  1. We would go from a team that never blitzes to a team that sends the house on every. single. down. in moronic fashion.
  2. Are we really putting that much stock in a report from a Dolphins site? If you read the tea leaves in the answers to Dolphin-centric questions everything’s coming up Dolphins… big surprise.
  3. Dom, how come you didn’t learn from my mistake? Gorilla glue really is glue like the label says.
  4. Now add to this it looks like he’s going to hire Wrex despite his extensive familiarity with Rob… WTF is this dude smoking?!?!
  5. If you’re getting bland anything, in addition to the spices find a simple book or website on making sauces… especially given your tendency for dining out.
  6. Let’s not get crazy here. 2 a half I could buy.
  7. Fair point. When you put it in that context he does appear to already have gone off the rails a few miles back.
  8. If he brings Thomas to Denver he should see a psychiatrist. I think he's seen enough (or hasn't seen nearly enough) of Thomas the last 3 years to last him the rest of his coaching career (and yes, I recognize he wasn't coaching in NOLA this past season). Talent aside, no one would know better than Payton that Thomas is a head case with a bad foot.
  9. Payton had Rob Ryan as his DC in NOLA and he was a ####### disaster. Now he’s gonna hire Wrex?!?! If he gets the Denver job Payton is a complete masochistic idiot.
  10. A ProBowl TE. By that logic he also has a ProBowl guard in Saffold who is better suited as a matador and Baltimore has a ProBowl backup QB. I’m not hating on Knox, but a ProBowl distinction is worth about as much as the gum I just scraped off the bottom of my shoe.
  11. Since “everything is for sale for the right price” can we put a TBD collective together and buy their DC? It might force them to get a new one…
  12. The bolded may be the dumbest ####ing thing I have ever seen written on this board, which is saying a lot.
  13. Maybe he saw something of himself in him?
  14. While I agree that Davis is a WR3, I'm curious who you have as the WR2 on the Bills currently that Wilson is better than... or is Wilson better because he's the only horse in the race and the Bills don't have a true WR2?
  15. This seems to have touched a nerve, as though you think it was directed at rationale discourse on the Wall. @Nextmanup I will grant you this, the mods are good at taking out the trash. There have been a bevy of doomsday threads, especially in the immediate aftermath of that game, that no longer exist, which made it harder than I thought it would have been to provide "receipts". I'm not going to search every individual thread to try and find the comments, but they're scattered throughout the board and there have been more of them than normal. I've seen predictions of last in the division, missing the playoffs, etc., which I equate with "done". I've also appreciated posts wtih the "I'm so done with this team" vibe in the wake of a 14 win season. Was it an overstatement that it's every other post: yes, of course it was. It's thankfully dying down a bit, but there were a lot more of "the sky is falling" posts than normal over the last few weeks. @Alphadawg7 I agree with your concerns. I've stated numerous times that I'm in favor of moving on from Frazier, and that the OL and WR groups are in dire need of an upgrade. I also don't disagree that there are ascending teams that the Bills will need to contend with and that the road is getting harder for them. I don't consider this view to suggest you think the Bills are "done", though, either. I think the FO is fairly good at self evaluation when it comes to their offseason post-mortems and attempting to address their weaknesses, though they've missed in their execution at times. I think they overvalued the skill they had in the WR room last offseason, unfortunately, and it cost them. I do think, with a good offseason and some better injury luck next season, that they will be right back in the conversation next year, even with limited resources to be spent in FA.
  16. Yes, but in much lesser roles with veterans above them on the depth chart. This, to me, suggests they may be planning on going WR early in the draft and weren’t thrilled with the development of Shakir and Davis and possibly McKenzie this season so they let him walk.
  17. Can’t be. They’re done. …I know this because I read it on TBD In every other post. 🤷‍♂️
  18. New to football OP? It’s ok. There are no stupid questions. 🙄They do it by winning all of their playoff games, then winning the final championship game which is the one commonly referred to as “the Super Bowl.” About that ledge… here, lemme help you out… just.. a little… push! All better.
  19. I used to live in Miami and work in law enforcement during the day. I don't sleep much, I had kind of a messed up childhood, so I kept busy with other things by night. From the outside, I had your typical life... married, had a son, was relatively close, but awkward, with my step-sister. Appearances can be deceiving, though. Nothing's forever. Things got weird when, after my wife died and I sent my son to live with a stranger, my step-sister developed this bizarre crush on me... I felt like life jumped the shark for a bit, so I spent some time wandering after inexplicably surviving an ill advised boat trip. Things got back on track... kinda... about 10 years later when I reunited with my son. We have a complicated relationship, though. I won't bore you with the details. Anyway, being a Bills fan helps me keep my dark passenger in check... or does it... maybe we'll find out some day if my "code" results in you finding yourself an invited guest at my table. Oh, and GO BILLS!!
  20. Not quite the context I was going for with "the members of TBD"... but maybe not that far off, sometimes.
  21. I was hoping for Wilkes, as well. It seemed to me a way to bring in a more aggressive philosophy without changing scheme, thereby avoiding player turnover. Hopefully this hiring is a message to Frazier that the heat has been turned up and if he doesn't adjust the way he calls the defense his time is up. I'm sick of hearing commentators say "Leslie Frazier blitzes less than anyone else in the league" while they're trying to fill the dead air as opposing QBs are chillin' in the pocket.
  22. I think the miscalculation was in overvaluing the existing skill players on offense and not sufficiently replacing the roles/production of peak Brown/Sanders and Beasley. Davis didn't perform when put in the position of a true #2, Crowder got hurt as his history suggested he would, McKittrick was the McKittrick we thought he was and not the McKittrick of his one "breakout game" against the Patriots***. Add to that, despite FA signings that were supposed to shore up the OL in addition to Kromer's masterful coaching, the line was downright offensive. We saw what Von did earlier in the season. He was brought in purely to close out the 3-4 games that he didn't even get to play in. My hope for 2023 is his recovery from the ACL puts him on the field around the middle of November, and he rounds into form in December... it's as close as we'll get to bubble wrapping him for the playoffs... and that the Bills have much better injury luck next year. Re re-signing Poyer; I love the player. He has been a warrior and given this team his all every game he has played in. But, as bittersweet as it is, I think his best days are behind him. Between him and Hyde, I think Hyde is the more cerebral player and the one that is harder to replace, which is why he was re-signed and Poyer wasnt'. If you swap Poyer's physicality for Hyde's leadership and communication this past season, I don't think our secondary gets roasted the way it did down the stretch. I think they re-sign Edmunds. Rightly or wrongly, I think the Beane and McDermott value him much more than the members of TBD. I agree about the ill spent 1st and 2nd round picks on the DL. They would have been better of spending them on OL and WR and bringing in FAs to fill out the DL given their apparent lack of scouting prowess at this position group... though I still hold out hope that Groot develops when he's not playing on a DL where the majority of the remaining players are either gutting it out through what could have been season ending injury or complete stiffs.
