Want: GB & Indy Think: SEA & NE* Either way, I believe the NFC rep beats NE* in the SB.

Reactions you hear at work (for those not in WNY)
ExWNYer replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So they think that the 2nd place Bills have no chance of catching the 3rd place dulfins? Got it. I hope they're right. Who the hell wants to "catch" the team BEHIND them?? -

Pretty much what I've experienced here in Richmond, too. Maybe they're all depressed about the Redskins and Cowboys. My buddy in VA Beach (dullfin fan) texted me the Sunday morning of the Rex signing and said, "Congrats on your new coach. Ugh." He can't stand Rex. His reaction was not that we got a bad coach but that he just can't stand Rex from his time with the Jest. Another friend here (49ers fan) doesn't like Rex either. He texted, "Sexy Rexy. I'm just glad we didn't get a Ryan...Rex, Rob, or Buddy." Hope he's happy with Tomsula. Two guys at work (a Giants fan & a Vikings fan) both asked what I thought (the Giants fan texted, "Sexy Rexy with the Bills!"). I told them that I could live with it as long as he brought in a good OC (which I think they did in Roman) & got the QB situation straightened out. Also, that I didn't really care who they hired as long as he won because I'm sick & tired of losing. Both are very knowledgeable & diehard football fans, not prone trash-talking or trying to get under other fans' skin. They agreed & could empathize with all that's gone on since the end of the season. All in all, I haven't experienced any truly negative or condescending comments. -
You mean something like this?

Fixed. Agreed. I'm neither thrilled nor upset with the Lee hiring. To me, it's just meh.

Search function...there is an ongoing 12 page thread on Marrone already. Your info is mentioned on page 10. This thread is probably going to get merged or locked. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/175422-this-is-too-funny-marrone-trys-for-jax-oc/

It keeps getting better for 'Taint Doug'...cancels his Broncos interview. You just can't make this stuff up. http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/update/24966626/report-doug-marrone-cancels-interview-with-broncos "Marrone wants to see what happens with Kubiak before interviewing for the job, according to Schefter. Kubiak is scheduled to interview Sunday." -

Maybe Rex will hire him. After all, Marrone is a bully. BTW, can we officially change his moniker from 'Saint Doug' to 'Taint Doug'? It works twofold...he is now tainted and, well, he is definitely a big "taint". -
Bring Back the Red Helmets!

You may get your wish on Thursday Nights starting in 2016...or you may get something entirely atrocious. Be careful what you wish for. http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/blog/threads_and_laces/2014/10/report-nfl-considers-alternate-nike-uniform.html http://www.uni-watch.com/2014/10/09/nfl-owners-propose-new-nike-unfiorms-for-thursday-night-games/ -
Bring Back the Red Helmets!
ExWNYer replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ridiculous. Tell that to the Packers, Bears, Cowboys, Raiders, Steelers and any number of teams who have stood pat with classic & timeless unis. The Bills current threads are in that category. They are the best in the league, IMO. The perfect blend of red, white, & blue...the real 'America's Team'. Red is my favorite color and I NEVER want the Bills to go away from the white helmet. I thought I'd hate the blue on blue worn for the GB game but I actually thought it looked sharp. The blue on blue abominations ushered in during the Donahoe era were the worst. Biggest mistake since the Sabres went to the black & red unis with the 'goat head' logo (ugh). When the Bills went to the current unis in 2011, I was overjoyed. As for the Patriots*, their current unis are one of the worst in the league. The flying Elvis on the helmets is dopey looking. Thank you. Seems like every couple months somebody starts opining for the red helmets. No thanks...they served their purpose and they need to stay in the team archives. Why mess with perfection which is what they have now? -

Which is exactly why you don't burn any bridges on the way out...of any job, NFL or otherwise. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it. 'Supine Doug'. -
Championship Sunday Predictions
ExWNYer replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I can't see GB winning at SEA if Rodgers is playing as banged up as he has been so far. That's a tall order even if he was completely healthy. Luck has to play out of his mind for Indy to have any shot, IMO. I don't see that happening either. -
I have to admit, I love that jingle...really catchy. Sounds like a throwback to a bygone era. Their commercials are the worst...can't stand them. I sing this over their jingle to drown it out. "William C's rotten son...ste-e-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeals your phone."

Who will the Bills bring in at QB?
ExWNYer replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get the feeling that a lot of the QBs who people may want won't be available...nothing concrete, just a hunch that not as many will be available as thought. That said, I think the Bills will end up with somebody who will cost them nothing but money. For that reason, I voted Matt Moore but 'd like to see them take a chance on Sam Bradford. JMO Agreed. I don't believe it will happen. Much like the Marrone/Nassib speculation. -

Guess which team is listed #1 to land Peyton Manning ?
ExWNYer replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a hard time believing that Manning would be involved in the search for Denver's next head coach and then leave for another team. http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/update/24960083/elway-peyton-manning-will-be-involved-in-search-for-new-coach -

No. The interview would be for a promotion to DC. PJ is not currently the Bills DC. -

I agree 100%, Dean. He's what the Bills needed at the time though to bring them out of the barren '70s (1 playoff appearance in '74). His defense in 1980 was fantastic & 'The Bermuda Triangle' was fun to watch. Had Fergy not been hobbled by a bum ankle in San Diego, I do think that the Bills would've gone to the Super Bowl that year and Knox may have been able to shed the "not the guy to get you to the next level" tag.
