10-15 years ago it would have been unthinkable to let a team score a TD intentionally when you knew your defense wasn't up to the challenge of stopping them and you needed to conserve the clock, and then one day Belichick did it because based on the flow of the game to that point it made sense in the moment. It's not Monday morning quarterbacking to say the Bills weren't going to keep the Chiefs out of the endzone, the whole football watching world knew whoever lost the coin toss was most likely going to lose the game. Even if it failed, trying something unexpected to catch your opponent off guard and flip the odds in your favor in a situation where you're basically destined to lose would not have been the wrong thing to do in that moment.

Texans getting closer to hiring Josh McCown as Head Coach
transient replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
If this is the direction that franchise is going to go, they might as well just hire Ryan Leaf. At least he can get the players' golf games in shape for the offseason. -
Titans changing policy to limit opposing fans
transient replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't read through the whole thread. Was the fundamental tenet of the plan limiting opposing fans in the stadium to not have any more games this season? -
If self preservation is an instinct you possess, you'd better do it and do it quick.

Emmanuel Sanders new team motto sounds familiar?
transient replied to Shamrock's topic in The Stadium Wall
What can I say. When I saw that godforsaken Warlock song referenced I thought the goal of the thread was to find awful earworm songs with a similar lyrical theme. -

C'mon... I can't be the only one. -
Post-Beatdown Belichick Locker Room Visit?
transient replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't read through the whole thread to see if anyone felt similarly, but I'm going to say he was sent by his master as an emissary to see if McDermott, Allen or both were interested in a life of football immortality for the low, low price of one. soul. each. -
Another accolade for Josh Allen - Best under pressure
transient replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mine was whether or not EJ actually meant to hit the concession tent in training camp. ...second thought, it may have been whether or not Uncle Rico could actually throw a football over a mountain. ...or whether or not Uncle Rico could be thrown off of a mountain after "the slide". -

And I can't wait to see what Brian Brohm can do. He was highly rated coming out of Louisville, you know. -

Really? These are Boston sports fans... the end of the Patriots*** run was always going to look like this. A significant percentage of their fanbase comprises some of the most obnoxious, least sports savvy, fickle, delusional, front-running fans on the planet. They have a well earned reputation as an all or nothing fan base; their teams are either the best of all time and they can't understand why everyone doesn't root for them, or they sawwwck and the fairweathers fall off the bandwagon in droves.

This argument is nonsense. If you have an issue with the act itself and it bothers you, fine, that's legitimate. Trying to insinuate that it will ruin the perception of the game for 250 million people who don't care enough about football, or sports in general, to have otherwise known about the game is absurd. If it wasn't for the act itself, those that don't care enough to look at a sports website may not have ever even known the game existed.

I'm certainly not morally outraged by it, nor do I think it changes the perception of Bills fans by the outside football watching community. I do, however, think that this gesture would be better served as a Brady taunt than a general Pats*** taunt. I propose that instead of a Bills-Pats*** tradition this be adopted by all non-Bucs NFL fans and that Brady be pelted with them in all visiting stadiums from this day forward until his retirement... and if people chose to throw them at him after he retires, that's cool too (would be EPIC to see someone toss a replica of the original smiling gem at him during his inevitable HOF induction speech).

I get the Fitz love, but if I’m Beane I don’t want the curse of the Fitzpatrick anywhere near my starting QB.

Tua’s entitled to spend his free time as he sees fit. If he’d rather improve his handicap than his skills as a QB, who am I to judge. Wasn’t Billy Joe Hobert a scratch golfer? His career turned out ok. Couldn’t be happier that Flores going scorched earth on his way out the door basically negates any return in a trade and forces the Dolphins to ride it out with him or cut bait.

Bills PR Dept does it again. 🖤 Fight On.

Without looking it up, I'm guessing it should have been the Tampa game... -
I was at #2 on the list. I bought my family tickets for Christmas and refused to let them puss out. We were drinking Jameson and hot cocoa from a Thermos out of Styrofoam cups and it was turning into a slushy within minutes. My right foot went so numb that the feeling didn't come back until I had walked the mile+ to the car, and then it burned so bad I wanted it to go away again. It was several years before the feeling was relatively normal again. I'm still not sure why this is one of the Bills memories I pride myself on... 🤷♀️

Trent Dilfer Brett Favre who most reminds him of himself
transient replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's featured pretty prominently in this video and both he and Josh compare themselves to the other: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/josh-allen-and-buffalo-a-perfect-match -

I can't find it, but I swear there was a quote from Steve Young where he basically said Allen runs like he would have if he was built like Allen is. -
Shaq Lawson possibly returning to Buffalo

The real intrigue is where does Luke Russert's mom fit in with all of this?
