  1. It's Joe Cool for me all the way, then Josh.
  2. I suspect Josh would want to stick around Buffalo rebuild or no rebuild (though talk of a rebuild of this team seems silly to me). The Bills believed in him in a HUGE way and continue to, and he seems like a loyal guy. Plus, he has to be treated like a god in the greater Buffalo area. That being said, if a LA/SD or west coast in general offer came in, he might be real tempted to take it because of his wife and family.
  3. They certainly are by this time in the season. But some here enjoy wearing the red and blue blinders, and that's fine. And we certainly can't blame people that have purchased December/January tickets from wanting to think that way!
  4. Not tonight but I'm sure we will watch at some point. I'm pretty sure "Pinto Ron" is in it!
  5. "I'll agree that the available names this year aren't quite as inspiring as those two but that doesn't mean you hold onto a coach that you know for a fact is never going to get it done." No "inspiring" coaches available this season, but don't hold onto a coach that isn't going to "get it done". Pretty simple path from A to B. Fire Clappy now and see what they can hire.
  6. So, in your opinion, it would be better to fire a coach knowing any replacement you hire will not be as good as the one you just fired?
  7. Easy, just pretend it is a game meant for entertainment and not meant to be considered to be life or death. If that doesn't work, I recommend self-medicating
  8. The sports books disagree with most on this thread. They still think the betting public needs encouragement to put their $$$ on the Bucs. Buffalo Bills: -250 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +200 Bills giving 5.5 points.
  9. No team has had more money wagered on it than the Bills at BetMGM online. They’ve taken in 13.2% of the bets.
  10. If I felt that way, there would be no point watching or following the sport. 🤔 Your maximizing profit comment is very true and well stated. But rigging the outcome of games for the sake of storylines is probably the best way to go from $23 billion in revenue to out of business. Who is going to spend $1000 or more to take their family to a game where the league has already decided the outcome. That "steer outcome" narrative makes no sense to me. Agree to disagree I suppose
  11. Always going to the "the human element" involved I suppose.
  12. Poor is one thing, and a lot of that is on the NFL for making rules that are so hard to get right. But the feeling here seems to be the refs and the league is biased against the Bills consistently, even when they win. The fact that you don't recognize that is on you.
  13. It's so sad these threads appear after every loss. If the league is fixed as some seem to believe, why would you bother watching?
  14. I think McClappy is a good, and maybe very good, coach in general. But he absolutely BLOWS CHUNKS coaching in-game. I have said that for years now. Great coaches don't grow on trees, so voting to kick him to the curb without a better replacement is insane. I think what the Bills need is to hire someone who is analytical and calm under pressure, put a headset on that person game day and stop Sean from doing stupid things.
  15. Honestly, I just think reality is starting to set in a bit. The Bills four wins have come against teams with a combined record of 3-21. Since then, they lost 2 in prime time and frankly got pushed around by Atlanta. Maybe they will turn it around after the bye and finish out strong, or maybe with the exception of a few like Allen and Cook they collectively as a team, players and coaches, aren't quite good enough yet for Bills fans to be making their superbowl reservations. We will see, but "taking a breath" is good advice.
  16. Sony Hawk Eye to me implies a video solution. Which means the 4th and inches sneaks with the mass of humanity blocking lines of sight, this would not be leaps and bounds better than the current human solution. Now putting something in the noses of the ball with sensors to pick up an accurate location, did it break the plane of the goal line etc., would be a big help and speed up the game as well. Even that still has issues given the current rules seemingly designed to produce bad calls. like where the ball is when the knee or elbow touches the ground for example. But incremental improvements are much better than the 1950's era of technology things they have going on now IMO.
  17. Welcome to the NFL. As long as people are willing [foolish enough] to keep paying, they have no reason to change. I sure wouldn't in their shoes.
  18. You might not escape the game there. The falls view sports book is having a SB watch party
  19. Members of my family are planning a superbowl NOT watch party. Not because of any of the conspiracy theory, flat earth society style, nonsense in some posts in this thread. Or the Tay Tay "ruining the NFL" foolishness either. But just out of lack of interest in watching the Chiefs in the SB again. No more, no less. Smoked meats, good beer, distilled spirit, and good friends. I suspect (because I will create one ) there will be a room with the game on as well
  20. Keep accelerating getting my brains turned to mush playing football or retire and be Taylor Swifts boy toy full time? Sign me up for that gig. Sadly, i suspect he was serious.
  21. IMO what the Bills need to hire is an analytics guru that can be on the headset during games with McD and stop him from doing stupid things. His in-game management, including but not limited to clock management, is often catastrophic. Also, IMO it's his Achilles heel and his only glaring weakness.
  22. The main premise of this thread is very valid "The stubbornness to continually run the QB sneak". That was no more evident than on the last turnover on downs. Did Josh make it, who knows. But the Bills stubbornness (the perfect word in this case) to do that, and AGAIN to the left as always when it was clearly not working is IMO what cost the Bills the game as much as anything else. It is NOT the fault of the referees. Given what had happened with the "tush push" the entire game, the Bills needed to take it out of the hands of the officials and make the first down clearly and not rely on what some say was making it by 1/3 of the ball length in that giant sea of humanity.
