  1. That was really really disappointing. Not encouraging at all. Getting the sense Housley is a problem
  2. Home sweet Home thread
  3. Hi. I’m 12 years old and started watching football last year. Read my thread. Thx!
  4. So.....don’t buy Super Bowl tickets? Phew, thanks for keeping me in check.
  5. Maybe Vontae was a plant? Genius!!!
  6. Haha. I posted the same thing in another thread and asked who it was. 4merperformer was the culprit.
  7. This hurts our playoff chances tho.... remember that guy? Who was that?
  8. Well look at that. Maybe Beane and McDermott actually know what they are doing. That was the best win the Bills have had in a long long time.
  9. Agreed. Also, “advanced” is a stupid marketing word to try and elevate its use and importance. And shocker, people buy it. They are metrics, that’s it. They are useful data points but by no means are they the only data points needed to make predictions. Unfortunately, dorks like Schopp don’t get it and love feeling smart quoting stats that basically anyone with a few bucks and a couple internet subscriptions has access to. That too. He’s terrible. Maybe a nice person off air. Maybe a good husband and father. But terrible sports radio host.
  10. Ha. Oh man. Mike Schopp is smarter than Brandon Beane or Sean McDermott? That’s the hottest of hot takes. I don’t think most people realize how complicated running a football team is. Then again, everyone is an expert about everything nowadays. Just go on Twitter, you’ll see.
  11. Frantically looking up “advanced analytics” to back up their point on tomorrow afternoons radio program.
  12. Oh yeah. I did forget about that. Hmmm...might have to add one to the list.
  13. Nope. I don’t hate players because they are good. I really dislike Landry for his hit on Aaron Williams and his lack of remorse.
  14. The only players I’d ever not care about getting hurt is Jarvis Landry. Hate that scumbag.
  15. Noise noise noise. None of these people’s opinion matter, at all. Twitter is the worst.
  16. The other thing worth noting is that for years people were begging the Bills to do anything it took to get up and grab a QB high in the draft. That the hit rate was much higher the higher picked a QB was. Also lamenting the fact that picking in the teens every year would mean giving up a fortune to get up that high. Beane was able to get up to 7 and get a QB (we will see how he does) and actually have another first round pick in the same year and a pick in every round the following year! All while making the playoffs the previous year which means they were picking 23rd! That’s pretty incredible.
  17. Doug Whaley: Director of Pro Personel 2/2010 - 5/2013 General Manager 5/2013 - 4/2017 Bills records those years: 2010 - 4-12 2011 - 6-10 2012 - 6-10 2013 - 6-10 2014 - 9-7 2015 - 8-8 2016 - 7-9 Beane and co are trying to get us out of the mediocrity trap. Take a couple steps back to take many steps forward. Started with getting a QB and some key pieces on defense (QB of the defense and a top flight CB). Also clearing cap space and accumulating draft picks. Again, this may not work. All depends on what happens with JA and what they do with drafts and key FA signings. Nothing up to this point in FA is key except maybe Star.
  18. Young core. Young nucleus. Young plays at key positions. Young players you want to be leaders in the near future. Allen, Edmunds, White, and maybe Phillips. It’s a start. In two years almost all of the aging vets bringing that average age up will be gone. Don’t be fooled by simple average, it’s generally not a useful statistic.
  19. I wouldn’t put my life on it but yes, for the purpose of sports entertainment I trust them at this point. At least willing to see how it plays out.
  20. Serious question, are Taylor, Glenn, Dareus and Coleman part of the core you want to build a team around? Because Dareus’s contract was a disaster and they traded Glenn to get more draft capital to eventually get up to take Allen. Look at the next two years of cap hits (2019, 2020) and tell me who on there do the Bills have big commitments to? Star is the only one and even his cap hit isn’t that big. The FO is tearing it down to the studs and rebuilding with a QB, MLB, and CB to start and future flexibility. It may not work, but I get it and I give them credit for actually doing it. I happen to believe it will pay off quicker than what the org had been doing for the past two decades. Just my two cents, obviously I could be totally wrong.
  21. Thats my point! Not that people are flip flopping (although that does happen). It’s that many people just come on and make negative posts so every thread seems negative.
  22. I think I figured this board out! Before the trade most of the board was complaining that Josh Gordon was too much of a risk and probably won’t play another game in the league. After the trade most most of the board is complaining that the Pats continue to make brilliant moves and the Bills suck and Josh Gordon is Randy Moss 2.0. So, my analysis is that people only come here to complain, with a few exceptions. ** I would have loved if the Bills gave up a conditional low round pick for Gordon - as Majbobby made a good case for.
