This is what had me scratching my head when I heard all of these pundits lauding the Jest. How in holy hell are you going to be "good" with a bad o-line AND secondary?? BTW, I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread yet but WFAN just said that Darnold is out with mono and Bell, apparently, has a shoulder injury. You just can't make this stuff up with this dysfunctional organization. ?

4th & 1, how did LeVeon Bell get that?
ExWNYer replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Count me in the 'thought they made the stop camp'. I think the less than optimal camera angle initially fooled those of us who thought he had been stopped. I was high-fiving a buddy who had come over to watch with me, my wife, and my younger son. We all thought the Bills had held until that unsettling 'WTF?!' moment washed over all of us. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end but not before having to endure several more minutes of angst. Such is the life of a Bills fan. -
Spot on. He came out of retirement because the station manager or CEO of Entercom went to his home and begged him to come back because their new afternoon drive show was not doing well. They threw a boatload of money at him and he jumped at it and has been mailing it in ever since. Since his retirement, he's been all about promoting his stupid, overpriced app which is going belly up on October 1st. Who the hell would pay $8.99 per month or $98.99 for a one-year subscription to listen to his insufferable diatribes? Apparently, not many. ? Listening to him for free is one thing but to pay for an arrogant, mouth-breathing, boor who never lets any of his callers finish a sentence is absolutely asinine. I can only take him in small doses before I have to listen to something else. It's amazing to me the number of people in the Big Apple who worship at his bloated altar. "Back afta dis..." https://nypost.com/2019/09/03/mike-francesas-subscription-app-is-dead/ GO BILLS!!!

Yeah, I purposely listened today to hear the reactions of Joe Benigno & Evan Roberts (both Jest fans) and the aforementioned afternoon blowhard who loves the Giants and is a long-time Bill Parcells ballwasher who loves to rag on the Jest and Mets every chance he gets. I was thankful for several laugh worthy moments today. As a Met fan, I listen to WFAN fairly frequently, and the fans in the NYC area who cheer for all of the local teams are some of the most insufferable in the country. Probably second only to Boston sports fans. I hope the Bills have shaken off the rust and lay a beat down on the blue New Jersey team this Sunday.

Blowhard Fatcessa also just said that the Bills have no business being favorites over the Giants because the Giants are a better team or, at worst, just as good as the Bills. Said the Bills won a game they had no business winning and "have a quarterback, in Allen, who had their fans longing for Nathan Peterman." Uhhhh...no. Then he grudgingly said that the Bills do have a good defense but he truly believes that the tire fire Giants are a better team. The Bills could certainly lose that game but the Giants are not a better team by any stretch.

Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
ExWNYer replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, said to some buddies when this all started to unfold that he has to have some mental issue that hasn't yet been diagnosed because this is just not normal behavior, even for a high maintenance diva WR. The whole situation is sad and bizarre. If he does have a condition, I hope it is discovered soon before he does harm to himself or anyone else. -

Had they kept him, I would have been fine with it. As a fellow Ray, I was still fine with him being released. ? No big deal either way. Only Bills fans could have this much agita over the release of the #6 WR.

Why would the Bills be interested in a retired NBA guard?

So the Bills will have one more team Captain...

Colts vs Bills on DTV 212-1 live Thurs?
ExWNYer replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what has been (and is) showing on my guide, as well. I set the DVR a couple of days ago to record channel 212-1 on Thursday. My son noticed it first and told me about it...that was the first time we had noticed the addition of 212-1. We have watched several of our Mets games on MLB alternate 213-1 so we just assumed that 212-1 was added for preseason games. If so, that's great. -

Wow. Just sad. RIP, Don.

I don't feel like it...it was said tongue-in-cheek. Glad you did the research though. Lighten up, Francis. -

Berman, Ley, Mees, Patrick, Olbermann...when it started during the dawn of cable TV, 'Sports Center' was must watch TV for the sports junkie. I remember 'Rodeo from Mesquite, Texas' being on almost non-stop due to the lack of live sporting events. I even loved watching 'The Americas Cup' back in the day. Sadly, ESPN has become unwatchable aside from a few programs like '30 For 30' and live sporting events. I honestly forget it's even on my DirecTV package unless there is a live NFL game, Mets game, or college basketball game airing.Time and technology marches onward and the original, innovative ESPN gets further and further away in the rear view mirror. Love her or hate her, I guess that leaves Linda Cohn as the reigning queen of the old guard. Enjoy your retirement, Mr. Ley.
