10/13/2025 Bills at Falcons - 1st half game thread

Our Defense is an embarrassment -
This was the 3rd time I watched at least part of a Giants game. From what I’ve observed, I think Daboll is under immense pressure, to the point, that his behavior on the sideline appears to be verging on the neurotic.

I think, if Beane doesn't bring in a quality CB , within the next 2 weeks, he is guilty of dereliction of duty. Hopefully, the Pat's game has shown Beane that our secondary is lacking the talent necessary to a serious defense. With Hairston and Strong out, Tre White a shadow of his former self, Beane has to trade for a top CB. The price will undoubtely be high, but not fortifing the CB spot will, in my opion. tank the season.

How Sad. Just another light turned-off in WNY. -
Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone

Unless the defense takes a positive turn, Our chances of making it to the Super Bowl will require Josh and company to score north of 30 points game in and game out. -
Bills have a winning record with the Jets. They have a losing record against both Miami and New England. However, the Bills can even the record with Miami, combining regular season and playoff games, by sweeping Miami this season.

WOW!!! McDermott must be losing sleep over his secondary.

This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, that public money will be used to support private enterprise. The hope is that the money was well spent for the greater good of the community. Let's hope the new stadium generates additional private development, creating growth for the region. That being said, I believe the public investment in a new stadium for Western New York makes sense. However, I think what would have made a better use of public money would have been to increase the investment and build the stadium in Buffalo with a dome.

Based on the guaranteed amount in this agreement, and not knowing the specifics of the contract, it appears to me to be a 7.5 mil/yr deal with incentives. I wish Spector good luck and hope he finds a new team.

I thought it was a little boring, and I'm glad it was. I don't want to see anything that could be a distraction from the preparation for the season. That being said, I doubt Hard Knocks will keep the rest of the episodes as vanilla.
-
Very Good!! Didn't want to see a holdout over something that will soon be the norm in the NFL. With college football going from amateur to professional status, I envision the first three rounds of draftees receiving fully guaranteed rookie contracts. Who knows, maybe all draftees will get fully guaranteed rookie contracts.

Dalton Kincaid/Keon Coleman.....over/under 119.5 combined receptions???
gjv replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would hope each would be in the 80 reception range, along with 3 other receivers. -
Will gambling ruin the NFL and sports in general?
gjv replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I doubt gambling will ruin the NFL. I can see a scandal or two happening, but they will probably bring in some type of reform and all will move on. On the other hand, if CTE isn’t handled effectively, I can envision the elimination of the three point stance, and the NFL eventually becoming a flag football league. -
What Are You Most Excited About This Coming Season?
gjv replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sweeping Miami and tying the overall record. -
I believe we are starting to see the run game become more prominent. Unless all the teams believe all running backs are relatively equal, we will begin to see running back contracts become more lucrative.

Former Panther Alert: Bills sign Shaq Thompson LB!
gjv replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Thompson is healthy and can play at his high level, this is a terrific signing. -
If I were a GM, I would be banging the desk to hire the best group of scouts money could buy. A GM's career primarily hinges on the talent he brings to the team, either through the Draft or free agency. I would not be pinching pennies with this group.

I'm not sure in today's NFL, Cook is a 15 mil/yr back. But I do believe that the Pro Bowl player on our offense with the 2nd most touches of the ball, 2nd most TD's, 3rd most receptions, and rushed for over 1000 yards is worth at least Josh Palmer and Khalil Shakir money. That would put him at a minimum in the 12 mil/yr, 60 mil 4-year contract range.

Pitts wants to be paid based on his college statistics and measurables. Atlanta wants to pay him based on his performance over the last three years in the NFL. I don't think Beane would want to take on this negotiation.
