  1. I'm pulling for EJ but the jury is still out on him. And while I like Mayock, he's not infallible. He wasn't exactly sold on Cam Newton when he was being drafted. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/25/mayock-on-cam-newton-i-dont-know-how-great-he-wants-to-be/
  2. Dear ESPN, Thank you for continually educating us with your brilliance and insight. You are the omniscient king of all things sport. Sincerely, The Unwashed Masses
  3. So two of their four losses wouldn't count? Sincerely, 'The Senator' They still finished 10th in overall defense last year even with that lousy run D. 5th would not be out of the question with even marginal improvement against the run. A lot depends on how well they take to Schwartz' scheme.
  4. I agree with you wholeheartedly WRT Kraft, Kelly. I believe he & Little Dummy Snyder were just being 'PC' and saying what people wanted to hear after Ralph's passing. I've always thought Kraft was only slightly better than Jerruh Jones & Snyder on the scumbag scale but still lump all three of them in the "what's in it for me" group of owners rather than the "what's best for the league" group (i.e., Ralph). To me, they represent everything that is wrong with today's NFL and its endless corporate greed. Kraft's statement, while nice on the surface, does not give me any "warm and fuzzy" or added hope that the Bills will remain in WNY. I take him with a large grain of salt. JMO.
  5. Kraft said the same thing right after Ralph passed (saw it on NFL Network, I believe). Apparently, he's on record at least twice now stating this. Whether it's just lip service and he's being disingenuous is another matter. For Bills fans everywhere, let's hope he's telling the truth.
  6. There are no scenarios in which Philly will get a 3rd from the Bills in 2015. If the 2015 4th Round pick for Stevie from the 49ers turns into a 3rd, the Bills keep the pick. Here's what can happen: - If neither SJ nor Bryce Brown reach set production levels with their new teams in 2014, Philly gets the 2015 4th Rounder. - If SJ does reach set production levels with SF in '14 & BB doesn't reach his with the Bills in either '14 or '15, the Bills send Philly a 4th in 2016. - If SJ does reach set production levels with SF in '14 & BB also reaches his with the Bills in either '14 or '15, the Bills send Philly a 3rd in 2016. http://www.wgr550.com/pages/9034669.php?pid=400723 In any event, a 4th in either 2015 or 2016 or a 3rd in 2016 is not a high price to pay for a RB with Bryce Brown's talent. He was a beast in the games he filled in for the injured LeSean McCoy. As others have stated, he's young, talented, & will be a valuable insurance policy for Freddie. The Bills have assembled a dynamic RB & WR corps. This was an excellent trade, IMHO.
  7. What's last year's record got to do with making the playoffs this year? Sincerely, the 4-12 Atlanta Falcons. He's a T-Rex?
  8. He didn't get cut by the Bills for off the field issues and he is playing for Indy, is he not?
  9. I remember Da'Rick Rogers saying in an interview last year (either on WGR or The John Murphy Show) that he knew he only had one shot. He sounded very sincere and humble at the time...we know how that turned out.
  10. Better than hearing about Johnny D-bag every five minutes...on the freakin' second day of the draft, no less. NFL Network and ESPN are both guilty of perpetuating the Manziel circus.
  11. Would love to take a chance on an undrafted Lyerla. Another player I'd like is DE Jackson Jeffcoat...can't believe he hasn't been taken.
  12. The difference is, SJ was not drafted on Marrone's watch. And nothing that SJ ever did was even remotely close to Henderson's transgressions.
  13. Love this pick at #237. He was projected to go between Rounds 2-4 on talent but his off-field issues pushed him down the board. He was a 5 star recruit coming out of high school. He's a monster and will be an absolute steal if he can keep his head straight and stick. Might end up on the practice squad.
  14. Good luck and have fun playing back home in SF, Stevie. Thanks for your contributions to the Bills and your professed love for Buffalo and its people.
  15. Try this. Nice resource because it shows you who's been taken (top of the page) & who's still available (bottom of the page) by position: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/tracker/by-round#dt-by-round-input:2/dt-tabs:dt-by-position/dt-by-position-input:qb God no, please. No QB in the 3rd...waste of a valuable resource.
  16. I'd love this but: A) I don't think Ealy will be there when the Bills are up (hard to believe he's still on the board). B) Lyerla in the 5th, not 4th.
  17. No to Skov. He projects as an ILB in a 3-4. OLB or DE are what they need, CB, as well.
  18. I've never seen you but my guess is no. BTW, Mayock said that his measurables don't look like anything special but he does everything great on tape. Basically, his numbers (like the ones you mentioned) leave a lot to be desired but he plays at a very high level. He's an enigma.
  19. LOVE this pick! The kid is a beast. I hope those that were disappointed yesterday are feeling better today. I couldn't be happier to this point. I was hoping for either Kouandjio or Moses in the 2nd. To get a quality RT and get an additional 5th is phenomenal.
  20. No, you said they traded away TWO #1s. This year's was SWAPPED, not traded away. That's ONE surrendered. Never mind. You're obviously hopeless, on a crusade, and horrible at math. Carry on, Einstein.
