I don't care if the Bills go 10-6 and they do so by beating the Browns, Dolphins, Broncos and Jets while losing the other 4 games. Granted not winning 1 against the Cowboys,, Ravens, Steelers, and Pats would sting but just get to a healthy record and the playoffs is a huge positive step for what the coaching staff and GM are trying to build. Unlike the Bears who bankrupted their draft picks and screwed their cap position in 2018 to try and win with a young QB the Bills are set up to have 84 million in cap space (Possibly 102 million if they cut Kroft and Murphy) and their full complement of draft choices. This team isn't a finished product. The team can afford to take care of their young players while also adding a couple of pieces via free agency. Overall the team is in a good spot to sustain winning the next 2-3 seasons while Josh is on his rookie deal. So as long as this team can get into the playoffs on a good record the season is an unqualified success.

I don't think anyone is bothered by continued economic growth. But in 2006 someone could have been saying that the economy is being propped up by deficit spending mainly used to fund a war and tax cuts for the wealthy, deregulation in various sectors and a bubble in the housing market. Would your retort to them have been why does growth bother you? Someone in 2006 would have been right to say the growth is a positive but what is causing it isn't going to last. Trump's economic growth was promised to be 3% and higher for multiple years. The best he got to was 2.9% (a high Obama reached) and that was with lower than usual (for positive GDP growth times) interest rates, huge deficit spending, and massive deregulation. There are huge bubbles in consumer credit, auto loans, student debt and various other credit cycles that aren't sustainable and unlike 2008 the interest rates are being held low which means that the stimulative effect of lowering rates will not be in the feds tool box come a possible recession. We have seen this script play out in 2008. Deregulation and sugar high tax cut deficit driven growth will always come with a big crash. When you don't have demand increases to justify expanding business your growth will be based on buyback and dividend increases funded by tax cuts. But once the tax burden gets normalized there is no room to grow. With the money from Trump's tax cuts and the increase to the military budget alone the US could have forgiven student debt, financed public college for all, and partially funded a infrastructure overhaul bill. All things that would have had a true stimulative long sustained impact on the economy. Instead we just juiced the stock market for a couple of years.

Using Median numbers is highly misleading. When factoring in inflation the real gain for workers under the Trump economy has been 1.1% compared to the average of 1% under Obama from 2011 to 2016 when the Recession ended. I would also challenge that if you took the temperature of the income gains, stock market performance, and GDP gains in 2006 under George W Bush he would have looked pretty dam good under those measures. But the cost of unfunded tax cuts and deregulation (along with a new factor low interest rates in positive economic times) always come with a bust cycle that is harsh. And because interest rates are so low (and only going lower) when the bust comes there is no soft cushion of lowering rates to help ease the bottoming out. They are having to lower rates now just to get above 2% GDP growth. QE and low rates might not solve the next very painful Recession. I really don't give a ***** about respect form the national media. Get fat on these bad teams and by hell or high water get to 9-2 going into that brutal 4 game stretch. In order for this team to turn around their perception and culture I think they desperately need to get to 10 wins and a playoff spot. If it is solely done on beating up bad teams fine. That's how most teams get to 10+ wins anyway is by beating up on bad teams and teams they should beat.

Photoshop is a hell of a tool. Back in my single days I got fooled by a girl who used a combo of old photos and photoshopped photos and well lets just say that you can only fake so much in person.

I was on the Star is overpaid but does his role bandwagon but the run defense up the middle is what it is when he is on the field. I can see cutting him next year.

Make up, hair and lighting can be a big difference maker too. But honestly I don't really care that people get surgery to look better. As long as it looks good and you can afford it I don't see the big deal. However I will say that more often than not a lot of people who get plastic surgery will eventually go overboard with it. I dated a girl who got her boobs done at 23 and they looked good (she went from A to C cup) had she simply stopped there she would have looked great. But I saw her last year at age 28 she looked like a 40 year old Orange County Cougar. So much filler and botox along with an unnecessary nose job. I think a lot of women need to realize that botox and fillers are for when you are older looking. If you get them in your 20's or early 30's it makes you look older.

She clearly got a nose job, her jaw done and fillers. You can look at video of her in college and yeah she isn't bad looking but you can notice that her nose is much bigger, her jawline is different and her cheeks filled less. I really wouldn't have cared but I think she called someone out on twitter for their looks and every comment was mentioning the surgery she got. It doesn't in my opinion invalidate her but it is something funny to me esp given how many fawn over her looks.

I have seen people on twitter with blue check marks that have 2k followers. The purpose of the whole Twitter check mark is for people famous enough to be impersonated. Someone with 2k followers is probably not someone with a large enough following to be impersonated. Bottom-line the Twitter check mark is meaningless, they hand those things out like candy now. As for Tomi she definitely would be jealous of AOC's looks if she didn't get that plastic surgery (seriously check out her "before" photo, woof.)

