  1. It’s all about balance and game planning on both sides of the ball.
  2. I actually thought that the Steelers played that right and the Pats kind of out thought themselves. Pats were down 7 with a yard to go. They should have just went for it there. I think they were trying to get the Steelers to use a timeout and then come back to go for it on fourth down. Instead the Steelers just let them punt it and went into the half up 7.
  3. Very cool to see.
  4. I thought Rosen was the pick as well. I admit it. I am very glad to be wrong. Phew.
  5. Nice game. Josh Allen is really improving. Very exciting.
  6. I think you’re missing the passes actually.
  7. Boom. Another great pass by Allen, fortunately not dropped this time.
  8. Its just incorrect if that’s what you mean.
  9. Ugh. Receivers are just so bad.
  10. I actually hadn’t thought of that but recall that play you are referring to. As demented as that rationale would be by Anderson, perhaps that was the case.
  11. Love this post. ? Won’t sit well with the PTI or Twitter crowd where everything has to be one or the other and fight to the death over it. But totally correct nonetheless.
  12. Good idea for a new thread.
  13. It definitely matters. Look at the Bears. Look at the Ravens. I think you cant really win a super bowl without competent offense and defense. There’s no secret formula for which one needs to be better but you need both.
  14. He also has one of the highest yards in air per pass attempt in nfl history. And not surprisingly, the longer the pass the lower the completion rate. So yes, people need to really have an understanding of “accuracy” before commenting. He he can definitely get better, but I’m actually impressed with his placement.
  15. No offense RyanC883, but football might not be your thing if you really believe this. Allen, in fact, has gotten a ton better over the year and obviously since college. Even many of the bozos in sports media have acknowledged it. Josh Allen has a lot of room to improve no doubt. But let’s try and just have a reasonable set of expectations and some perspective on this.
  16. Ball security isn’t the most important thing for a QB. I think “ball security” is just a borderline meaningless statement that coaches and players say all the time. When yoh you are too concerned with ball security, you get Tyrod Taylor. More accurately it’s: making instant risk/reward trade off decisions and not making stupid decisions. Allen wasn’t great with that yesterday but he will get better.
  17. I think the vast majority of fans are level headed, fair minded and can see the progression of JA. That coupled with the relatively poor supporting cast, inconsistent fat-o and terrible WRs and say, “I think we have a lot to be excited about with JA”. Then you have the small minority of fans that have taken up a crusade against JA, McD, Beane, Pegulas, and anyone else they can fit into the their crosshairs. They post the same things over and over. Start threads for every incompletion. It seems as though there are a ton of doubters. But in reality it’s just a very small percentage of people, which this poll seems to confirm.
  18. Stop. Just stop with this new thread nonsense. Pro Tip: search Brandon Beane in the search function. Take your comment and add it to one of those existing threads.
  19. Its almost like no other QBs miss open receiver or throw INTs, ever.
  20. It’s amazing how different the results of this poll are and the tenor of the weekly threads that pop up. Hard to reconcile the two.
  21. Actually there was a ref in the replay that appears to be looking directly at the hit. Edit: as I rewatched it again perhaps he wasn’t looking directly at the hit. Hard to tell. I have to think he at least caught it in his peripheral vision, assuming they have that.
  22. And then get other jobs. Hmmmm
  23. He’s not perfect but name a coach who is. IMO he’s done a very good job through a difficult rebuild. He will continue to improve. Im convinced that many fans subconsciously believe that they can coach or manage a team better than actual professionals because it’s not dependent on physical talent like players.
  24. Tough game. Would much rather be the Bills than the Jets though.
