  1. If Jackson was dumb enough to take the money, and now tell everyone he took it, he's opened himself to a massive suit by Browns fans for defrauding them.
  2. Imagine the excitement that a Dan Jones-Mitch Trubisky "QB competition" would bring to the Giants fandom and the local press....
  3. It was the simplest accurate response I could think of. The reason Sterling lost his team shares no similarity to this case, other than you and others calling for the owner to "lose his team". No one is taking away Ross's team for firing Flores and therefore bringing the number of black HC's to 1. He's accused (by Flores) of offering to pay Flores to have his team lose games, not having actually having paid a HC to lose games (that would be an interesting accusation for the paid-off coach to make, don't you think, given that is a crime?). If Flores has proof of the offer, Ross is in trouble. If he doesn't Flores is in trouble. Pretty simple.
  4. So if they had offered him the job beforehand but the Bills kept it secret, all good--no lawsuit?
  5. I thought Flores did a great job his first season and said so here at the time. COTY candidate. For the purposes of this discussion, it doesn't matter. Owners fire decent coaches and hire predictably bad coaches (looking at you Rex). Lots of owner are football morons. None of that comes into play. Flores could have more convincingly filed a suit against Ross for firing him after he wouldn't take money to tank. That would have been a chip shot. My guess is he didn't because he can't prove that. So he stuck it in his Bill of Particulars for the clicks.
  6. Let's not forget that Flores has only made these claims a few years later, after he was fired, and without (so far) proof.
  7. How did Ross convince 8 other owners not to hire Flores? Flores didn't the his firing graciously a few weeks ago. People took notice. In fact even here posters felt he was poisoning his chances at another job.
  8. Who knows? He says he was asked to do unsavory things as coach, yet he never mentioned them or quit over them.
  9. true. I was responding to the subject re: their relationship. That's not part of and lawsuit and they are free to comment as it would have no impact on pending litigation.
  10. Neither are party to the suit so they are free to comment on their relationship.
  11. Yup---and neither of them had any chance as the Bills clearly wanted Dorsey all along. Everyone here has been saying so for a week. Since there has been a Rooney Rule, this is how teams have dealt with it. It's not actionable.
  12. The Bills didn't interview a minority candidate for OC?
  13. What lost wages? They chose someone else. His civil rights were not violated in any way. He can't claim the Giants and certainly not the Dolphins "discriminated" against him. in fact, his complaint is that the Giants ONLY interviewed him because he is black
  14. So when does Frazier file his suit against the Giants?
  15. Perhaps the most awesome 11 line ever transcribed onto a legal document...
  16. They didn't interview any minority candidate before the offered the job to the (inside) guy they were going to hire all along?
  17. Look up why Sterling lost his team. Then get right back to us.
  18. 1. congress isn't going to mess with football. 2. he is alleged to offer him to pay to tank, not that he did pay him to do so (in which case Flores could also be charged).
  19. Frazier will tank the biggest game of the season, gratis.
  20. Why? Would are his damages? Flores was happy to exist in the Dolphins cesspool (such as it was) until he got canned---in fact, if he was hired by the Giants, he still wouldn't have said anything about it. Now he screams bloody murder--and sues. And if leagues are to get into the business of taking away teams that owners are tanking, when do the Sabres get taken?
  21. The BS in this suit can be smelled for thousands of miles! He's really suing because he feels he got a token Rooney interview?? Or is it because he was forced to eat dinner with Shoen? lol The numbers will easily tell us that nearly every Rooney interview is a sham (the Bills just had one for OC, no?), so there can be no suit since there is no damage here. If he truly "knew" Daboll had already been offered the job, he certainly was not "forced" to dine, nor did he "have" to give an interview. This only makes Flores, not the league, look bad---compounding his bizarre decision to dump on Tua his way out of Miami. This guy needs a new agent or perhaps adult supervision.
  22. Bills just hired their one Tom Moore....
