  1. No. We were tied for first before that game.
  2. Well, "Suck For Luck" was good enough for the Colts I guess.
  3. Bad refs always hurt the Bills, and only the Bills. At least so you would think from some on this forum. The only way refs could have changed the outcome of that turd pile was if the replacements came from TBD.
  4. I saw all of last season. Yesterday was the first time he waited for blocking to develop, didn't scat to the sideline at the first sign of an opponents jersey, and ran through a couple arm tackles. In short, the first time he looked like a top NFL caliber RB. Last season he had some long runs followed by 3 or 4 no gain or loss runs which made his stats look good, but that's it.
  5. I can appreciate the attempt to find the silver lining But a couple minor points ... 1 - Greatly improved? Not so sure. But somewhat improved is fair I'd say. Once they got past the line it got ugly quick. 2 - No the Bills really did not. The Jets played soft the entire 2nd half. Spiller had that second big run and the Bills closed the gap a little. But once they got too close for Rex's comfort, the Jets scored again and also tightened up a little on D and finished it. What you saw was only garbage time scoring and a second fine run from Spiller. 4 - I have never been a Spiller proponent, and I will forever call that pick a bad one for the Bills at that time. But as I stated elsewhere, that was the first time I ever saw Spiller look like a first round running back. I hope he keeps it up (and manages to hold on to the ball better).
  6. Completely right. And it happens everywhere, including the Ralph (unfortunately). This is why the whole "family friendly" push by the NFL is doomed to the same fate as NFL Europe in my opinion. But it does take a particular breed of stupid to wear an opposing teams jersey into an environment knowing full well that a significant portion of the home teams "fans" have been drinking heavily for 4 or 5 hours prior to game time. Talk about painting a target on yourself.
  7. I disagree. To me it was a fumble. But either way it really doesn't matter anymore. The Bills sucking for the last 12 years, and particularly the last 2 years and 1 game, is not due to referee incompetence, despite what you generally read on this forum.
  8. That it was over. The Jets were playing soft with the big lead. Once Spiller got another big run and the score got closer than Rex was willing to accept, the Jets offense scored again. It was one big festering shitpile. Time to forget it and get ready for KC.
  9. Redouble their efforts? Please. You really think they weren't doing the best they could? You and I and hopefully every Bills fan hopes that was an anomaly, but please don't pretend it was caused by lack of effort.
  10. I think this is spot on my robotic friend. The good news is we are unlikely to see another pair of CBs that talented until we play the Jets again. I want to think that will help enough, but yesterday was so bad I'm not sure.
  11. When a group of like minded !@#$s who call themselves fans gets together with copious amounts of alcohol you can bet that they will attempt to out !@#$ each other at the expense of someone there to just enjoy the game. And what makes it worse is often the person on the receiving end is a kid. Fortunately those people are in the minority at the Ralph, but it is very embarrassing when the !@#$s are wearing a Bills jersey.
  12. First time I've ever heard Gailey speak and thought he was bullshitting.
  13. Except for Spiller the entire team sucked ass today. But the line above is the biggest bunch of horse **** I have ever seen on this board. The D mails it in game 1 because they think Fitz sucks? I sincerely hope you were drunk when you wrote this so you have an excuse. Can't blame you for drinking heavily during that abomination.
  14. I have not been a Spiller proponent ... ever. But as I said in another thread, today is the first time he looked like a first round RB to me.
  15. I disagree. The replay to me showed he had possession for a couple steps and got stripped. And it needs to be seen as clearly wrong in the replay to overturn. It absolutely was not in this case. However the replay that the Jets challenged on the spot that, to me anyway, clearly showed the spot was wrong was upheld as well. And by the way, the replay officials are not replacements.
  16. Yeah you shouldn't get too excited about what happens in garbage time.
  17. Jackson will get in before Thigpen if it comes to that. But Gaileys unwillingness to change anything leads me to believe Fitz plays all season unless he gets hurt. Plus how stupid would it make ChaNix look if they bench Fitz for sucking so soon after giving him the big contract. They won't want to look that stupid.
  18. It was Chan who helped make Fitz his starter again this season. It is Chan who insists on primarily a 5-wide offense with a QB who's biggest weakness is throwing the ball. And it is Stache who kept the same defense all game, didn't alter anything or blitz when it was apparent the defensive scheme was not working.
  19. Everyone who set foot on the field except Spiller. And particularly Gailey and Stache. They had more then the normal time to come up with a game plan and that turd is what they came up with. Then failed to make any adjustments at halftime, or at any point during the game. Very disappointing.
  20. Don't bogart that reality (and whatever you are smoking) my friend
  21. No mention of the only bright spot of the day, Spiller?
  22. Spiller looks like he might finally get it. Waited for his blocks to develop, didn't scat to the sideline at the first sign of resistance, and ran through a couple arm tackles. For the first time ever he looked like a first round running back to me. Other than that though, I got nothing positive from today.
  23. It pretty much was today.
  24. Must have hurt his ribs again.
