Terrell Owens wants to play for the Jets

TO wants to play for anyone who will pay him at this point. -
who is accountable in this organization?

There are some who feel the fans are also partly accountable for enabling the decade + 3 of suck. -
Is Stephon Gilmore a potential BUST?
CodeMonkey replied to Buffalo 66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gilmore is 5 games into his rookie season and working with a defensive line and LBs that so far haven't been able to stop anything but the pizza delivery guy. You all probably gave Spiller 3 years. You are using the word bust on Gilmore after 5 games on a **** defense? You people baffle me. -
Well AZ is down to their 3rd string RB so please GOD let the Bills D be able to at least stop him. If that happens the Bills have a shot.

Bills fans in San Francisco yesterday
CodeMonkey replied to SF Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I noticed several times watching on TV that the crowd at the stadium was very mellow. Maybe a little excited at the start of the game, but that quickly passed. It was like they knew the outcome of the game was a foregone conclusion and they just enjoyed the day. Always nice to hear of no bad incidents at any game. -
I disagree. They are still a passing team. But have analyzed their own weakness and adapted to develop and use the run game to open the field for their passing game. Thereby becoming considerably more balanced in the process. Wouldn't it be nice to see a little of that in Buffalo. I hate that organization for being smart and capable.

I guess that's better than saying "we suck so bad we don't even deserve to be on the same field as those guys" ... but not much. His statement is ludicrous after those last 2 games. Something middle of the road would have been smarter.

I prefer Graham to Johnson. If the Bills had a starting QB capable of throwing it more than 15 yards he would be a serious down field threat. Johnson is not.

VERY weak fan base in here....

To be fair, that happens here after every loss. -
That's what people were saying last week about SF. Over 600 yards of offense later ...

Could be Gaileys saving grace when the season is over.

Let's say the bills bomb out... is anyone else
CodeMonkey replied to Jdragon2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see the Bills going 2-14. I can see 4-12 or 5-11. With "luck" 6-10. They still have Tenn, Indy, then Jags, Rams (at home in December) And they could beat the Jets if the Jets are out of the playoffs then as well. -

Go back in time a few pages to last week. Some sincerely thought the Bills would beat SF. Not a lot I don't think, but some. "Make Alex Smith beat us" was one of the ways the Bills were to win. Oy vey. -
We knew the Bills would lose @9ers in April

I never had anything make me laugh so much and make me sick both at the same time. Well played. -
If your soul gets ripped out by a sports team all I can say is wow. It does have trap game written all over it. But only 4.5, and IN AZ! Tough one to lay off of if you have a taste for gambling (and can bet against the Bills).
-
I agree with you that if you are going to be a professional gambler that sports betting is the way to go. If, like you say, you put the time in to look closely at the games you are far more likely to find favorable odds that way that in any of the casino games. And as you say it is sometimes more pop-oriented. They need people to bet, so making the odds of the Bills making the playoffs 1:10 for example would discourage anyone (except the Senator maybe ) from making a bet. And without people betting Vegas makes nothing. So if they make it tempting for Bills fans and maybe some others they get the bets. And if the Bills in this case say make the playoffs with a push bet it isn't so bad as Vegas does expect to pay off sometimes. And they will make it up, and then some, when two other push bets go their way. So in the long run Vegas is going to make money and is not in business from making stupid bets, but you can make money as a gambler if you find the right bets to make. And making assumptions about a teams ability to make the playoffs, for example, based solely on Vegas prop bet odds is not sound in my opinion.

If I remember correctly before Gailey was hired Cowher stated one thing he needed to coach again would be an established QB. He would not take the time to find and groom one. Guess what team doesn't qualify.

Not everyone bought in completely. A lot, like myself, thought that the offense would be mediocre to bad this season. And that's what they have been. They do OK against the bottom feeder defenses, but against anything decent they fold like a cheap suit,. But I don't think anyone, and I mean anyone who follows football at all, thought that with Wanny as DC and the off season acquisitions that the Bills defense could possibly be this horrifically bad 5 games into the season. I mean an Alex Smith led offense broke an ALL TIME NFL RECORD for Christs sake (http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameon/2012/10/07/san-francisco-49ers-nfl-record-300-yards/1619289/). Not that Alex Smith is terrible, but come on! I certainly did not expect the Bills defense to be this bad. We can only hope that somehow Wanny and his boys figure something out and get their heads out of their butts before this Sunday or it could prove to be almost as bad as yesterday. -

I would say probably a week from Monday. I don't hold out much hope against AZ. But the Titans at home I'm still hopeful. -
Like you said below that, they are not ready to risk money this early in the season that the Bills are a bad team. That is their business and they do not take wild ass risks with their money, which is why they make Billions every year. Yes it is cold hard numbers, like it is with Vegas always. No emotion, unlike fans of a particular team. A push bet does not mean Vegas thinks the Bills will make the playoffs. It just means they are not prepared to give big odds that they will not. Surely you must understand this.
-
All this means is that Vegas is not ready to risk that the Bills, particularly the defense, is really as bad as they have been showing this season. It is early in the season and Vegas, unlike gamblers, don't take big risks. They will wait until they are sure before they sweeten the pot with better prop odds. It is not that they think the Bills are a good bet to make the playoffs, they just aren't prepared to risk that the still could, yet. I love your enthusiasm by the way.
