  1. That’s not what eball put in the OP. And he also was quoting McDermott. Youre right. McDermott only wants to score 21 points a game. He’s striving for below average. Makes sense too. I mean, the clearest path to career success is to aspire to below average results. ??‍♂️ Or....maybe, just maybe, you’re reading into it to confirm something, a bias perhaps?
  2. He said they want to score at least 21 points every game. He didn’t say he wants to score exactly 21 points every game or average 21 ppg. If you score at least 21 a game, your average is going to be much higher than 21, getting in the range of the top offenses on a ppg basis. UPDATE: Glad to see some others understood this too. Was late to the ?
  3. Sorry, let me clarify. I mean nothing related to building a new stadium. I don’t think that’s really an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars. Especially in this state and this environment. I could possibly get behind tax breaks (ie forgoing future tax collections for a period of time). But subsidies seem like a non starter (actual deployment of tax receipts).
  4. Nothing you have just wrote is even remotely true. Nothing. Who is McBeane? What are you talking about bro, get your ***** together.
  5. Benny from the Bronx, i think the point is, yes Flacco had some great runs, but that was a long time ago and it doesn’t appear he’s even close to that player anymore. Joe Namath was a Super Bowl MVP QB - do you want him to trot out as the starting QB for the Bills in 2019?
  6. I’m very torn on this idea. On one hand I can’t in good conscience support anything that the taxpayer is responsible for. its bad enough we have Gov Moonbat creating huge budget deficits and pushing for free healthcare, college, and a slew of other ego initiatives that will destroy NY State. Supporting any new stadium that’s funded with any taxpayer dollars would be hypocritical. On the other hand I’d love the experience and would love the team to stay for as long as possible.
  7. I disagree. It’s one thing to pay a guy that you drafted that much money to resign. It’s completely different to give up two first round picks AND pay him that money. Mack is awesome, in retrospect should have drafted him, but I think giving up that much for this team would have been a mistake.
  8. You do realize that SI doesn’t coach the Bills.
  9. This is an incredible value for Antonio Brown. The Steelers would be insane to trade him. That salary is minuscule for the production.
  10. Ha! Little known fact: there’s no such thing as a patriots fan above the age of 30. That city barely acknowledged its existence prior to the late 90s. You can’t be a fan of a team that’s been around since 1960 if you started following them in 1997, unless you were born around then. Plain as day in the true fan handbook.
  11. I think his dour public persona is due to his total lack of respect for the media, which makes me like him a lot.
  12. The commercials and halftime shows, IMO, detract from the whole evening. Haven’t watched a halftime show in decades and if I catch a commercial it’s purely by chance. Bud Bowl was cool though!
  13. Good luck bro, you’re going to need it.
  14. The media praising the media??? You don’t say!!
  15. Don’t like the idea of trading for Julio. It’s a huge risk. He’s awesome, but not young, dinged up a lot, and has a fairly sizable contract. Higher than a rookie deal for sure. In your scenario, I’d rather keep the picks and make selections.
  16. It was pretty bad. I’m fine with it, every game isn’t a 34-31 game with a last second score to win it. But this was a pretty gross game. Punt bowl
  17. My takeaways from the game: belichick is awesome. He won this game with the defensive game plan. All this talk of offense taking over is way overblown. The whole playoffs were almost about running and defense, highlighted by this game. Brady is still good but declining. McVay was exposed and abused. Wade can can still bring it.
  18. I generally agree. Five questionable calls in my mind: 1) defenseless hit on Burkhead. Thought that was junk. But they have been calling those a lot this year. 2) non-PI call on Gilmore. That seemed an obvious call to make to me. Would have been a game changer. Think the pats probably still come down and win. 3) the illegal hands to face on the Pats last drive while the offensive guy was holding at the same time. Should have been offsetting penalties. 4) Woods (I think) completion in the first half. Thought that was pretty obviously an incomplete pass. The one on the sidelines. 5) oh, and the hold on the big Gurley run. That was pretty bad.
  19. Buffalo is actually a pretty good place to live for players. Maybe not as cool as NYC or LA, or Chicago or Atlanta but you can get a relatively cheap palace and drive a couple hours out of the county and go to Toronto, which is every bit as cool as any city not LA/NYC. Besides, if location was such a determinant factor, I’d think the Jets/Giants/Bears/Falcons/Dolphins would almost always be good. We know that’s not the case. Not saying buffalo being buffalo isn’t a factor at all, just think it’s pretty small relative to a lot of other things.
  20. There’s is literally a 0% chance the Bills draft a RB at the top of round 1.
  21. Haha. Such a misguided post. Badolbilz strikes again.
