  1. Mr Williams might get a chance to play his former teammate. Mr. Williams.
  2. I love Q but this would be an unbelievably bad move by the Bills.
  3. At some point before #9, we will all be doing this...guaranteed:
  4. If true, that's huge for the Bills at 9 as is the news from Rap that Gruden is in love with the possibility of Haskins at #4.
  5. I'm not sure, Yolo. I'm sure he would only kick inside if they thought he couldn't play OT at the next level anyway. Regardless, he's a solid pick, IMO. Not 'sexy' but solid.
  6. I completely disagree. Nine is too low for a guard. Sincerely, Quenton Nelson (And, no, I'm not saying he's as good as Nelson)
  7. On the wall of a Canadian DMV...
  8. Does it really matter? At least half of this board of self-loathing 'Bills fans' is constantly screaming at us that this franchise is irrelevant. A commercial break at pick 9 should validate them...
  9. Kudos! You will represent well...but I vehemently disagree with #4. As someone who lived thru '0 for the '70s', they should all be jeered, vociferously denounced, and projectile vomited upon...twice. Imagine all of those lousy bastards with six fingers on their right hand, seek them out, and destroy them! GO BILLS!!!
  10. Not sure how 'everyone' would be disappointed. I, for one, would be fine/happy with it. Like any other pick, some will be happy and some will be disappointed; however, I think the majority of people would be not be disappointed if Jonah Williams is the selection. As an added bonus, he said that he would love to play for the Bills. Honestly, if the Bills stay at 9, I find it hard to believe that they won't get someone who is good to the majority unless Beane completely goes off the rails. Might not be the first or even second guy you wanted but it will be someone you can get behind, not an "I'm so done with this team" guy. Can't wait for tonight! GO BILLS!!!
  11. Give her the best present of all...a night out without you! She gets to go out and have fun while you get to 'sulk' at home. ? Low keying it here. Just watching at home with my younger son. First one without the older son who is finishing up his Freshman year at Virginia Tech (hard to believe it's gone so fast). Hang in there @NewEra. A speedy recovery and all the best to you. GO BILLS!!!
  12. He will be fine. There are no shortage of 'slump busters' to be had in WNY. Oh, wait...wrong kind of slump. Carry on. FWIW, I think he takes a nice step forward this year, building upon his second half of the season from last year. Taking all of the first team reps, same OC, familiarity with the league and rigors of a 16 game schedule, a fierce competitor...no sophomore jinx.
  13. It is kinda cool to have Count Chocula's brother crushing on the Bills..
  14. Probably before dementia set in...
  15. Communicating in French for him would be like taking a franchise QB. He'd be more likely to take up communicating in Pig Latin.
  16. Nice. I set mine to difficult and no trades were allowed so I ended up making 10 picks. Oliver was off the board at 3 so not an option for me. I had options at 9 including TE Hockenson and OT Taylor. I deferred on Hockenson feeling that I could get value later on and ended up with Kahale Warring who is flying under the radar, IMO. It was also tough to pass on Taylor but I really wanted to take care of the edge first which is still a bigger need than OL so Sweat was a no brainer for me. Irv Smith was calling my name in the 2nd but there was just too much value in Dexter Lawrence to not take him. Along with Sweat, that really solidifies the D. The only thing missing is another CB. Elgton Jenkins was another value in the 4th and provides insurance at the pivot and a chance to learn behind Morse. I realize taking Pierschbacher had me grabbing centers with back-to-back picks but the thinking there was that he could kick out to guard. RB options were a little thinner that I had hoped in the 5th but I like Bryce Love and think that he'll make a solid pro.I didn't address CB until the 6th but Jordan Brown has length and a chance to contribute. Tyler Roemer is a project OT (who isn't in the 7th, right?) with a couple of minor issues in his past but has the physical tools, if he can keep his head on straight. I closed out with another WR in Alex Wesley. All in all, I liked what I ended up getting.

  18. I would say it's technically a 'prime time' game because it's the only game on and going to the entire nation; however, I view Thanksgiving games in a similar way that I do the Super Bowl. While diehards like me and the posters on this board will watch regardless, a large portion of the audience will have the game on in the background, not paying strict attention to it due to socializing and mingling with family and friends. It's just part of the tradition and ambiance of the day. Cool but not must watch. With Sunday Night and Monday Night games, the focus is strictly on football.
  19. I certainly wouldn't tell him that...to his face. ?
