  1. Not to give a lazy answer, but it truly is a perfect amalgamation of everything...this offense is simply clicking on all cylinders, I'd say 85% of the time, every time! Thank Will in Anchor Man for that gem!
  2. You're forgetting something... Q: why are the Bengals a "Top 5" defense? A: The 3 teams they have played do not have an offense ranked in the top 25 of the league. (26th, 27th, and dead last...respectively).
  3. Dude, you can write 5,000 words on the differences between Chan in Dicky...
  4. Who cares...all that matters is the win loss column...at the end of the day, ours is better than all 3 of the "othe" teams in our division baby! Oh yeah!
  5. Is it as bad as the Madden cover for individual players?
  6. No! not even a nead to read this post.
  7. There is, simply, no rhyme or reason for this statement. This is a professional sports franchise, of course they expect to win every game. If they didn't, there would be no room on the squad for them. You don't go into a game thinking "maybe," or "we might not win this week, but..." There is no discussion here, move on...
  8. Ditto...just no more trimming. I'm letting it go wild.
  9. Hate to spoil your party, but that comment shows me that you don't know much about the play of a D Lineman my friend. Do you have any idea how hard it is to stay in front of the qb and stand tall while being doubled in the trenches? Obviously not. It was a tremendous play on his part, not just dumb luck.
  10. I told you I would skull bone you if you made the kick...what?
  11. Listen, I'm all about being a homer and supporting "my" guys...but, it's only week 3 and Chandler is virtually an unknown...maybe he'll turn out to be a stud, maybe not...we got 14 more weeks to find out.
  12. Honestly, I'm not trying to be argumentative but I think your a little off base. "The Firm" (Green Ellis) showed glimpses of what he could do last year with 1K on the ground, and that little sh*t Woodhead (not Woodhouse) is scrappy little guy. Simply, *NE is a pass first team, which they are very good at, so they've never needed to show a dependancy on the run...they just use it as a compliment and are pretty good at it popping off 4-8 yrds per attempt. I guess what i'm trying to say, is to not take their run game for granted, or we'll get burned. Just think of the opposite scenario from last week...we concentrated on McFadden, and an average, at best, Oakland pass attack smoked us a couple times. My #1 goal would be to pressure Brady up the gut and flush him out of the pocket. Lets face it, he's not exactly mobile, not enough to be on the run all day anyway. I'd like to see them take a page out of a high school basketball D with a "box & 1," where we have someone with their eye on Brady all day long.
  13. The only thing I want to hear is what he was saying at the end of the game to the O Line when he was trying to start a mosh pit with them...
  14. Did you ever watch Spiller in college?
  15. You're not nuts...I don't think he's playing possum, per say, but by design he's been a bit handcuffed to the edge, due to the concentration on stopping the run. We must be very careful not to pay close attention to it this week though as "The Firm" ain't no slouch!
  16. So, being a good sportsman & competitor makes you a classy guy!? Leets not forget the leadership qualities, a la "the Ochocinco incident." That's a guy doing right by his teammates and I'm not sure that exactly euates to classy either. OK, Brady is a great QB and great team leader, why do you think they all love him aand the *Pats are as good as they are? But, to call this guy classy is a giant overstatement! I'll leave you to the rest of the replies on this post to provide clear and convincing evidence that he is, in fact, a no class havn' deuuuuuusche!
  17. Agreed! What a good problem for a team to have!
  18. BLASPHEMY!!Plagarism, too! Dude...try posting something original, or at least properly cite your material! Deuuuuusche!
  19. Right on que...deuuuuuusche!!
  20. I thought Dray Flo & McKelvin were the starting CB's yesterday
  21. Pass on T.O. Unlike most, I still have a lot of love for T.O. but where does he fit in this Offense? I see a resurection of Roosevelt, and if need be Aiken, from the P.S. Really all depends on Stevie's groin...if he needs to sit a week, maybe 2. As for Parrish, IF roosevelt does get the call and performs as well as he did in the preseason, we may see Scoe IR'd...again! LINK. Looks like Scoe is out for a while, welcome back Roosevelt!
  22. Yes, our run defense sucked last year...BUT, is it possible they are schemeing too much to stop the run? It was pretty evident to me, yesterday, that we showed ZERO respect for the Raiders passing game, though understandable with the amount of injuries they had, Campbell carved us up with a RB as a WR (i know he was a former WR in college)and a rookie, who looked like a seasoned vet against McKelvin...I don't know if i'm not watching close enough, but I didn't see many blitzes and we looked slow off the edge. Also, it looks to me that Merrimen is handcuffed out there. If the same D shows up this Sunday, Brady may set a ingle game passing record. I'd like to see Wannstache take over the D and put Edwards back with the LB's. Our defensive gameplan next week should look something like: 1.) Hit Brady...often and pressure him up the gut to force him out of the pocket. 2.) Get a good chip on the TE's...we HAVE to hold up the TE's off the line 3.) MLB's have to stay at home in the middle of the field, and if he starts hitting those 5-10 yrd slant's combacks and outs, we need to have a man on the WR's making tackles immediately. 4.) Stay off the field...we need our O to help by sustaining drives and control TOP.
  23. Bench McKelvin and give Williams his shot...?
  24. Sounds like a competitor that's amped up and ready to prove that his team isno slouch.
