  1. That's 1 NFL WR making that. Only 5 guys over 30M. Despite "setting the market" at 40 million, the next highest 2025 contracts were 33M (Metcalf), 28.7 (Higgins), 22M (Adams), etc. Right now Chase is an outlier, like Barkley--who "reset the RB market" (so I read here) at 20M (7% of cap). No other RB has gotten close to that in new (2025) contracts.
  2. while the team in St Louis seems to draw the biggest crowds (4ok sometimes) there are games pulling in just over 2000 fans in the stands. Where are they supposed to put a game like that? High school fields? Unfortunately in this case "the networks" aren't simply the broadcasters of this sport, they are part owners of the league. so they have to fund the league with their own "TV money". it's a poor model
  3. while it's true that RBs share of the cap has not kept pace with the increase in cap, WRs AAV has. OBJ's AAV was 10.1% of the 2018 cap. 30 million AAV for today's WR is 10.7% of the cap. No inflation there, just keeping pace.
  4. hard to believe it was possible, but ratings actually dropped from last season---by a whopping 20%. how long will ABC/ESPN/Fox hang in there with this?
  5. you are simply providing a math equation. in his last year in Buffalo, for instance, Davis would have had over 1500 yards with 160 targets. Last year McConkey would have had 2300 yards, Jameson Williams would have had 2750! so, yes, I agree that 160 targets X 8.21 yards per target = 1313 yards. not a point worth making
  6. This has nothing to do with what you posted and what I followed up with.. but since you brought it up, Saleh was one of the most clueless NFL HC's since Hue Jackson. Jets had to let him go as he was drowning in his own incompetence.
  7. putting aside his 4 MVP's, his 4 1st team All Pros, 10 Pro Bowls, SB ring and 1st ballot HOF career....he missed his 1st year with a devastating injury for an old man, but came back last year and was #8 in yards and TDs behind a nonexistent O-line. well played, sir...
  8. 160 targets for Shakir? hey why not 200! a grand total of 2 NFL WRs had 160 or more targets last year. There is no reality where he would get 160 on the Bills or any other team in the league. These extrapolation exercises are alway pointless.
  9. This guy thirsts so hard to come off as this complex, inscrutable, profound deep thinker. He’s actually just incredibly shallow and dull. A big draw for the Pat McAfee crowd
  10. no chance that would be true.
  11. These college teams have massive facilities, unrestricted budgets and support systems. The coaching is far better. The QBs in the UFL are awful.
  12. Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, etc would destroy any of these teams.
  13. an entire football watching nation would likely disagree this is true.
  14. Hamlin and Rapp have each been through 4 and 6 preseason competitions, respectively... and they are what they are despite this. So it wouldn't follow that another preseason competition will make them better (you stated as much with Hamlin). Bishop may benefit I guess.
  15. does a higher salary make one a better scout?
  16. Starters are pretty much set, as are many depth guys from the previous season. The games are largely a bunch of back benchers and soon to be cut scrubs struggling to get a spot. Once the games end, 40% of the summer roster instantly disappears.
  17. Tomlin don't even care anymore---just cashing checks, daring poor old man Rooney to fire him.
  18. he will be at maxicamp
  19. "outsnapped"? lol, ok. let's run with that. 626 yards over 747 snaps for Sanders is 0.84 yards per snap. Compare to 549 yards over 410 snaps for Davis yielded 1.34 yards per--a whopping 59% difference in efficiency of utilization between the 2. Let's now add in that every pass Davis caught in 2021 (35) was either a TD or a 1st down. Compare that to Sanders, where 35 of 42 passes were TDs (fewer than Davis) or 1st downs. you will now conclude that Davis was a more efficient WR when he was in the game than Sanders--good work!
  20. you can sign up for any streamer for a month and cancel. out of area, there has never been one network that you could watch all of one team’s games
  21. Beane has an endless stack of 1 year contracts for guys about to exit the NFL