The teams two biggest needs outside of resigning some of their own talent to extensions or outright are WR1 and a prime time pass rushing DE. Unless Amari Cooper hits the market I don't see a true WR1 hitting free agency. But there do appear to be some quality edge rushers that might be on the market and the Bills will have the space to responsibly add a big time pass rusher while not jeopardizing their ability to resign and extend their own talent both in 2020 and beyond. Luckily the 2020 NFL draft does appear to be a good one for WR's according to those who track draft classes. So I think they can find good help at WR1 via the draft. Their other needs like a run stuffing DT and a OLB can be found for a more moderate price.

Trubisky is more than likely a bust. I thought they got him going to the point where he would be a startable QB on a good team. But he looks completely lost. I know the Bears supporting offensive talent has regressed but he shouldn't be that terrible. They are likely going to bring in a vet QB to "compete" with him next year and boot him out after declining that 5th year option.

31-24 Browns, away game against a talented underachieving team with a dual threat running back combo kind of makes me very nervous about the game. I hope I am wrong but I think the Bills will need to put up some points to win this game and the Bills offense can do that but I just don't think they will.

I think the "impact" of this signing could be a positive however I am not so sure this is such a slam dunk as many here are thinking. Liuget was a beast on the Chargers but got released off of an injury. Then he got signed by the Raiders but was so ineffective that he got released. I don't hate the signing as I am not sure who else was on the market that could be better. But I just don't see him as a savior for the run defense either. Hopefully he helps improve the run defense but I am not expecting that.

Josh has improved tremendously in the short and intermediate range, he has regressed somewhat with his downfield passing. I think weighing both elements of his game I would say he has improved overall. I am very curious to see how he improves or develops the rest of the way. Through 8 games he has already shown significant growth.

I thought he would still be an effective player as a Niner, zone corners can get away with a bit less athleticism with disciplined play and smarts. But I didn't think he would be a lock down corner again. I thought he would be a borderline pro-bowl type player for a few seasons but he is almost back to his Legion of Boom form.

I think they have to play Oliver on pass rush downs. I think honestly he is doing well on passing situations. But he is a bit of a liability in the rushing game. I think he can get eaten up by mauler guards. Now I do think that long term he can be a 3 down DT but he needs a full off-season of NFL strength and conditioning to beef up a bit without losing his quickness. I think if adds that little bit of size and strength he could be off to the races. I think at this point it is best to just rotate the other 4 DT’s on the early downs and short yardage situations while using Oliver on 3rdand 2ndand long situations.

I do love that this story is getting more attention.

On my eye test Spain has been decent but nothing fantastic. I think Feliciano has been much better.

They have an LB on the PS but they only have 5 LB's on the roster (3 starters 2 depth) kind of weird but they needed to make a move to strengthen the middle of the defense.

I love the fact that effort seems to have been made to address the issue.

Talent is a great start but talent alone doesn't win games. You first off need the right talent. As we learned with Rex you can't shoehorn in players better suited for a 4-3 into a 3-4. Secondly you need the coaching to properly prepare and train that talent. Finally you need a coach that builds a culture that helps overcome the struggles that any NFL team will encounter. The Browns don't have good coaching despite having a lot of pieces of individual talent on their roster.

I do agree that the NFL is going to avoid putting a team full time in Mexico for many reasons safety included. I think they will continue to play games there and market heavily there. But overall they won't want to make a full time commitment to that market until they prove they have the money in that market to support a full time team and the safety issues are mitigated more.

The NFL wants London badly. The UK and Mexico remain the NFL's best international growth opportunities. The NBA has China as a huge growth market. The MLB has Latin America and Japan. Even the NHL has Eastern Europe and Scandinavia as growth opportunities (and the NHL is of course huge in Canada.) The NFL has struggled to find an international audience until finding recent success and growth in the UK and Mexico. I think you can safely say that the Jags will sooner rather than later be moving to London. That's just the truth of the matter. I don't like it as I hate the early London games but the NFL needs that international growth to expand its revenue (The US market is oversaturated.) Mexico City would present less challenges but I think they don't have the same rabid fanbase as the UK (I would say the NFL would prefer to continue to build that more slowly before rushing a team there, but in 10 years expect that to be the big push.) Honestly London would present a huge logistical nightmare (I think they would have the team do 4 game home/away strips.) But it could be done. I hate the London games but the only way I think they could do it is if they added an extra bye week to the season (16 games in 18 weeks) and used the bye weeks to pad out the travel schedule either giving teams bye weeks in-between London games or out of London games. Adding a second bye just seems necessary and would improve player safety (more time for nagging injuries to heal.)
