Aaron Schatz Football Outsiders-- Still Doubts Josh
ExWNYer replied to JESSEFEFFER's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's interesting to note that those in the national media who think the Bills are going to be bad think that Allen won't be any good (like Schatz) and those who think the Bills are on the rise think that Allen will be a good QB. Regardless of their stance, each side has seemed to draw a line in the sand based on their predetermined convictions and they are not going to budge. They will either crow when they are right or ignore it (and try to avoid eating crow) when they are wrong. Such is life in the 'hot take' world of social media. FWIW, Aaron Schatz is a frequent guest on 'Schopp & the Bulldog' and Mike Schopp worships at the altar of Schatz. -
What are 'titbits'? Was there a 'nip slip' that the media failed to report?

Dear Adam, Don't listen to the naysayers. I think you will do great...and I know GREAT! I got a raw deal, too, but it was New York City's and the greater New Jersey area's loss. If you ever need any advice or another assistant, please don't hesitate to give me a call. I'm available for mentoring, as well. GO JETS! Sincerely, Rich Kotite -
PanchoBilla enters Hospice (Has now passed away)

RIP, Pancho. Thanks for always representing us with class, dignity, and passion. Thoughts and prayers to the family and his myriad of friends. So sad when we lose one of our own and all too soon in the prime of life. You will be missed but never forgotten. Vaya con Dios, amigo. -

Devin Singletary excited to feel wanted by Bills.
ExWNYer replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's another small RB comp...Devin Singletary is almost the exact same height and weight as Barry Sanders. Devin is 5' 7", 203 lbs and Barry was 5' 7 5/8", 203 lbs. Barry's 40 time was obviously much faster and in no way am I saying that Singletary is Barry Sanders but the point is that their physical attributes are the same and their styles are similar. Notes from an actual scouting report Gil Brandt wrote on Barry Sanders for Dallas: "Sanders measured up at 5-foot-7 5/8, 203 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37. ... I wish he was a little taller. ... Has Tony Dorsett-like ability as a runner, unbelievable quickness (quickness grades above 80 percent). ... Great leg strength and vision. ... Can cut, stop and start on a dime. ... Has been very durable. ... Can return kickoffs (two for TDs in 1987). ... Oklahoma State seldom throws ball to running backs but he did catch ball well in practice. ... Great person, everyone from equipment manager to the secretaries brag on him. ... Should be a Pro Bowl player." https://www.profootballhof.com/news/hall-recall-barry-sanders/ -
This is not to say that he IS but...he LOOKS like a hipster douche (and, yes, I know that hipster and douche are redundant). Why on earth are you looking for Baker's nips? ?

You could've gotten a 'Braxton' nameplate in honor of the late Jim 'Bubba' Braxton. That would've been a sweet conversation piece.

No, of course not. Fifth rounders can be viable contributors, even starters. Kyle Williams falls into that category. But more often than not, they are looked at as special teamers with the hope that they can turn into more. Lottery tickets, if you will. My original point was that I would not go any higher than a 5th for Rudolph and would prefer a 6th or 7th. At least with him, you should get 1 or 2 years of good TE play which is more than fair for a 6th or 7th, IMO. He's the devil you know versus the one you don't in a late round draft pick.

I think they're okay. Rumor has it that Ralph's estate threw in this little beauty when they sold the team...
-
That's fine. If he wants to play poker, let him. Can't blame him and his agent for wanting to get the most guaranteed money that they can. It doesn't mean that Beane and the Bills have to blink. They can simply walk away from the table. I don't get the feeling that the front office is chasing Ansah. They're keeping an eye on his situation and if it lines up with their needs at what they feel is a fair price, they'll pull the trigger...but I honestly don't think that Beane will give him more than a one year 'prove it' deal and Ansah won't get stupid money from anyone, despite what he thinks.
-
IMO, he's probably only getting a one year deal at this point anyway. Since he's not likely to be cleared before mid-August, the teams still in on him may prefer to wait until Week 1 to sign him in order to avoid any guaranteed money.

Until he's cut or placed on the practice squad and promptly scooped up by the Pats*...at which time half the heads on this board will explode. ??? -

This kid is from Beane's backyard so, if anyone knows him, you'd think Beane would. -
A funny story that involves Bills fandom
ExWNYer replied to DCbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...and turns out the dog got woke and found out his owner was a Pats* fan, then decided to run away from home before he became a pawn in some bizarre Kraft-led beastiality sex trade ring. The End. ? -
