Cincy better get a number one pick in 2021 from Miami in this deal. Pick 1 for 5, 18, and 26 along with mid round picks isn't good enough value. If I were Cincy I would in a heartbeat take picks 5, 18, and 26 along with Miami or Houston's 2021 1st and Miami's 5th in 2020. I think Burrow is more of a Sam Bradford type QB, low ceiling high floor type QB. In a lot of drafts like 2018 he wouldn't be the top pick. If you can get 3 premium selections plus pocket a future 1st and get a mid-round pick or two tossed for a good but not great QB prospect I would take it. Cincy should just avoid drafting a QB and set their sights on building a more complete roster with that boat load of picks. And having an extra first in 2021 gets you another ticket at drafting Trevor Lawrence.

I thought from a competitive standpoint the 12 out of 32 with byes for the top 2 in the conference was a perfect playoff format that valued the regular season, finishing high in your conference and not making it too difficult to make the playoffs but not too easy. I also don't think that adding 2 more games to wildcard weekend is really going to draw that many more eyes. Saturday and Sunday already have 2 games each that weekend, does having a 3rd game each day really do anything for the casual fan who probably doesn't want to watch 9.5 hours a day of football in back to back days? I think that much like Thursday night football overexposure and fatigue is a real thing. The Thursday game is only really liked by some hardcore fans and isn't worth the overexposure and watering down of the product. The playoffs having 6 games in one weekend is just overkill and something that will only appeal to hardcore fans. I wish the NFL would just pour more effort into expanding into other markets (which they do but they could be doing a better job of) as opposed to overexposing their product in their most profitable market.

In my mind I hope a good DE is there at pick 54. Edge rush is such an older group for far too critical a position.

Mac brings speed to the offense and in the NFL speed alone can make a couple of plays here and there. Speed is also something you can design specific plays around which adds a small dimension to the offense. To me he is a solid gadget play guy. 2 to 3 touches a game with some sweep fakes and other diversions thrown in.

The NFL should focus their efforts on growing the sport in the UK, Germany and Mexico as opposed to over expanding it in the USA. Sad to see the short sighted corporate thinking that these owners are engaged in.

No such thing as a lock in the NFL. Injuries are too far of a variable to ever say any team is a lock. BUT if the team stays relatively healthy and Allen doesn't regress significantly I don't see how the team would not get to 9 wins and a likely playoff spot. However I do hate the new playoff format. 1 bye and 3 wildcards is stupid. The old format was perfect, it weighted the regular season perfectly and had the right amount of teams make it.

Call me crazy but I side with the players putting their health and well-being on the line over billionaires playing with a toy they acquired. I agree that we can't jump to conclusions but I think it would likely be the 32 billionaires who would try and pull a fast one over a union of players in the several hundreds with more scattered priorities and representation.

The thing that stands out to me about the construction of the roster is that there is no glaring weakness and both lines have excellent depth. I think for the first time in a long time the draft is needed only purely to address depth along the roster. Even in 2015 after a strong off-season with a great defense in place (At that point we hadn't known how poorly Rex would ***** the defense) and a lot of additions to the offense the team still had issues along the right side of the offensive line and the plan at QB was unclear. But in 2020 going into the draft I don't see any massive non-depth needs on the roster. I think DE, WR, RB, DB, and LB units could have more depth and youth but overall I don't see the glaring needs that exist. My ideal draft would be to take a good DE in round 2 to round out the D-line and add some youth to a mostly older unit (Outside of Ed and Henry Phillips there isn't much younger players there) and then take a WR in round 3 (No depth behind BBD and Beasley and Brown are North of 30) and a RB in round 4. With their 5th round pick they can find a CB, Safety, or LB just to add some depth there. I don't think they need depth along the O-line (You have 4 legit backups there and you can always sign Waddle to compete in camp) or at TE (I think TE is a somewhat weak spot on the roster but I am fine with it.) Overall the construction of the roster is great.

I don't get this love of Herbert and a post injury Tua. Burrow is a legit good QB prospect but in a lot of drafts he wouldn't be a top prospect (Would he be the number one QB take in the 2018 draft and ahead of Murray in 2019?) But if the Fins big coup is to get Herbert or Tua with a serious injury then I think the Bills are safe long term from the Fins.

