  1. I made the same comment in the who’s gonna finish second in the AFCE thread Saturday or Sunday… it’s percolating… only a matter of time before he freezer burns the soles of his feet.
  2. In case the optics weren't completely obvious, for his first game back the league has instructed the officials to give him a first down on a play he's clearly 2 yards short on, as well.
  3. If I were the Dolphins FO, I would have included a clause in his contract that he had to wear a Guardian Cap to any event where more than 5 people were expected to attend. While I'm not entirely sure which one is Tua (is he the chubby guy in the middle... only partially kidding), the number of people who could accidently come in contact with his highly susceptible noggin has to be unnerving to Miami's brass.
  4. I could see whomever gets 2nd having a losing record. I'm expecting an implosion year from Miami. Time for Hill to go full Antonio Brown, especially if they start slowly. The Jets mortgaged their future for a shot at a SB with Rodgers, then compounded the mistake by bringing in Green Bay's old scraps, and now they'll pay the price (more accurately, more of the price, the last two seasons were a delicious disaster as well). We'll see re the Patriots. Diggs helped Allen grow initially, and he wasn't the distraction that I was expecting in Hou, but I don't think he elevates the Pats*** WR corps in a way that makes things better for Maye, and I think his frustration with injury and father time will show. Vrabel will instill a toughness in that team over time, but I don't think they will be particularly good this year. I'm expecting at best an 8 win season from the #2.
  5. In the realm of bad football decisions, I would rather see them spend the money overpaying Cook than to see it go to Douglas. He's toast.
  6. 1. They’ve distracted me from my hatred of Pats*** fans, so that’s cool 2. They’ve managed to become more annoying than Pats*** fans with only half the resume, so good on them for overachieving 3. They dilute the air time of their annoying faces with the annoying face of she who shall not be named during broadcasts… it’s annoying, but I’m less annoyed with the fans over it than the league, and it means I have to look at KC fans’ annoying faces for 2-3 minutes less per broadcast which is barely a net positive… I think
  7. I didn’t listen to the presser… was he trying to double check with the press pool that what he was saying was still making sense after his 2 concussion week to end the season? 🤔
  8. I’d settle for special lenses for the officials that bring their collective visual acuity up to the 20/20 standard.
  9. Instead of a culture change, maybe he should think about a name change. It must be hard getting a locker room full of football players to respect you when your name is Woody Johnson.
  10. I believe that he would tell you that CAMERA I came 17 years before his love of voyeurism... now turn around and look in the bushes to see if he's giving you a 👍 to let you know that I'm right.
  11. Your girlfriend from 29 years ago's name was Camera?
  12. Damn, I was checking in to see if I won an award for mocking an idiot and instead I find a thread about mock drafts... I wonder what DC Tom is up to these days.
  13. I heard McVay called Roseman a "pancake eatin' mother******" at the breakfast buffet, and when Roseman looked up and asked who said that, when someone said Sean, McVay pointed to McDermott. 🤷‍♂️
  14. I asked? ...Really?? ...maybe I really SHOULD lay off the bath salts. 🤷‍♂️
  15. Brings back memories… ”Kelly has the tight end all alone at midfield. He’s got nothing but smooth sailing between him and the end zone. He’s at the 50… he’s at the 49… he’s made it all the way from tiny Wabash college to the NFL, he’s livin’ the dream… he’s at the 47…”
  16. You’re all a baunch of knuckleheads.
  17. No shame in that...
  18. Fred didn’t “bounce around”, and he was 26 when he joined the Bills. Because he was D3 he had a longer road, but he was co-MVP in the UIF in 2005 and rushed for 1700+ yds and scored 53 TD’s in 18 games, which are still single season records apparently. He was the leading rusher for the Rhein Fire in his only season with them. Despite the high profile competition, he outlasted and outperformed both Marshawn Lynch and CJ Spiller. Like Kurt Warner, FJax was the exception. Johnson has been IN THE NFL for 5 years. He’s carved out a niche. He’s a valuable player. However, when Cook was injured against the Jets last season the Bills featured Davis, not Johnson. Three NFL coaching staffs so far have come to the same conclusion… he’s not a feature back.
  19. He's been in the league for 5 years with 3 teams. With more touches with the Jets his numbers were less impressive. I think part of his success with the Bills is the element of surprise the way Brady uses him, and I don't think he'd be as effective being used as an every down back or as a 1-2 punch with Davis. I'm of the opinion that Cook's fluid acceleration, elusiveness and explosiveness is what makes that running game go. As much as I'm not in favor of paying RB's big $, I'm wary of what would happen to the Bills' cast of misfits offense without a RB with his abilities in it. I think Johnson and Davis would be at best Singletary and Moss with a better OL, except Singletary and Moss had the benefit of a better WR corps to carry the load.
  20. If only Cook could block like Fred.
  21. Fred was a feature back. Cook is a feature back. I like what Ty brings, but I think his stats represent change of pace numbers that wouldn't translate if he was an every down player.
  22. Nah... that would only be a problem if we had a drone name Kaiir Elam.
