    Perhaps. You never know though. He’s a middle of the road starter well into his career coming off a couple tough seasons. Could definitely see him signing on as a backup.

    Or Josh plays well, is the undisputed franchise QB, and we have one of the better veteran backups in the league in case Josh gets hurt and it out for any time at all. Can’t live your life hedging Cornelius.

    I know what you’re getting at but it’s not really applicable unless you assume the Jets took Rosen or Jackson or a non-QB. To make this hypo more applicable to Buffao, you ask the question if the Bills could redraft would they choose Allen, Rosen, Jackson for QBs, that’s it.

    Yeah, I agree. I’m not saying Allen sucked or anything. I think he’s doing well, all things considered. Just saying that it’s somewhat misleading given the low number of attempts and the amount of air yards on a prayer at the end of a half. But it’s still pretty awesome, regardless of its its 18+ or ~16.

    Im just saying it’s not something that’s part of a game plan or the normal course of a game. Without that pass, it’s about a 16.5/pass average. Just pointing it out.

    Do hail marys count in that? for a game when you make 19 throws, one that’s in the air for 60 yards can make a big difference.

    There is literally a 0.0% chance of the game being anything but an absolute blowout for an NFL team. If the NFL team poured it on, it might be 100-0.

    Right. Forgot we live in a binary world. Either you love video game scoring with no defense or 85 Bears Defense vs ‘18 Bills Offense. Not picking on the Count but it’s amazing how every thread (and many conversation) devolves into a binary fight to the death. Hah!

    Agreed. I think they will adjust though. It’s kind of what makes football so cool, there is always a new approach that works to combat other new approaches.

    I actually don’t think that’s a preview into the future NFL. Defenses will catch up, running the ball will be more attractive when defenses become slimmer and lighter or teams play 7 defensive back. Not that it’ll go back to 80s football, but I also don’t think that 54-51 games will be the norm either. It was definitely entertaining though!
