  1. I think some of the "can't lose 3" stuff is because the Pats shouldn't be caught napping this year. The first game last year Marcia looked like she had never even played the game before. Then in the second game the pats* rattled off something stupid like 48 straight points. At 1-2 and having lost the last 2, most people suspect the pats* won't be sleeping Sunday. I give the Bills an outside chance if everything goes perfectly, no mistakes by the Bills (particularly Fitz) and several big ones by the pats*, and the Bills D knocking Marcia down on every play. But otherwise the pats* are still more talented than the Bills in my opinion, and there should be no gift game from Marcia this time around.
  2. Apparently he is the only one at ESPN that thinks that way. http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks
  3. OK .. so who doesn't like Nate now?
  4. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/football/USA/NFL/Buffalo.html has the odds at 76.2% if the Bills hit 9-7. But it drops off a cliff at 18.8% if the Bills end up at 8-8.
  5. I rarely hear any sports team talk at work, water cooler or otherwise, and that includes this week. I think you may grossly overestimate the impact of NFL teams on the general population. You cannot judge the general population by what you see here
  6. Pocket change, Kraft will probably pay it.
  7. This stretch (and I also include the next one against the rotten fish) defines this season. So far they have lost badly to the Jets then beaten two mediocre at best teams. It all starts now. It's time to deliver the baby.
  8. Part of me hopes Gailey knows full well that Spiller and maybe even FredEx won't play this weekend, and he is giving BellyCheat a taste of his own "questionable" medicine.
  9. I never called him a bust, just not a wise pick taking any RB then. I've been fearing up until 3 weeks ago that he would also be a bust, but I'm happy that appears not to be the case.
  10. T. Jackson hasn't even dressed yet which tells you how far along he is.
  11. I think it is a very tall order indeed to beat the Pats Sunday given Spiller and FredEx both will either be out, or not anywhere near 100%. But not impossible. To me it comes down to one thing. The ability of our D line to quickly get to Marcia without any blitzing. If they can get pressure on every play with just the down 4 the Bills have a chance. If Marcia can setup comfortably or get off the quick 3 step passes without someone in the passing lane the Bills lose.
  12. Choice and White both (particularly Choice) know the playbook and have worked with the offense. And Choice in particular is a very capable backup RB in my opinion. Bringing in someone cold for 1 or 2 games seems a very bad move to me.
  13. I'd bet that he would not. Not because he is a "nice guy", because he clearly is not. But because as I stated before, it slams the door on the opponent and ends the game with the certain W. And he is more than smart enough to realize that, as is Gailey. But then again, you could say taking the knee IS going for the jugular. It takes all hope from the opponent.
  14. I don't know about that. But I do know they would be trying like hell to strip the ball when Spiller was carrying it in his left hand. If the shoulder is painful and weak it's the perfect time for a strip. I'd rather see him sit than play with a weakened shoulder, fumble, and potentially injure the shoulder worse. I'd rather see Gailey man up in this case instead of Spiller.
  15. That is it precisely. The browns could not stop the clock. If you score you give them the possibility to score/onside-kick quickly multiple times and win the game. Taking a knee ends the game for sure. He was not being a nice guy, he was being a smart coach. And before you say I'm being unrealistic, look at a couple of the wild finishes yesterday.
  16. "Boomer" spends too much time at his other job sucking the asses of the Jets players and staff.
  17. That was nothing. Tried to get the ref to stop so bellycheat could B word at him. Move on, nothing to see here.
  18. When I saw it at full speed I thought it was a pass due to the ball moving forward, albeit just a little. When I saw the replay I saw that the ball had slipped out of his hand on the way back but was still in contact with it on the way forward. This explained the very slight forward motion of the ball for how hard his arm was moving forward. I think they got that one right. But good lord how they missed so many calls in so many games. Bottom line is the Bills managed to eek out a win. And the W is all that matters. The next 7 game stretch decides the season. Time to prepare for Marcia.
  19. It costs like $5 a month I think. I got it for the NHL network and (I think) MSG for Sabres.
  20. Not if he has watched any film from the last half of last season or the Jest game 2 weeks ago..
  21. Given that information what you fear is exactly what any OC would be inclined to do. Plus you know that's what Fitz wants to do. I think part of his sour puss on the sidelines all game against KC was more than his early blown passes, it was being ticked at the run-first game plan. We will see what we will see. But don't be surprised if the Bills come out throwing. The question will be, if it isn't working will Gailey be willing/able to change gears during the game.
  22. Giving Thigpen a grade at all makes no sense. Fitz's grade is so low because he sucked balls against the Jets, and he missed some ridiculously easy wide open passes, and the bulk of the work all game was done on the ground against KC.
  23. Agreed. And also the next week against the pats*, a team they shouldn't beat.
  24. After this game they also have a tough stretch with 4 out of the 6 away at SF, AZ, HOU, and NE*.
