  1. We should sign him...Nnamdi & Flo...not a bad 1-1 @ corner. I know we have other pressing needs, but at least it will help on focusing our game planning on defending the run first. Brady, although a homo, is a great QB and he can light it up with average receivers...now he's got Ocho Cinco! Sanchex has yet to prove that he's actually a good passer and Miami blows, but now they have a, at minimum, a mediocre QB who's shown he can toss the rock...granted he had great receivers in Denver. Sorry, just rambling...grasping at straws for some FA action, I guess.
  2. He'll return to form with *NE playing in his natural position...if this doesn't lite a fire for the Bills FO, and stress the urgency of improving our OL, we're screwed. They MUST sign Clabo and i wouldn't mind upgrading @ G with Davin Joseph...imagine that line!! Bell, Levitre, Wood, Joseph, Clabo...nasty! I'll take a flyer on Bell though...he's shown improvement, so we'll have to wait and see.
  3. Yeah, definitely my bad. Didn't realize he's already 29.
  4. Ruud and Morrison are cut from the same mold as Poz was...solid, not great and probably be better with a stud next to him cuz he's not the stud that makes the other guy better...make sense? On the other hand, there is Burnett, who had a breakout year in 2010. Who's to say it's a system thing, or if this kid has found his footing in the NFL. I watched soe film on this guy and he is deffinitely everything Poz, Ruud & Morrison isn't! He's gritty and not afraid to jump up and plug a hole while taking on a blocker letting his teammates make the play if he doesn't. Plus, he's from Compton, so you know he's a tuff guy! I'd like to see what he and Sheppard could do in the middle for us.
  5. Make him the highest paid RT in the NFL! He could be a fixture on the right side of our line for the next 8-10 years. This signing alone would mak FA a success for the Bills.
  6. Everyone is right...fan favorite, the kind of guy you want to route for, etc. I'm drinking the cool aid too, except I won't be surprised if this guyturns out to be a good to very good player. The kind of intangibles Jasper has are hard to come by, and there is something to be said about playing with heart! I have my fingers crossed, but this could turn out to be one hell of a lucky pick.
  7. Smart a55!! How about someone within the last 3 decades?
  8. Yes...absolutely! Start a trend of signing the best available players to put the best possible product on the field to get the best possible results. Give us our money's worth! Winners beget winning!
  9. I read it after I typed this thesis...oh well, I like mine better
  10. I just read the latest from Buddy...Though I am a fan, his latest installment of philosophy cramming has pushed me over the edge! When are we, as fans, going to demand better from this franchise!? Why do we force ourselves to get excited year after year for the mediocrity that has become synonomous with the Buffalo Bills!? I understand that a team should be built through the draft...really, I do! But you must suppliment the draft by other means to be successful...um, like...FREE AGENCY and TRADES! We have one of the most successful franchises in the NFL right in our back yard, *NE. Year after year, we see that franchise jockey for position in the draft, pick up a key FA, and not hesitate to pull the trigger on a trade. Yet all we hear from Nix is "we're not gonna make a splash in the draft...we're gonna pay our guys that produce for us...if he don't produce we'll find someone who does..." Yeah..? Where..? on the practice squad of another team? There is a ton of talent, in area's we NEED to address, in this years FA class...Young guys...talented guys! We're in a position to be able to make those kind of pick ups and not break the bank, as well as addressing our own key FA's. To that point, I don't see Poz or Flo as a key FA! There are guys out there that are better, guys we should be spending our money on! I love the Bills, and the Bills' fans, and I love being a Bills fan, but most of us think we know more about football than we really do! I know this game...I've been in it for a long time...I still play and I study offenses and defenses alike. Poz is NOT a top tier ILB! He's, self admittedly, undersized MLB and he lacks the prowess to plug a hole at the line, or even take out a blocker or two to let someone else make the play. If you disagree, I beg you to watch him play...if you're like me, you have a handful of games DVR'd. Really watch him, focus on him and try and forget the play happening around him! I say let someone else overpay him. I'd rather sign Rudd from TB. He's been much healthier than Poz throughout his career and he's that hard nosed corn shuckn' Nebraska MLB who'll stick his nose in the fire nd make most of his tackles within a coupleyards of the LOS. I can't be to hard on Flo...I love the guy. He's a solid player that deserves a solid contract, but with the $$ the Bills have available, why not sign a top gun? Why not make a run at Asomugha or Cromartie? Though the Bills' secondary has turned out some very good players, we've never seen a shut down corner on this team. Unfortunately, this is a giant waste of time, yet theraputic! Until there is someone else at the top, this franchise will play second fiddle to the the rest of the NFL. Ralph makes a pile of cash every year, and do you know where a large percentage of it comes from...? Me & you, the fans. Because we refuse to stand up for our right, as fans, to have the best possible product on the field! We cower in the corner in fear of losing our team and buy tickets to the next game instead of protesting the only possible way we can by not going to watch an average team lose by three because we couldn't hold them, or finish, or score on the first posession in OT.
