I would contend that this has been, at least in part, by design. Outside of 2018, they've developed Allen with reliable veterans around him. As Allen has grown he's proven he can carry the load by himself if needed. They can afford the growing pains of developing young talent around him now... and they'll need the cap relief of guys on rookie deals once his contract extension kicks in.

I’m not so sure. I can see where there’s a difference of opinion. Unless someone else is superimposed, though, there’s definitely an “-fd” in there at the end. Maybe it’s one of the fans yelling it at him at the end of what he’s saying, but it’s definitely there.
