  1. Chan Gailey will be 61 in January. Buddy Nix will be 73 in December. Both are making exceptionally good money compared to most others in their age group. Plan B is comfortable retirement.
  2. I myself have 3 kids who have never seen a good Bills team, but they are Bills fans. They go to camp at SJF almost every day (they have a good Bills fan mother as well ), wear their jerseys etc. proudly on Sundays and to school, go to the kids day game every year, and watch as much as they can stand on Sundays with me. I would not have it any other way. Trust me, if the Bills do ever turn it around, and particularly if they manage to win it all, you will want to be able to celebrate it with your kid(s) !
  3. Leads in TD passes if you include TDs for the opposing team.
  4. I feel your pain. But I think Fitz does belong in the NFL, but as a top quality backup. "Deserve better" is interesting. I assume you mean because the fans have been loyal throughout the entire Bills history including the past "dirty dozen" years of massive suckitude. But do consumers of a crap product who continue to purchase said product deserve better? Or do they deserve exactly what they get? But like I said, i do feel your pain. Particularly for the kid Bills fans like mine who have known nothing but the Bills being a laughing stock.
  5. By the looks of that second picture he did. Williams hand was up into the throat as well. This is tackle football not badminton. .Losers lose and make excuses--winners win.
  6. If I were the Bills players I would avoid reading anything in the media this week. They need to put that behind them as much as possible and try to prepare for KC. However I hope Gailey and Stache read everything. They should both be embarrassed by how unprepared the team was and by their lack of adjustments during the game.
  7. Yeah. Same offense as last year and they were ready.
  8. Gilmore is a rookie and except for a little pre-season, all he had to go on was the Bills WRs during half speed drills in camp. He will need some time to adjust to playing opposite NFL caliber receivers. The knock against him in college was he would get himself out of position often then bail himself out with his speed. The bail out won't be quite so easy in the NFL. A little help from the D line, and Stache remembering there is such a thing called B L I T Z, would go a long way as well.
  9. What I meant was, a lot of people here thought the Bills would be fighting with the Pats for the AFCE title this season. If those people are right, the next 2 games should be easy wins.
  10. Most talking heads thought so. A lot of people here as well. Unfortunately they actually have to play the game.
  11. And maybe if he had made positive yardage on nearly every touch instead of how Spiller was last season ... lots of negative or no gain followed by a 20+ ... their record would have been better too. A 20 yard run for a first down followed by 3 no gains means your team punts. A 5 yards per carry average for the RB but not much good for the team. That was Spiller last season. The Spiller of yesterday was much much improved in my opinion. I hope we see this Spiller 2.0 the rest of his career.
  12. Well KC and the Brownies should be easy games for a team that will be contending for the AFCE this year. So we will see what we will see.
  13. I got the same in a text from the Bills. Nelson out for the year, FredEx 3+ weeks.
  14. And you vowed to stay that way until they made the playoffs! You my friend are a TRUE fan!
  15. What drives it home to me is that none of my kids were born yet. Oh actually I lied ... my oldest was 1 ! But he doesn't remember it so it doesn't count
  16. i agree with you that Spiller did his job yesterday. Best game I've seen him play so far. But during Barry Sanders tenure with the Lions, they had a sub .500 record.
  17. What he means is, the home team generally gets 3 points just for being the home team.
  18. You are misguided. The Jets played soft one they had the big lead and gave the short stuff in order to protect against big gains. Fitz's stats improved only as much as Rex let them.
  19. And Brady was not a top pick.. Luck was and I strongly suspect will become a franchise QB.
  20. Wow if Stache is really that !@#$ing stupid the Bills are screwed. Can't believe it is true though.
  21. Yup. Landry is a dirty !@#$ to be sure, but that hit was clean. Unfortunate as hell, but clean.
  22. i saw that too. Caught himself pretty quickly though and turned it off. He is not a rookie. I'm not sure why people expect him to be different/better every week. He is what he is, for better or for worse.
  23. it probably deserved it. Stinking Giants loving table.
