  1. He only started 1 full season That was a factual response, full of facts and everything Any one of us could be GM of the Lions or the Jets, so what's your point?
  2. lol Newton? In that one year, he scored 51 TDs (30 passing, 20 rushing--running for 1500 yards, and 1 receiving) and won a National Championship. you couldn't have made a poorer comparison. Well maybe not teams, but certainly no less than TBD's favorite idiot savant, Chris Simms does
  3. Lawrence's "dilemma" is that everyone saw him play nearly every Saturday for years--we saw him rack up tons of wins, yet after his first year, he seemed to come up small in the biggest game. People expected 3 straight from him and Clemson. Wilson benefitted form the relative obscurity (who's watching other than parents, alumni and gambling addicts) of BYU football. Plus he's never played in a big game.
  4. The kid could be the real deal. who knows? But the Jets is the worst place for him. Those fans won't wait long....
  5. Yeah, ol what's his name! Picking a one full season college starter who no one heard of a year ago at #2...what could go wrong?? (asking for a Bears fan)
  6. Good for him. And it cost Carolina nothing
  7. I'm "pushing for" no public funds for a billionaire's new home. All taxpayers should be pushing for the same thing. I don't therefore have a preference domed or not. They can stay in the perfectly functional stadium they are in now. Pegs can spring for a doll-up of the place if he wants.
  8. Season ticket holders will pay more of course--they are the primary beneficiaries of a fancy new stadium outside of the team. But that's a tiny sliver of the total number of fans. The rest of the fans will only pay more if they go to a game. Those watching at home/bar/etc---No change, if Pegula pays for the stadium without public money. I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say fans will "pay dearly".
  9. He had no problem getting all over Okafor....after he had decked Josh, pec be damned. But I agree, if the Bills are to beat them as is, Ford and Edmunds need to get to next level. Epenesa was an afterthought all season, not sure how he changes the game. Also agree, Need to hit it in the draft with a real playmaker or 2.
  10. They beat the Falcons. The bye is nice. Still would have been Bills v KC in the AFCC game. Brown was done (but his legend endured). Yeah, having 100% Beasely and Brown (or a decent TE) would have helped. But the Chiefs crushed the O-line. And the D gave up the game in the 2nd Q and put it out of reach in the 3rd. Who knows what's left of Star. Guy has sat around for year and a half. Feliciano is shaky.
  11. The Falcons was a meaningless game, and serves no point in this discussion. It's like pointing out that the Jets held the Bills to zero TDs and Josh to 7 ypa. So what? The Bills gameplan v KC should have included "don't let D line blow by you over and over", so, yeah, maybe it was all gameplan...
  12. Like the "Buffalo Billion"? Most legislatures will point to that disaster and say no to more money for something as trivial as another stadium. Which state funding decisions did fans vote on?
  13. Well....it was the one game (and team) that kept them out of the SB. How does the same Bills team beat them in the next AFCC game? You seemed to have skipped detail that when you posted your 'big deal, one game' themed thread.
  14. lol--let me dust off the VCR and pop in those tapes from 3 years ago! Minnesota (twice) and TCU had no problem with him. Nebraska last year turned him into a dump off WR.
  15. The counter argument would be that he brought back the same team that couldn't stop Mahomes, Kelce and Hill, and allowed Kelce to catch so many passes.
  16. He was PB his first season as Eagles starter and they made the playoffs. Had career highs for passing and rushing TDs in only 12 games.
  17. "Bite the bullet, take the hit now, and foot the bill for a new venue so we can avoid throwing more money away down the line." Why should Bills fans be stuck paying for this? That should bother anyone. Leave the fans out of that "we". Non-fan taxpayers as well.
  18. He had a very good Freshman season. How can you say he was one of the best WRs in the country when he was on the field after that? He just wasn't. This past year he had 7.7 per catch. In 2 games (he only played 3) he had a total of 28 catches and still under 200 combined yards! Those are check down numbers, no playmaker stats (forget about "one of the best whenever he's on the filed"). The year before he played 4 games and had 25 and 17 yards in 2 (5 total catches) of them. He's had 2 good games since 2018. Since 2018, there nothing special about this undersized, injury prone guy who was pretty easy to cover his past 2 years of 7 games.