Their "Tanking" last year was a smart idea in that they have smartly accrued draft capital in a way that puts them in position to both have cap space to acquire useful veteran players and prime players while also having a boat load of picks to get a QB and other key parts. BUT it is all for naught unless they get a QB. Right now they just replaced their old vets for new ones and it is a marginal upgrade from their talent level in years past. However they have the draft picks to go and get a QB. But unless you feel the Burrow is a truely transcendent QB at the top of the draft then you are either going to have to punt your QB selection to 2021 (Where you still have an additional 1st thanks Houston) OR take your chances on Tua or Hubert neither of whom spark a lot of excitement for me. I think that if they draft Hubert or Tua they will just be spinning their wheels as a 6-8 win team for the next 2-4 years before they tear it all down again. IF they trade up for Burrow I think they still would be a year away but they would at least have a chance in 2 years at being a strong contending team.

Miami is doing a lot of what they did in the previous 15-20 years. Lots of big name free agent signings in one off-season. I am not really impressed with it. Yes they have collected talent in a lot of ways and they have good draft capital but unless they can get a good young QB that team has 7 wins written all over it.

I would tend to agree with that. I think they will be able to run their games on TV at the very least without more than a months delay to the season. BUT things can change so much in 10 weeks so we don't really know what the status of everything will be come mid-June. Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

Growing up in the 90's these are some of the movies that I really enjoyed as a kid. Original Star Wars Trilogy. ET Pee Wee's Big Adventure (might have some scary/mature content by kids standards) Space Jam Goonies Batman 1989 (and Batman Returns if you don't mind more mature content) The Sandlot I could think of some more but those are just off the top of my head. I also would recommend checking out some 90's kids TV shows. 90's Nickelodeon shows like Pete and Pete, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Hey Arnold, and the like are all really good and hold up as a good watch. I would also recommend some other shows from that era like Animanics, Pinky and the Brain, Tiny Toons, Batman the Animated Series, X-Men Animated Series, and Recess.

The situation is very very fluid. I think the NFL is the only sports league with the luxury of time luckily. They can postpone OTA's and hold the draft in a minimal manner in the meantime while not making any final decisions on the season until mid-June. Right now time is a good luxury to have for the NFL. Hopefully in 10 weeks they have a better model to when regulations will relax.

They don't need to pick a RB in round 2 or 3. Good RB's can be found in rounds 4 or 5. I would love this team to eye Edge in round 2 and WR in round 3 (they need depth behind Diggs, Beasley, and Brown plus they need some youth at the position, they are one injury away from the offense being last years offense) or even CB with one of those picks over RB. With Singletary and Yeldon RB is more of a role player need than a I must have it filled at pick 54 type need. Singletary is a good RB, Yeldon is a solid 3rd down depth back. They need an early down grinder which I think you can find in round 4 or 5. Whereas the need to secure another upgrade to the pass rush off the edge and get younger behind a very old group is much more pressing and hard to fill. Adding a good WR behind the big 3 to get younger and depth is also more pressing. RB is not a need you can't fill later in the draft.

I think Burrow is a good QB prospect but not a true blue chip number one QB prospect in my mind. IF this version of Burrow came out in the 2018 draft where would he be drafted? I don't see him going over Darnold and Baker. If Miami were offering me 5, 18, 26, and a 2021 1st along with some mid-round selections in 2020 and 2021 I would seriously consider it if I were Cincy. For one you put yourself in a great position for the 2021 Lawrence draft by having Miami's first round pick in your back pocket and you get a chance to fundamentally build a more sound roster by having 6 picks in the top 107 as well as more mid-round picks to trade up or add more. Cincy's roster is completely in need of an overhaul and having picks 5, 18, 26, 33, 65, and 107 would be a good place to start building back up their roster in a more complete way. They would also have two first round picks in 2021 which gives them a lot of flexibility to move up and get a QB in 2021. I can see Cincy making that trade if they think Burrow isn't a truly elite QB prospect or he really doesn't want to go there.

The NFL has the luxury of time luckily. They can wait until June to make any major decisions and see how the landscape of things look then. Unlike the NBA, MLB, or NHL the current public health situation isn't extending into their current on going seasons. The NFL doesn't have to make any major decisions (other than having the draft changed to avoid crowds) for nearly 10 weeks and in a situation as fluid as this time to digest what the landscape is before you have to make any major decisions is such a huge luxury and helpful tool. If I had to guess a likely delay of a month is possible if this crisis impacts things in July but things can change so much.

