadian fan base, not to give them the team and ignore the WNY/Rochester fan base. They don't get a concession on the name, too. It stays Buffalo Bills. Period. -
Build your all-time Bills team on $27
ExWNYer replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
(Sad but true). BTW, I had a Reuben Gant "poster" as a kid. It wasn't a real photo but rather one of those art drawings with a small player bio and came in the comic strips of the Sunday Buffalo News. In later years, they actually started using photos. I believe one of the photo posters I had may have been of Keith Moody. You said it, kid. Shows just how little this franchise has valued the TE position over the years. -

Agreed. Jerry Butler should also be an option at WR. And Reuben Gant at TE?? Please. He was one of the biggest busts in Bills history. -
I was going to echo the same exact sentiments. I'd also add Rick Azar (Bills) and Ted Darling (Sabres) to that list. Those of us who grew up listening to these great voices are truly blessed. Congrats to Van Miller. A long overdue and truly deserved honor. Thanks for the memories.

I'm pulling for EJ but the jury is still out on him. And while I like Mayock, he's not infallible. He wasn't exactly sold on Cam Newton when he was being drafted. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/25/mayock-on-cam-newton-i-dont-know-how-great-he-wants-to-be/

Selling of Bills Could Happen Even Sooner
ExWNYer replied to LOVEMESOMEBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you wholeheartedly WRT Kraft, Kelly. I believe he & Little Dummy Snyder were just being 'PC' and saying what people wanted to hear after Ralph's passing. I've always thought Kraft was only slightly better than Jerruh Jones & Snyder on the scumbag scale but still lump all three of them in the "what's in it for me" group of owners rather than the "what's best for the league" group (i.e., Ralph). To me, they represent everything that is wrong with today's NFL and its endless corporate greed. Kraft's statement, while nice on the surface, does not give me any "warm and fuzzy" or added hope that the Bills will remain in WNY. I take him with a large grain of salt. JMO. -

Kraft said the same thing right after Ralph passed (saw it on NFL Network, I believe). Apparently, he's on record at least twice now stating this. Whether it's just lip service and he's being disingenuous is another matter. For Bills fans everywhere, let's hope he's telling the truth. -
Schefter: Eagles trade Bryce Brown to Bills
ExWNYer replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are no scenarios in which Philly will get a 3rd from the Bills in 2015. If the 2015 4th Round pick for Stevie from the 49ers turns into a 3rd, the Bills keep the pick. Here's what can happen: - If neither SJ nor Bryce Brown reach set production levels with their new teams in 2014, Philly gets the 2015 4th Rounder. - If SJ does reach set production levels with SF in '14 & BB doesn't reach his with the Bills in either '14 or '15, the Bills send Philly a 4th in 2016. - If SJ does reach set production levels with SF in '14 & BB also reaches his with the Bills in either '14 or '15, the Bills send Philly a 3rd in 2016. http://www.wgr550.com/pages/9034669.php?pid=400723 In any event, a 4th in either 2015 or 2016 or a 3rd in 2016 is not a high price to pay for a RB with Bryce Brown's talent. He was a beast in the games he filled in for the injured LeSean McCoy. As others have stated, he's young, talented, & will be a valuable insurance policy for Freddie. The Bills have assembled a dynamic RB & WR corps. This was an excellent trade, IMHO. -

He didn't get cut by the Bills for off the field issues and he is playing for Indy, is he not?
