  1. David Johnson hasn't been considering a top 3-5 back since 2016. I don't think he offers much value to that trade, esp on a big contract.
  2. Just because Houston has a dumbass GM that does stupid trades doesn't mean that every other GM Will just give away talent.
  3. Although the Bills paid retail so to speak for Diggs he is worth it in my opinion. First off he is on a very good deal for his level of production. And his deal is relatively easy to get out of after 2021. Secondly as much as I love McBeane with draft picks it wasn't like the team didn't have extra mid round picks to spare and pick 22 would have most likely been spent on a WR anyway. Why risk Josh Allen's development and the team's window to win on a rookie? When Diggs is a proven vet who immediately sets the WR1 tone for the next 3-4 seasons considering he turns 27 this season. Is it a risky move for Buffalo? Yes, but this is the season to take some risks. Last off-season the team was very prudent in making not too many splashy acquisitions in order to build a deep quality team. Well now that the foundation has been put in place you need to add those final few pieces.
  4. This is a very good signing. Addressing the pass rush with the loss of Shaq and a possible need there anyway. The deal unlike Shaq's deal is very easy to get out of after 1 season and is paying Addison for the production he is likely to do as opposed to speculating a significant improvement in production to justify a large free agency contract.
  5. I really wish the Bills traded pick 22 for him. Immediately would provide that stable WR1 for the next 3-4 seasons. Would completely change the dynamics of the offense and be worth a 18-20 million dollar contract.
  6. Reminds me of the Jets signing Mosley, Bell, and a couple of other high profile free agents only to miss on their O-line acquisitions and not have enough depth. I like what Miami is doing so far but they have a lot of work to do in order to build a real team.
  7. Miami is spending big but they are starting from a big deficit talent wise. I also think that they could be very top heavy like the Jets but lack depth and good drafting needed to compete.
  8. Big signings worked so well for the Jets
  9. Their O-line still needs some help despite signing Conklin and they need a few pieces on defense. However on paper if they can add at least one more O-line starter and another 1-2 pieces on defense they look to be in a good place on paper. But then again it is the Browns and this is all on paper.
  10. Chances are small. I wouldn't mind Bradham as this years EJ Gaines low risk reclamation project.
  11. Hopkins will only sting if the Bills don't do something substantial at WR. I thought Hopkins was a bit older than he was (like 29 or 30) not 28 in June. He has at least a handful of prime years left at a very reasonable rate. I honestly wouldn't have minded trading pick 22 for Hopkins. But if the Bills trade for Diggs or make another good move. I think we will get over it.
  12. Good trade for the Niners. They weren't going to pay Bucker without having to let other players on that defense go. Now they get pick 13 to try and restock the defense with a young cheap player or they can trade down and get some picks back to restock their draft. Indy gets a good player but they eat into their cap space and lose their best draft asset.
  13. Hopkins would have been a no brainer I fully agree (Personally hoping for a Diggs trade.) Even for a second round pick plus the 12.5 million Hopkins would have been worth it. Conklin I can have either way, he is coming off of a great year and had a fantastic rookie year. However he wasn't as effective and struggled with injuries year two and three. I also like the Ford/Ty combo. As much ***** as Ford got last year he finished the year much better after Ty got hurt. Hooper to me isn't worth the money. I think he is great in Atlanta where Julio and Ridley make things open for him. I don't think Hooper would work here as I don't think he is as dynamic a weapon in circumstances where he isn't the third target out there. However I think you are also playing backwards from the pre-determined outcome. You don't know if Conklin would have cost 14-15 to come to Buffalo and if Hooper would have cost more too. It's easy to look back with hindsight and say they should have done X or Y. I trust McBeane fully as a lot of people doubted their moves last off-season and most of those were good.
  14. Your math is a bit off. Kroft makes 4 million, Smith 2.5ish that's well short of Hooper's contract. Ty and Long falls way short of Conklin too. I also wouldn't go out calling McBeane cheap and a moron just yet. Plenty of good quality players and "Big Names" left out on the market.
  15. Jordan Howard would be a solid addition to team. It's not a ground breaking high priority need but a road grater short yardage back is good to have and Howard would both come cheap and be effective.
  16. They rolled over a lot of cap space over a lot of years. The Giants also paid out OBJ's bonus which helped.
  17. Trent is an overpay too. Just because Trent is overpaid doesn't justify over paying Shaq.
  18. Shaq at 10 million per year? Pass, not a tragic over pay but a significant one. I think you are just paying on speculation at that point.
  19. Gave the Bills two good seasons fairly cheap. Dude has never had a big contract so I can't blame him for getting as much as he can.
  20. I think he get 4 years 40 million. Not from the Bills but from another team.
  21. Campbell is coming off of a 6.5 sack season, he will be 34 years old at a position where declines happen around 32/33, and he is a 15 million dollar cap hit. Not saying this isn't a good move for the Ravens but it comes with risks. If the Jags use that cap space wisely and then Campbell is shot this is a home run for the Jags.
  22. Cam Newton was a bigger running QB and he got worn down.
  23. The Titans line was also banged up and other starters were out, I wouldn't put it as a knock on Mitch.
