Josh Gordon to be released-now traded to PATS
dubs replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also watch him turn in a dynamite 2018. The same people saying to stay away are going to criticize the Bills for not moving more aggressively for him. -
Josh Gordon to be released-now traded to PATS

I agree. I mean, at this point what do they have to lose. Best case scenario he really helps Josh Allen’s development and this offense. Worst case scenario, he does nothing and gets cut and the bills pay him virtually nothing and lose a low round draft pick. Just do it Beane! Great post. Hard to argue against this. -
Why Josh Allen is Fit for Success and a Fit for Buffalo

Great post. So many fans are morons. I get the desire to want to win right now, but if you can’t see what the FO is trying to do and how it’s playing out right now, then you just don’t get it and never will. -
Sadly, McDermott is the wrong guy to develop his own guys

Hahaha. Exactly. At this point I just come here to laugh. So many experts and mind readers here. Amazing NFL teams havent swooped in to hire all these experts! -
Huh?

Baltimore is terrible

So, in a country of 330m people an incident involving two people we don’t know any details about vaidates a highly questionable narrative perpetuated by tactics from a book called “rules for radicals”? Got it. ??♀️

1989 Cowboys - an example of early process
dubs replied to dubs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another? When was the last real rebuild year? The Whaley try and fill holes approach yielded NFL purgatory, finishing middle of the pack every year. This is is it folks. This is the pain the team has pushed off for years. One year, really painful then emerge from the abyss with a (hopefully) franchise QB, MLB, CB a ton of cap space and a full set of draft picks. -

Also they fail to realize the rut this team was in. People on this board seriously lamenting Whaley being gone, even though his time here was as mediocre as it gets. This Year is going to be rough. Last year takes the sting away a little but it’s still going to be brutal to watch. But if Allen shows promise and improvement and some of the younger guys on D do the same then Beane can focus on OLine and WR in the offseason. Despite how horrible today was, I felt like Allen was ok and so was Edmunds. -

In 2019 the Bills only have $2.1m in dead cap. -

We will see, that’s the point I’m constantly trying to make around here. In 1989, I’m sure the fans were livid. Out of the playoffs for 5 straight years, drafted two QBs giving up a first rounder next year, traded away their best talent at the time in Walker. New coach, new owner. Terrible. Three years later they are super bowl champs. Again, I’m not predicting that or saying the roadmap is even similar, but generally that’s what the bills are trying to do. Get key young pieces last year and this is the point we are at. -
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Dallas_Cowboys_season I’m not suggesting the Bills will end up winning multiple Super Bowls like the Cowboys did. What I am suggesting is that this is what to expect when a rebuild works. It’s what I kind of think Beane and McDermott have in mind. Would be nice to get a haul for McCoy like the Cowboys did for Hershel Walker (I know that’s not possible), but at least the Bills have their first round pick next year. Its not an exact parallel, but I think you can get the point. If next year isn’t much better, then yes, I’m jumping ship. Right now, this is totally expected and frankly necessary.

The biggest (and virtually only) criticism I have of the FO right now is the OLine. I’m assuming the plan was in place before wood And incognito retired and they decided not to adjust accordingly. I can respect that. But man, I wish they had been able to put something better together. It’s so bad.

*placed on the “don’t get it” list*
-
I agree. Would be nice too. Not planning on seeing it and don’t think it really impacts the long term anyway.
-
Whats the difference. Everything leading up to this year is all about josh Allen and cleaning house and setting up for the future. It sucks. I know. That was a painful game to watch. But at least I get what’s going on here. I agree it’s necessary.
-
Because the best that team could do was last WC and no chance at a super bowl run.
-
As soon as the team traded TT we knew it was a rebuilding year. And rightly so. No pain no gain.
