Apparently the Saints should have been able to win decisively with a couple drives in the 4th quarter, particularly the last one, only getting 3 downs to pick up 10 yards instead of the customary 4. That’s what happens when you don’t win decisively. Brilliant!! All teams have to do now is run the “win decisively” playbook!! It’s that simple! This logic is absurd. The only thing that matters in that saints game situation is that the referee missed as obvious of a penalty as there can be and if he does his job, saints win and go to the Super Bowl. There is no other way to look at it.

Good point. The LT looks much further away from that position that Dee Ford looks Offside. But hard to tell for sure without a straight down the LOS angle on either.

Its really hard to tell. Unless I see an angle that goes down the LOS, I’ll always have doubt. Either way it looks close and certainly not obvious. But it is what it is at this point and you have to know that if there is any gray area, the officials will use it as an opportunity to give the Pats a break. Happens every week for decades now.

They showed a pic from a weird angle that was behind the LOS and it showed his hand was on the blue line. The blue line is not official, it’s a media creation, so pardon me for not taking it at face value, especially since they didn’t show an angle that was directly down the LOS like they usually do. And im not even saying he wasn’t offside, just impossible to know from the angle of the “replay”

Thats definitely not true. He may have been Offside, but it was impossible to tell because they really didn’t show the replay.

Theres no consistency is the issue and it certainly raises questions. When there is no clear evidence to overturn, call on the field stands. But not on the muffed punt. When the official can’t clearly see a penalty, can’t call it, but he does on the roughing and phucks it up and hands the Pats a first.

Who is Breese and which team does he play for. Also, what’s a “discount Nick Saban?”

However, it does fit the rule of: The more centralized the government, the more corrupt and evil the politician. its more more likely that the mayor of Hill Valley actually is not corrupted by politics, unlike the, say, Speaker of the House of Representatives and say, President of the United States.

I don’t understand why teams don’t start the game off against the Pats just roughing up Brady as much as possible. If you have to take a few late hits, so be it. If they score on the first drive or two, so be it. But you gotta hit him hard and hit him often. He will quickly show his age, especially in these freezing conditions.
