  1. Lamar I would commit to. He is a good QB he just doesn’t have a ton of talent around him skill position wise. He has his limitations but he is dynamic in other ways. They have won with him fairly consistently. But Baker I let him play out on the 5th year option and see what he has. Thus far he has been very injury prone and inconsistent.
  2. Some regression in passing numbers but improvement in rushing. If this is what Josh is on an average year sign me up. However I think he only learns from this season. He broke out in 2020 and teams adjusted to that in 2021 and Josh still had a great season. But he needs to iron out the few bumps he had in 2021. Which I think he can and will in 2022.
  3. Living on the West Coast now and it is a mixed blessing. 10 am games are odd but prime time games getting done by 830ish instead of close to midnight is pretty solid.
  4. The Bills winning by running the ball is a big confidence booster. Definitely should have been a blowout wire to wire but turnovers let Atlanta hang around. But they overcame Josh’s worst throwing game of the season and turned it into a comfortable 2 possession win. Clinching the playoffs and putting a second straight division title a home game win away.
  5. He is coming back for one more season even if that happens. He signed a multi year contract extension in his mid forties haha!
  6. I would say that 1st round picks have been mostly good. Groot hasn’t been bad for a rookie jury still out. Diggs was acquired primarily by a first round pick and that has paid off. Ed Oliver in my opinion is a very good player on this defense and I expect him to be a key cog in the defense going forward. Josh Allen was obviously a great first round pick and I know everyone like to pick on Edumonds but I think Edumonds has been a good player for the defense. Second round picks are another issue. 2018 they didn’t have one but Cody Ford has yet to pan out, AJ Epenesa has not done much and Boogie has been at best decent as a rookie role player. Hopefully the second round pick issue is more just bad luck than anything else.
  7. A good running game against a bad Falcons defense is not killing the idea that this team may not be able to run on consistently better defense or stop the run against better running offenses.
  8. Looking at McD’s record the past 5 years it is very impressive. Four playoff appearances in Five years, three double digit win seasons in a row, one division title (while being one win away from a second), a pair of playoff victories and the development of a young franchise QB. I am really trying to think of the last time a organizational turn around of this nature had occurred in the NFL. Maybe the Saints when Sean Payton and Brees came on board? The Saints were pretty hapless from 1993 to 2005. They had just one playoff season and were either bad or consistently under achieving in the Haslet era in the early to mid 2000’s. I can’t think of another more recent turn around of a team from being bad for a long time to a sustained run of success in the past 10ish years.
  9. I wouldn’t hate some light form of a draft lottery in the NFL but I don’t think tanking is that big of an issue in the NFL that a draft lottery is necessary.
  10. You can’t blame the Colts, they had no clue Luck who was proven and just 29 years old would retire after one season. They traded down picking up a pair of second round picks and got a great guard they thought would help protect a good young QB in his prime for the rest of his prime. It was the right move you just can only predict so much. Teams 1 to 5 have to feel like idiots.
  11. I am not going to call him a bust just yet but it’s not looking good. I know there are a lot of vets and a recent 1st round pick ahead of him but he can’t crack this deep rotation it shows what the coaching staff thinks of him thus far. Still time to work on himself the rest of this season, the off-season and camp next season to try and figure it out. But this team needs to figure out AJ sooner rather than later.
  12. I would count Diggs as a first round pick. That being said the draft investment has been heavier on the defensive side early for sure. I do expect it to change in 2022 as the Bills are likely to spend a first on the offensive line.
  13. Ike played solid to end 2020 but up until the last game or so in 2021 he looked like a backup player out there. It always sucks to see someone get hurt esp such an underdog story like Ike. Hopefully he is able to recover and get his career back on track
  14. Bills just have to take care of the Falcons worry about the rest later.
  15. IF the Bills are to make a deep playoff run like the Giants in 07 and 11 then a few things have to come together in my opinion. 1- Win the division. I am not looking past a decent Falcons team and a Jets team that while not great is still an NFL team capable of an upset. Having a home playoff game to start things out is critical in the playoffs. 2- Hitting the right matchups. Football is one and done so the Bills would likely want to avoid teams that they don't matchup with well. The only teams that really "scare" me in the AFC are the Colts (just a matchup nightmare in my opinion) and the Chiefs. Not matching up with the Colts in the playoffs and not seeing KC until a AFCCG rematch might be the best path. 3- Good luck with Covid and injuries. Covid is a B word. Not having a major outbreak is going to be a major factor in the playoffs sadly. Injuries as usual are also going to be a factor before and during the playoffs. If they can have those three factors going then it is just a matter of getting some good calls and playing hot at the right time.
  16. It's almost like people on here are reactionary and prisoners of the moment? Mac had the game of his career and people immediately think that is repeatable every game. Beasley has shown to be a much more consistent player and deserves to get back into the lineup. But Mac should be used more too. I would say give Sanders less snaps as the WR4 and give more of those snaps to Mac. Beasley has still been fairly productive this season and Josh has a high level of comfort with him.
  17. This thread is so insanely foolish especially after yesterday's win (even with a loss yesterday it still is foolish). The Bills from 2000-2016 had two winning seasons (a pair of 9-7 seasons in 2004 and 2016) and zero playoff appearances. From 2017-2021 the Bills have 3 playoff appearances (and working on a 4th one), a pair of playoff victories, a division title (and working on a second one) 4 winning seasons, and have successfully developed a franchise QB for the first time since Jim Kelly. Also, the defense What more do you want from a coach and organization? Yes, if this team repeatedly falling short in the playoffs or enduring a bad stretch of seasons then eventually you have to try and move on from a coach. But McD has not shown any of those just yet.
  18. It was a solid performance. They gave up 21 points which isn’t great but isn’t bad either. They got the stops that mattered most and they didn’t give up any quick scores either. But they also couldn’t shut the door either even in the red zone and the pass rush and run defense wasn’t great either. It was a good enough performance a B or B- effort.
  19. It’s hard not to love Josh. He is such a likable player. Both in terms of his personality and style of play. Here is hoping the Bills can put the team around Josh to get him a Super Bowl!
  20. If that’s the case then add the Saints to teams with a winning record the Bills beat so 5 out of 9 wins by that metric are against winning teams.
  21. If Miami wins on Monday 4 of the Bills 9 wins will have come against teams with a winning record.
  22. I think it is a combo of lesser O-line play, play calling, and teams adjusting their schemes.
  23. I don't hate the idea since this team is going to be pretty desperate at WR with Beasley and Davis out. Brown could step in and give the team something as a 4th option.
  24. I am, its been a very up and down season football wise and Covid (just in football terms) is very very annoying and frustrating. But it is still football and the Bills are still having a good season. So I can't complain too much.
  25. Looking at the Bills cap situation for 2022 I think they should be able to keep up a highly competitive team again. The Bills don't have many key free agents (Levi and Harrison Phillips being the only ones of true consequence) and while the cap space might not be that much but there is certainly fat on the roster they can cut to make room to get some space. The Bills should be able to do some modest cuts and restructurings to save 20-40 million which should give the team enough space to resign Levi and possibly Harrison Phillips while adding a mid-level free agent or two and then via the draft the team can address larger needs.