I think Tyrod is wrong (He is more of a caretaker QB who can make some plays with his legs) but I do hope nothing but the best for him. I know fans here like to treat him like a complete ####### because he wasn't the long term answer at QB but Tyrod was in my opinion the best QB of the drought era and was the QB that ended the drought. So many fans here were clamoring for Peterman to replace Tyrod in 2017 because of how good he looked in the Pre-Season (Yeah that's how delusional the hate of Tyrod was.) I will always root for Tyrod as he was the QB that ended the drought and provided solid QB play for 3 years going slightly above .500 in doing so. I don't know how any Bills fan can honestly hate Tyrod or think of him as a joke. We all should be rooting for him to some extent. I know this board has a chronic hate of all things Tyrod but I honestly hope that as time goes on he does get remembered as the QB that broke the drought and bridged the Rex to McBeane eras.

I think they viewed Phillips as a prime third rotational DT. He was a liability in the rush defense but he was a dam fine disrupter and good pass rusher up the middle. I think the they thought of him more as a high end rotational player and valued him at their price (Which was reported to be 8 million aav) and they got outbid on the open market. They then basically took that 8 million and gave it to Jefferson who in my opinion is a better more complete and versatile player. So I think it worked out better for everyone, the Bills spent the money they were willing to spend on Phillips on a better player while Phillips got paid by a team that needed him badly. Overall it was more of less just name your price and they stuck to what they thought was reasonable.

He had 8, 1000 yard seasons in a 16 year career. Even in his 16th season he was still a solid player. He is for sure a HOF player even if he is a douche.

I tend to listen to what health experts and scientists are saying. And they are worried in the short term about flattening the curve so that health services are less overwhelmed while long term there are so many projections that could be both bad and less bad. Hope for the best prepare for the worst. I do hope that we have football and a sense of normalcy by September.

They will have a lot of time to decide and reassess the situation in June. Everything is fluid and things keep changing. The NFL has the luxury of time as in 2.5 months the situation is just so unknown.

I never have any issue investing more resources into an Offensive line. Yes in a capped league you have to be reasonable but overall I think you win and lose games in the trenches (as QB play is most dominantly impacted by O-line/D-line play.) Injuries always happen and you need to have at least 2 if not preferably 3 or 4 high quality versatile backup offensive linemen. Between Ty, Long, Bates, and the loser of the RT battle the Bills have successfully procured the ideal depth along an offensive line needed.

They also signed Connor McGovern from Denver who is a very underrated center and Josh Andrews from the Colts who is decent depth. Not saying they completely fixed their O-line but Van Rotten and McGovern should start for them and their depth improved at the interior and if they can add another starter via the draft their O-line will at least be a respectable unit unlike last year where it was a complete mess. The Jets also sport a decent defense (love the Poole signing for them) and I think that Darnold with a decent O-line and some weapons could put together a upper mid-level NFL offense. I don't think of the Jets as world beaters but with an improved O-line and less injuries they could easily be a tough out that gets to .500 or better.

The Jets added a lot of quantity along their O-line, Van Rotten and other mid-level to lower mid-level guys were added. Which I think is a better approach than they had last offseason where they added 2 big signings (Kalil and Osemele) but had little depth. I think their approach this off-season was a lot more prudent and a lot more focused on areas of need and depth than last off-season. IF the Jets have a good draft adding a quality WR at the top and adding another quality O-linemen in round 2 and hit on some depth in the rest of the draft I think they can be a competitive team 8-9 win team. Last year the Jets won 7 games (6 plus the game at the end of the season where the Bills were resting the starters and it was still a close game) and that was with Darnold having mono missing 3 games and a lot of other injuries. Now I would argue that the Jets were poorly constructed from a depth perspective which contributed to their issues but they seem to have at least addressed their O-line depth issue and made some decent defensive signings. What in my mind kills the Jets is the coaching. Gase is a huge anchor around the neck of the team it is embarrassing. What a trash hire. BUT I wouldn't write off the Jets as being decent competition within the division.