  11. IMO, Spaeth is the type of guy that we go after. Showed potential, not a big name & not a big price tag. An under the radar guy that this franchise is known to grab....accept this time, i think it works out for the best cuz I see this Kid as becomming a very, very good TE. Aside from Boss, Miller, Scaife & Heap would be stop gap guys and we know how this particular regime feels about those type of players. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy with any of them, but Spaeth is my front runner (and most realistic).
  12. Say this holds true and the lockout does, in fact, end today...when does free agency begin? Midnight? Or will there be a lag? Anyone...anyone...?
  13. How mad are you that your 1,872nd TO post got closed for, uhhh....redundancy? Looks like this thread lives on.
  14. John....take a breath, or even a drive to Toronto. As I said before, this isn't a forum of your peers it's a fan board. If it were, I would understand such frustration; however again, it's a fan board and you're denigrating the opinions of its patrons. I would venture to say that most of want to solicit opinion to our own threads without having to look up, and read through, countless other threads just to have our opinion lost in the abyss. For the most part, the mods catch on and close redundant threads. To a point your wrong…this is an original thread as the preceding 1,870 are anti TO and this is the converse. A+ on creative writing skills John! P.s. You're a pro, so you're not allowed to vent to us.
  15. Most people don't mind paying a higher rate for a better quality product, regardless of the economic environment. Spend the money available under the salary cap restrictions on higher end talent, both coaching and players, so as to provide a better quality product and a rate hike would be warranted and accepted. It's been easy to sacrific a Bills game or two every year to save some coin, but if you put a winning, competitive team on the field, people will make thier scrifices elsewhere.
  16. Well John, this is a fan board...and no one claims to be experts. It's all speculation and opinion...no matter what conclusions are reached, it doesn't really matter in the big picture. You have to take the posts for what they're worth and realize that the responses are mainly that of a venting of the frustrations shared by many. Sorry that the substance isn't up to your standards.
  17. Answer 1.) Yes...I can honestly disagree! We don't need to regionalize this team by playing "home" games in a stadium 2 1/2 hours away from The Ralph! We are the closest NFL Franchise to our northern neighbors, and they have, in the past, displayed a willingness to travel to Orchard Park and route for their team...well, the real Buffalo Bills fans anyway...The only thing that this Toronto series has done is give a destination vaca to the fans of the teams we play...Seriously, haven't you noticed that most of the fans at these games aren't cheering for the Bills? Answer 2.) This wouldn't even be a relevant question is there were never a "Toronto series." YES! We have a "right" to the Bills FOREVER! There are one of the founding fathers of this league that is steeped in tradition with the most loyal fan base in the country. The NFL without the Buffalo Bills becomes one prong short of a fork. Answer 3.) The most proven business strategy for generations..REINVESTMENT into your "product." When you reach a level of wealth, as Mr. Wilson has, there is no need to make money hand over fist year in and year out. The coin he has banked works for him and turns 7 figure profits. Reinvest into your team and give the fans what they deserve...the BEST POSSIBLE PRODUCT! Winning games & championships equates to regionalization!
  18. If Zach Miller was the only FA they bring in this off season, I would be a happy fan.
  19. How do you feel about Dan Marino?
  20. I use The Fat Jesus'(Hangover) and Ball's Deep (Softball terminology)
  21. Totally thought these big ol' country boys would be beer & whiskey guys...kinda bummed they were drinking b**ch juice.
  22. Are we gonna get a life size cardboard cut out of Ralph and peel a piece of his suit off every time we win a game?
  23. OOOORRRRRR....one can make the arguement that the #'s for the DL are scewed due to the fact that the LB didn't attack the LOS, plug a gap and turn the ball carrier back into the pursuing defenders...just sayn' IMHO, this is the case with Poz...he's a catcher! He waits for the blocker at the second level, sheds and tackles...not what I want out of the guy who is supposed to be the toughest SOB on the D!
  24. At first, I was like "is this guy smokn' a lil' sum sum in the mownin?" Then i realized that Plax, even though a bumb ass, is a very good wide out with great size...prototypical size for Gailey/Nix. Prison tends to be a humbling experience for those with as much to lose as Plax...Just ask Mike Vick! Anyway, I's bet he comes back without all that prima donna, egomaniacal crap he's pulled in the past. He could still be a very big impact type receiver. If we had the chance, I'd dump Evans and sign him without even giving it a second thought...just sayn'
