  1. Uhhh... while I can appreciate the sentiment, MVS and hands of glue seem to be unlikely bedfellows.
  2. My answer... not likely to be popular, nor is it technically in the spirit of the question as pertains to a breakout year in 2024... Keon Coleman. I think Beane is going to get dragged all season for what a bad pick this was due to a slow start only to have him bust out late in the season or next season (likely in more favorable circumstances) and prove the accumulation of doubters wrong.
  3. So your wife is... 3?
  4. The last time the Bills didn't have a true WR1 was 2019. Beasley and Brown both saw just over 100 targets each. They were essentially it for receiving weapons, with both generating about 70 catches a piece. After that it was Knox, Singletary, McKenzie, Yeldon and Gore with minimal production. I could see a scenario where Kincaid, Samuel, and Shakir each get 100+ targets, with Cook and Davis potentially splitting 70-80+ targets and Knox, Holliins +/- Claypool getting in the 20-40 target each range. I think it's difficult to project what Coleman ends up with. Regardless of their receiving corps situation, I don't see them relying on him unless he demonstrates an ability to carry the load as a rookie like Kincaid did, which could be anywhere from 50-100 targets (Kincaid had 91 as a rookie). Re the original post about Shakir, I don't see them using him like a WR1... and I don't want to see them try to use him like a WR1 because I think that would be a gross overestimation of his skill, but that is not to say I think an offense that spreads the wealth among these players couldn't work. He could lead the team in targets, catches and yards, but if he does, I don't think it will be as lopsided as Diggs 160 targets with the next closest just breaking 100. I don't really support either of the OP's suppositions, that we're either fine with Shakir and everything is all set, or we're screwed. I'm of the opinion that we can compete with the roster we have, but that we're not going to get the offensive output that we're accustomed to seeing since 2020. I think it's a compromise during this cap reset and that with the addition of a true WR1 next offseason we'll be back to our old ways. Hopefully having a bunch of quality receiving options despite not having a true WR1 will allow Brady to take advantage of the bottom of the opponent's secondary depth without having to rely on replacement level players like Sherfield and Harty to try to do it.
  5. Dyslexia has nothing to do with arm strength. Peterman isn’t stupid, he’s trying to get by in the pros with a peewee arm.
  6. That makes more sense. I was questioning the accuracy of that data when you have Nick Mullens and Trevor Siemian in the top 15 and aside from Brady, Rodgers, and Big Ben there's no hint of a Manning or other 2000's or 2010's Pro Bowl level QB anywhere to be seen.
  7. Maybe Gray should take the interview, get offered the job, give them the impression a deal is in place, and then shop that deal to Carolina for a better offer. They can feel jaded by their naivety all over again.
  8. Gronk’s comment about the similarities between Brady and the avocados he eats was also priceless…
  9. Only if I happend to have this on me...
  10. Combined with what we have and with Allen throwing to them, this would be fun to watch.
  11. I think the Chiefs the last 2 years have been a bit of an anomaly in that Kelce and Mahomes have been able to overcome an otherwise lackluster WR room. Without their defense last season they would have been a sub 0.500 team. Personally, I don't think the Bills came into the offseason intending to trade Diggs, I think something forced their hands insofar as if they didn't do it NOW he would have lost all value to them on the field in 2024 and as a trade chip next offseason. I think this WR room with Diggs would have been fine, even if Brady only used Diggs to draw coverage away from other receiving options, and I think the plan would then have been to replace him next offseason. Unfortunately, the Bills are going into 2024 with a Diggs size hole in their roster. I'm personally not down on them for not drafting more WRs in this draft. If they didn't have a 1st or 2nd round grade on someone and/or think they could contribute THIS season, with so many holes elsewhere on the roster, drafting someone they didn't believe in for the sake of shutting the fans up would have made things worse. I do think the WR corps is more well-rounded at the bottom of the group than in past seasons but given the lack of talent at the top of the roster I think this is destined to be a down year on offense. I think those assuming Shakir will make this meteoric rise to replace Diggs are going to be met with the same disappointment we had when Davis continued to prove he was not a legitimate WR2 when/if he's asked to draw the coverage Diggs used to. Like it or not, I think they're going to have to be more deliberate on offense and bleed the clock to some degree. I think Brady is going to have to be creative and use the talent at hand to the best of their ability. And I think it's going to be ugly for the first half of the season at least. This is obviously not going to be the most complete or deepest team of the Allen era. Hopefully they can put together a gritty, successful season despite that. I'm expecting a lot of white knuckle football this season. What do I know, though. Maybe their intent is instead of beating coverage in 2024 they'll just run them over at the line and WRs will be running free all over the field...
  12. That's all well and good, but TBD seems to have focused too heavily on posters with low 40 stats, which is a measure of how many cogent thoughts can be articulated before spilling their 40 in their lap.
  13. You know the difference between that WR corp and Shaquem Griffin? At least Griffin had one good hand.
  14. You never know, she could have been a princess that turned into a troll after being kissed by a frog.
  15. It would be interesting to know, if the Chiefs had lost the 2021 divisional round like they should have, would Mahomes have been as magnanimous in defeat as Allen was if Josh had tracked him down immediately afterwards to congratulate him on an awesome performance as Mahomes did... I thought it was a nice gesture of recognition by Mahomes, but I don't know that he would have received it similarly if roles were reversed.
  16. This stupid "experiment" is likely a prelude to that. Gotta figure out the travel and impact to teams with actual fans before it becomes a permanent fixture.
  17. 2s are valuable depth. If I was the GM of the team that got hosed with that slot this year, I'm putting an ad in the local paper the day the schedule comes out advertising: The Buffalo Bills are offering a once in a lifetime opportunity for a select few fans to live out their lifelong dream of playing for their favorite team. Don't miss your chance to be one of 22 lucky people who will be selected at random, flown across the pond, and get the chance to suit up on gameday for one special regular season game this year. Imagine carving your name in the annals of NFL lore with those of your childhood heros. Why wear a foam helmet on gameday when you can wear a real one? This is sure to be a day the NFL owners and commissioner will never forget. Airfare, meals and lodging included. Must be 21 or older. Certain restrictions may apply. To participate a waiver of liability must be signed and will be strictly enforced.
  18. The problem for the Dolphins is their home field advantage really only lasts through mid-October while it's scorching hot in Miami. Once the weather cools off to the point it's no longer baking the visitor's sideline it's the equivalent of a lovely day for football with a minimum of crowd noise for their opponent.
  19. I think the Claypool signing means we signed a WR with talent who has one last shot to rehab a career on a 1 yr deal with one of the best QBs in the league throwing him the ball. If he strays you cut him. I'm sure there will be no mistaking that he's on a short leash, and regardless of his production, if he makes it the whole year I don't expect he'd be resigned. Low risk, high reward signing.
  20. I think this is pretty optimistic. Only way I see him getting 1K at this point is cumulative and playing another 3 years.
  21. Anybody else's mind jump to this every time they hear or see his name...
  22. Honestly, that's probably the only solution that would overcome the competitive advantage that the Jags would otherwise have. Either that or have the Jags play successive West Coast games on their return to nullify the gift they were given by the league in the second of the back-to-back London games. This doesn't fix the stupidity of the problem created in the first place, but it would at least partly assuage my spiteful nature to see the Jags get screwed too. 🤷‍♂️
